I am not too sure it works out that way, though indeed its likely that some people will show how it is in books and films for STO reasons. So this a generalisation and not aimed at Will or this film personally.

Reverse psycology could be playing here too,  showing things as they really are via fiction, most people will not get it and so dissacosiate from the reality they are being shown and associate it with fiction instead.
Also by showing things as they are and us not getting it we are somehow giving permission for it to occur subconciousley.
It may be like  a huge magic spell or similar to illuminati symbology that is everwhere whereby we as reality creators are actually either creating/boosting or giving permission for this reality via our unconcious mind as a reality creator.
Sometimes its so in your face that one can't help but wonder why the rest of the world can't see it and i offer this as one explantion as to why TPTB put it in plain view.
I do accept though if STO folk want to share their insights via Movies and Fiction then how else can they do it?
Its like in the Simpsons, some people in the "know" say they are telling us about the real USA while others in the "know" think Groening is freemason and getting people to disassociate from the horrors of what is being shown as humour, while most people want even see anything at all and the kids just laugh at the lower levels from the many different levels the show is written on.

lyra i agree that some of the things regarding scientology are very good such as thier views on naturpathic medicine and being against Big Pharma, hell even the Jehovah Witnesses were writing the truth about vaccinations 80 years ago and got villified for it and they understand the real dangers of blood transfusions.
My main gripe was with the allopathic cure being found in the film when it was allopathy that created the demons
in the first place, kind of like look our vaccinations made you sick but we will sell you the drugs to mask the symptoms that Big Pharma does reinforcing the belief back into "look guys only clever conventional scientists can save your ass when it hits the fan"

The main thing that really struck a chord with me about the film and is really scary  is we already have these genetically modified viral vaccinations.
Hepatitus B and Gardisal both contain GM viruses and Gardisal forced on to girls only........:(
Apparantly GM vaccines get the body to produce even more antibodies than normal vaccinations which results in the cellular immunity being suppressed even more and making one far more likey to get auto immune diseases and cancer in the future.
Genetic engineering is all about using GM viruses to re-write our DNA codes, vaccinations the ideal delievery sytem to do it by stealth.
Now in europe many of us reject GM food on mass and the GM food companies are having a hard time getting us to buy their frankinfood but i cant see too many making the connection with the GM vaccinations shot right into the blood stream.
