With all due respect, that is a horrendously short-sighted statement.

Quite the contrary visavis.  I meant to present my statement in a general form and the formula, if applied towards activities that put a person at risk of opposing authorities, will work perfectly to avoid unnecessary conflict.

Well, if you say so.

United States Constitution

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I don't know.  Perhaps the pessimism is somewhat unwarranted in the big picture, with my analysis of what I'm seeing with the erosion of liberties.  I'm not sure, maybe in the bigger picture we are safe in our being and there is ultimately no long-term threat.  But I cannot help but be concerned with seeing, in this immediate reality timeframe, what appears to be a police state slowly roll in.

A bit of a shift perhaps into a different perspective: I think maybe deeper in my spirit is a greater understanding; that they (tptb) will try this, they will try that... but they will not necessarily succeed.  I think that they may not succeed because what they are actually trying to control, the infinite part of the human Spirit, will reveal itself in a way so as to truncate the plans of control; though even as I have encouragement in my own spirit at present to be positive in this regard, I cannot foresee the specific ways in which this would happen.

I'd like to appologise for misinforming people about a demonstration permit.  I was disinformed by someone else and didn't bother to look into it myself.   The permit is only necessary if a a bullhorn or a loud speaker is used to communicate the message.  Otherwise, the citizens have the right to a peaceful public free speech as the constitution clearly states it.

I appologise once again for the misinformation.

Peace, PhiConcept.

Re: UF student Tasered at a Kerry Forum

Just my thoughts but that guy asked Kerry a few questions, and did not act violently or pose a threat to anyone.
They had no right to put their hands on him and attempt to forceable remove him, he committed no crime.
The police did though.
