Western Canada.  Yes, but it's not rampant (yet).  I'm not sure about out East, tho.  I suspect it's worse there.  Stay with it, Lyra.  You're onto Something.  I don't much but I know it's Something.

In all honesty I must admit that I laughed out loud and thoroughly enjoyed your post. I can utterly and completely relate. For many years now I've raged over the idiots and wondered why I had such intense hatred for them all, while at the same time, going through the 'Ascension process'. At first I felt a bit guilty over my seething rage towards the majority of humanity....but only a little tiny bit! Then I understood the why of it, and that was/is to get me/you/us into a very different place and realm of being. Forget the idiots and focus on what's happening to you now because that's what's really important. Transformation. Mega changes and all for the better. Welcome to the Ascension process. There's more and more of us higher vibrating humans of Light now than you'd ever guess, so you're not alone with any of this. Well done you.

In my exp this is a very accurate indicator. Here is what I think-

A. They are scared of inner dialog, afraid of a sudden influx of thoughts that might just be their own. Being so accustomed to being "externally commanded", any abrupt change will bring on paranoia, or even a panic attack.

Aa. They HAVE no inner dialog, and the input execution is all they ever run on, take it away and they have a meltdown.

This reminds me of the musical ruts thread,

T: Nah, not really, it's just background noise.
M: Oh, well then you won't mind if I...
T: HEY! Why'd you turn it off?
M: You just told me you weren't listening to it.
T: Yes I was! Turn it back on!

Yeah- white noise, and they are happy.

But just you try and turn it off........

And there's what I will call the "waiting room effect"

There is usually some type of distraction in a waiting room.

Magazines, a radio, a TV on the wall, toys for the kiddies.

But I'm sure everyone has been in one that only had crappy People or Golf Weekly magazines on the endtables, the people are always a bit shiftier without background noise.

And the extreme case- nothing.
Those waiting rooms with only garbage dollar store art on the walls.

People will try and mute any bodily funtions, cough politely, and they are shifty as hell! There are always a handful of (usually older) folks who seem perfectly at ease, doing crossword puzzles or whatever.

I'm not saying a waiting room is the place to find new friends lol, but just look for body language, stuff like that, and the awake types may start to stick out to you a bit more. Ask them a slightly "deeper than normal" question, see what their response is.

I hope things look up for you Mahatma!                       J

Re: I am totally fed up....

Great thread and good posts everyone.

I'm in eastern Canada, and sometimes I wonder "What's the difference between the US and here?"  But then again, I haven't been to the US so I honestly don't know - but I do know that it is mindless over here.  The same T.V shows, newspapers, magazines, shopping malls, fast cars, getting drunk on weekends, et al.

Like today, I went to pick up some blank CD's from the store.  The first thing I noticed once I hit the city was the noise level!  Wow.  Talk about loud!  So anyways, I go to buy Cd's, and then I overhear a conversation that the workers were having while I was paying for the Cd's.  It went something like.

"Why didn't you bring me coffee this morning?  I would have loved you if you did."
"Oh, yeah well *something, something* coffee"
"I'm leaving in 5 minutes so I'll get some then"
"You're leaving?"
"Yes"

Hmmmm, I don't remember it all.  The jist of it was about coffee of all things.  I think I may have dozed off while listening to that.

It's like commercials!  After you haven't watched T.V in a long time, and you see a commercial - they seem so "far away" and I can't understand them.

Back to the survey question!

I live about 4 hours away from Toronto, but I can say that the media influence is really bad.  A whole sub-culture of "punk/emo teens" has emerged for the kids, and the adults are just - well I don't even know what they are doing!  Just working all the time.

In the schools its not about education but populairity AND the distribution/access to drugs and alcohol (but it's probably like that everywhere).  And the thing is the teachers don't want to STOP the drugs from being in school, just use it as a mode to control people through fear.  In the last few years I was in high school you had to have a bathroom/hallway pass to walk outside of class!  And what we knew as "spares" got turned into "study period" where you had to choose between the library or cafeteria and STAY there until next period.  No wonder once we hit "adulthood" we follow the pack - elementry and high school are breeding grounds for sheeple.  I remember in elementry school we had to walk in single file!!  I can see it so clearly now, how it all started.  Walk in a straight line!  Follow the others!  Don't express yourself for the fear of being WRONG!  There is only RIGHT answers.

Ahh well.

Its already been said.

I'm glad for the silence.

BTW I am wondering what it's like in the US.  It's been said that its "really bad" in terms of the people and the 'feeling of security' but I am wondering how different it is from Canada.

Re: I am totally fed up....

Natural Mystic,

I remember the same exact things from elementary and high schools!  Exactly!... The single file walking and hall passes to pee and free periods in either the library or cafeteria!  (Wow.. for a sec, I could have sworn we went to the same schools! hehe)  My sister-in-law moved around a few times when she was young and had quite different experiences (more laxed) than I did.

What I found horrific is when talking with people just a couple of years older than me after I'd graduated, everyone's attitude (and I mean any person I spoke with) was "Oh...school.... It was never my thing... Who can remember?!... That was so many yeeeeeaaarrrrsss ago!"  I still can't figure out wtf that's all about!

You did remind me of one incident that I'll never forget that happened when I was in kindergarden... what a "welcome to earth" experience.... Anywho, I was never very "social" or "popular" with the other little boogers.  I was horribly shy, a bit tubby and my mamma dressed me funny, and so kids picked on me... but one really big girl used to bully me the worst.  One day, when we had our "coloring time" (we'd sit at a long picnic table and color pictures with our crayons which were kept in our individual little boxes with our elmer's and blunt scissors), the priciple of the school waked in to chat with our teacher about something.  All of us kids knew who this woman (principle) was and were just terrified of her because of her "authority".  Weeeelllll....it just so happened that while the two adults were talking, the girl bully somehow knocked her box of crayons all over the floor by accident and she was sitting right next to me.  I didn't even give it a second thought, got up and started helping her pick up her crayons.  The principle grabbed me roughly by my arm and yelled at me, "NO!!... SHE dropped them, SHE has to pick them up!!  YOU sit down!!"  I distinctly remember my horror at the injustice of the situation.  I learned a very real lesson about humanity that day.... Authority scared the shit outta me, and at the same time, I wanted to cry because I knew she was horribly wrong and wondered (again) why

Another thing that I had in high school was mandatory PE (physical education) classes all four years, but with a twist.  The year I started highschool, besides "normal" gym class every M,W,F, they started this thing where every Tuesday & Thursday were "physical fitness days", meaning that they'd run military-style drills.  They were endurance tests in all areas.  They'd run us silly with sprint-walk-sprint-walk and then we had to do push-ups, sit-ups, "burpies"/frog's, jumping jacks, etc. (counting up from 1 to 10 and back down) across the gym.  like one push-up...run to the other end of the gym; 2 push-ups (and shout out the numbers as you did them) and run to the other end, 3, and so on... all the way up to 10 and then back down, and then start on sit-ups or whatever was next.  Also, the same went for swimming, where we had to do a certain number of laps, doing various strokes and diving techniques.  All of this was done in a public high school, too.  I'd never heard of anyone else who went through such stuff.  But boy did it keep me in shape!  Did anyone have anything similar?

Re: I am totally fed up....

Pinkrylq,  I was in elementary school in the '60's,and it was pretty much like that for me.  I was a very sensitive kid, and I just remember the aurthoritative figures in school being way out of line. I never got in trouble, followed the rules (my father was also a teacher, and he ruled the house with an iron fist, you DID NOT break the rules!) but I remember one time in fourth grade I brought in a small doll of mine to school. During class, I was peeking in my desk to make sure my doll was still there and the teacher saw me.  She snapped her fingers and yelled at me and made me go stand in the hall outside the classroom.  If you were put out in the hall, that was REALLY BAD. So I had a lot of instances like that where the punishment never fit the crime.  We also had "air-raid" drills. It was the Cold War era so we had to do these drills where they would set off the sirens, we had to be completely quiet, follow in a line, drop down to our knees, put our forehead on the wall and put our hands behind our heads. Talk about scaring the shit out of a kid!! I wondered every time we had the drill, if this was THE ONE. Im going to be blown up and I will never see my mommy again. I dont want to die!!! I hated schooll.  School just reinforced what my father was doing to me at home, so there was no escape!

In the UK it is a very different situation to what it appears to be in the US.  Socially - we have far more freedom than most US citizens seem to.  A classic example is a pregnant women.

In most places in the US once a woman has given birth, the baby is taken away soon after to be kept in a nursery.  The mother only gets to see the baby at feeding times, or through a glass window.  In addition all sorts of drugs are given to the baby along with a multitude of tests.  This happens with or without the mothers consent.  Further as Lipstick Mystic pointed out, the mother is also under the possible threat of being force fed drugs if her emotions don't comply to what is "normal".

This is in stark contrast to the UK.  Once the mother has given birth, the baby does not leave the mothers side for the entire stay in the hospital.  Even when the mother and baby are moved from delivery room to ward they are kept together.  No tests or drugs are allowed to be given to the baby without the mothers express consent.  Further the mother is well within her legal rights to immediately check herself and the baby out of the hospital if she so desires, without any fear of legal repercussions.

The story Lipstick Mystic told us, would almost never happen in the UK.  It is very rare for anyone to be forcibly committed, unless they have serious mental issues.  The Police would be in for a world of trouble if they even suggested to an individual that they may not be quite right in the head.  This goes hand-in-hand with all the other mental issues that so many Americans constantly go on about.  Such as bi-polar issues, or that attention deficit order (not sure of the anncronym).  That is all pretty much unheard of in the UK.  We sure have issues with hyper-active kids that get too much sugar or E numbers...but no big deal is made out of it.  I get the impression that in the US people are very quick to jump on the "You need to see a shrink!" bandwagon.  Again - that is a rare suggestion over here.

It's the exact same thing with abortion...which isn't even an issue over here.  Some people don't like the idea, but it is generally accepted by all classes of society that it is the woman’s right to make the choice for herself.  It pretty much is a non-issue.

I could go on and on.  But the general gist of it is that in the US the public are treated like kiddies that don't know how to handle their own life.  That really doesn't go on much over here at all.  Unless you start looking at the state-aid issues where the government gives out welfare for almost anything and everything.

But on the other hand if we are talking about TAX, CCTV, traffic cameras, fear of terrorism, what we should and shouldn’t eat, and the constant pressing of the idea that the Government really does want what is best for us,  etc. then yes the UK is pretty much tied down.  But on a day-to-day level it doesn't have a whole lot of impact other than the fact that you don't dare skip a red-light, or you never know just when you are on a camera etc.  And although this is pretty shitty, I can live with it.  I don't believe I could live with the government being in my life in quite the same way as the US gov is with their citizens.

Maybe we are just on a different side of the same coin?

Re: I am totally fed up....

Excellent post Marcus, some of the medical horrors that take place in the US could not happen in the UK yet as we do have far more freedoms in that respect than the US but as you say in other areas we put with things like stealth taxes and being spied on that would probably cause a stink in the US.

Back to the originol post, could this be a question of tolerance and allowing thes epeople to suck you dry?, i work with these people every day and take a kind of pleasure in being different to them (down ego down boy), i never allow their realities to impinge on mine but can still involve myself in trivial conversations with them and even have the odd laugh which costs me nothing at all. Those people are not me or my reality so how can they upset me?
I have generally found that  being quite outspoken on issues you do get a kind of almost subconsious respect from many of these peole and if you keep an inner smile as though they are children and an awareness about you while with them i think this helps too.

Its not like we are fractions of the whole but rather versions of the whole.

Re: I am totally fed up....

Great stories, guys and gals!  And can I say I just want to give everybody a big hug? Those stories about the random cruelty and nastiness everybody went through in school just break my heart.

Marcus, the loss of liberty here in the US is a very insidious thing.....you don't hear about it much, it's just quietly happening behind the scenes. I'm a story collector who's always been interested in what real people are going through, and people have a tendency to open up to me, so I hear and see all this hair-raising stuff that the sheeple have no clue is going on.

Just a week or so ago I got together with an acquaintance I hadn't seen for a while. She's kind of one of those once a year friends that I see about once a year.  She had an episode last winter where she was working 20 hours a day on a deadline and the stress caught up with her. When she was home one morning talking with her husband she had a mild seizure and blacked out for a few seconds. She'd never had any history of blackouts, so it was pretty scary. She didn't want to go to the hospital after, because she was fine, but her husband insisted.

They did a million tests on her and everything turned out fine. That wasn't the scary part.

The scary part is this. In the U.S., if you have ANY loss of consciousness - i.e., if that's the reason why you're seeking treatment from a doctor or hospital, they AUTOMATICALLY revoke your driver's license for six months.

So my friend woke up one morning, had a spell, and because she went to the doctor's and did the "responsible" thing, they took her license away for half a year. Fortunately, she has had no seizures since then, but she had to fight with her attorney to get the driver's license revocation lifted at about four months.  And it was a real fight, too.

Here in the US, almost nobody works anybody near where they live.  It seems everybody has about an hour commute anymore. So the loss of a driver's license is very serious.  I'm lucky in that I have a home office, but my friend suddenly had to deal with not being able to get to work for six months if her husband, who works as a policeman, was on shift - because he wasn't going to be able to drive her.

So there's all this nefarious Big Brother stuff kind of percolating in the background.

Talking about pod people again....I'd like to add a question to Lyra's survey, if I may ....do people here believe that this pod people phenomenon is only hitting people in a certain age range? Does age play a factor?

Like, I always feel "safe" around people 60 years of age and up. They generally seem pretty normal and non-toxic.  Sure, as people get older, they get sicker, and sometimes if you walk into a restaurant full of senior citizens it's all people complaining about their bodily problems.  One day I sat behind an old couple, and they were both pretty hard of hearing, so they shouted at each other. And they kept outlining this gruesome list of gross bodily complaints, then moved on to detail all their friends' gruesome bodily complaints.  smile  It was really quite funny, actually. I mean, they didn't mean any harm by it, but it didn't exactly put me in the mood for my lunch! They were a sweet couple, though, so it was kind of charming in a way.

So I'm wondering if others here notice a difference in people of different ages?  The "bovine" thing that I observe seems to hit kids by about 14 and spans through adults up to about the age of 60.  I see a lot of sheeple in these age ranges, but not so many 60+ years.

It makes me wonder, too, if that older group of citizens bypassed a lot of the MILAB/abduction crap and never got drafted into the "programs" that have been going on for so many people of younger generations. That would make sense if, as conspiracy theorists often say, a lot of the mass abduction/mind control stuff started in Eisenhower's day when he gave the ET's permission to do what they wanted with us.  People older than that may not have been seen as prime or desirable targets for this experimentation, so their psyches haven't fragmented as much, and they aren't as Bizarro as the other pod people we see.

Older people can, of course, be just as dysfunctional and/or boring and dull-witted as younger types, but there seems to be a REALNESS to them, somehow. Whereas a lot of younger people don't seem REAL to me. There's a saying I learned back in my theater days which we used whenever we gave a performance that we knew wasn't up to snuff. We'd say "We phoned in that performance." Well, it's like a lot of these people are phoning in their lives....they're just not HERE in any real way.

Maybe these oldsters weren't so easily replaced? Did they have some kind of natural psychic immunity? Or did they just get lucky because they weren't seen as juicy targets for all of the crap going on?  I mean, one obvious thing would be breeding programs. The ET's are notorious for harvesting sperm and ova, and I'm sure they wanted to do this in people just reaching sexual maturity, not older folks, so people already in their 20's or 30's would not have been as desirable to the ET's as, say, a randy 16 year old whose sexuality might be more easily manipulated throughout his entire life.

And there's another aspect.....get 'em young, install the programming early, and you don't have to redo it.  Whereas somebody in their 20's or 30's in the 1950's might already have a strongly developed psyche and sense of self and wouldn't be seen as an easy target.

I don't know. These are just thoughts. What do you guys think?

Very true.  wink  It really is.  It's such a weird contrast too when you think about it....America was explored and settled by these adventurous, independent pioneers and immigrants, but the reality of life right now is that yeah, we're treated as kids, and many, if not most, Americans have a kid mentality, one that is always at the mercy of higher authoritarian forces that control their lives.  For instance, Americans are HUGE on calling the cops on each other.  (and this is another perfect example that ties into Mahatma's original complaints list.)   Get into a disagreement.....call the cops.  Someone pisses you off.....call your lawyer and sue them.  It's all about running to a higher authority like a little tattletale kid and having "the grownups" intervene and take care of one's problems.  It's ridiculous.  How did this happen?  In a country that started out the way that it did, how did it get to this mentality?   In SoCal I remember the cops were always being called for every little petty neighbor argument.   My brother had a police scanner so we'd listen to what was happening all around Orange County.  Neighbor's music is playing too loud?  Call the cops.  Don't like how someone is driving?  Whip out your cell phone and report them to the cops.   You picked a fight with someone and then they got mouthy back at you?  Turn the tables around and call the cops on them.  You think your neighbor's yard isn't up to par?  Call the neighborhood Association security wanna-be cops and report it.  Some people might think I'm exagerating here, but I'm seriously not.

I have a story about the time my brother lost his temper with one of these SoCal upper middle class heads-up-their-asses cop callers and bashed the guy's SUV with a baseball bat.  !  We were driving through Trabuco Canyon and the fancy shiny SUV in front of us was crawling along no more than 20 mph probably.  We gave it a few minutes, frowning, like, WTH is this guy doing?  Finally my brother honks, like, pull over and let us pass.  So the guy starts playing games and comes to a complete stop in the road.  My brother's like, AHH! and goes around him and we pass  and continue on our way.  The guy then hits the gas and comes after us.  ??  Okay, whatever, so he's behind us now and finally catches up to us when we hit the surface streets of Rancho.  Honks all loud at us at the red light.  Oh, yes, he sure showed us. roll  My brother's getting a "look" on his face as he looks at this guy through the rearview...but, he lets it go.  Forget it.  Let him honk, let him play his road games, let him stop in the middle of the road, then chase after us.  Forget it.  And that was saying a lot, because my brother was quite....volatile.  But we soon realize that this guy is continuing with it...he's following us back to our apartment complex.  We get into our complex and my brother stops his car and just sits there, watching through the rearview, frowning.  We see the guy writing stuff down....!  Like, taking my brother's license plate number it seems, possibly noting where we live.  That was the final straw.  My brother reaches around behind him, grabs his baseball bat, throws open the car door, and charges after this SUV, swinging the bat as he's walking.  That must have been quite a sight for them to see this kid with a shaved head, wife beater shirt, baggy shorts with duct tape rimming the edges and steel toed boots charging at them, swinging a bat.  wink  Gets up to the SUV and just starts smashing away.  The SUV lurches forward into the apartment complex road, but realizes he's going into a dead end circular drive.  So it stops again. because now he's trapped himself.  wink My brother follows, and hits it a few more times for good measure, and then the guy gets out.  It's a late 30's white guy, preppy, with his khaki shorts and tucked-in shirt, belt and cap on his head, and his dorky white sneakers with the socks pulled up tight.   And he starts crying. !  My brother sees that, lowers his bat in confusion (he was used to dealing with guys who actually acted like guys, not guys that cried in a confrontation) and says, "WTF....why are you crying??  Jesus Christ..." and just walks away shaking his head in disgust.  Gets back in the car, tosses the bat in the back seat and continues on his way.

Some people may be appalled at that story.  But I say, that just goes to show you how far programming in this country has gone.  When people act like that guy was acting, little prissy tattletales who start trouble, and dish it out, but then can't take it when it comes back to them, and run to the cops, and go crying - literally! - to the grown up authority figure who will take care of the mess they started in the first place, then something is seriously wrong here.  I actually thought it was funny what my brother did.  He didn't hit the guy, just the car.  And I think his response was an honest one.   It's the way things would have been handled between two feuding males way back when, back before social conditioning reprogrammed everybody.   And as someone mentioned earlier in this thread....the scene I just described would be something we'd see in a movie or on a TV show and think nothing of it.  But when it happens in REAL life?  oh my god!   NOOOOO!   So yeah, like somebody said, the movies and TV now live out the emotions and reactions that we're not "allowed" to express in our day to day lives.  Veddy interesting, and I didn't even really notice that or think about it until this thread.
