Have you yet met Rover, Ms. Juana Bea Persian, Sadie "The Scarf" Seagull, and mr. oyster, over there on the Humor and Fun page?

Personally, for me, these days I think laughter darn near outranks meditation, especially when it comes to healing, unless of course we're talking about spooks and demons... sometimes they require a white light bomb.;)  But I think auric tears born of sadness are pleasantly affected by continued laughter.

I also see this--when the time does come to be serious, we're not all burnt out on spinning our wheels trying to be serious all the time, I think it makes us more effective to put seriousness on the back burner until it's really time to cook.

In a consumer society, you learn to read between the labels. Which translates to, because I had something to offer to the discussion and some free time.

UnbiddenTruth,

I don't know what you're talking about with the deleted thing, I never deleted anything, it's still right where it was.

I'm not really sure where you are trying to go with this, but as far as I'm concerned I had asked you an honest question, and you had given me an honest answer.  That was the end of the converstation for me.

I see I have offended you, and I sincerely apologize... why don't we leave it at that instead of it turning into a horror story, okay?

Peace... please,

Auendove

Oops! I thought I had scanned the page well before editing that post, please excuse me. I wasn't offended; no harm was ment by that. (Thanks BlackBox for letting me know how to label quotes in the first place, BTW) smile

Fixed the post. Thank you for drawing my attention to it.

Unbidden Truth,

No problem, it's nice to know we're on the same page.

Re: It's the end of the world!

Hi,

Here is an interesting article that summarises some of the theories for June 2004 and puts them into context.

Interesting reading with regard to September 2004.

Re: It's the end of the world!

Today I was looking at the world and I realized that it CANNOT repair itself simply through an (utopian) mass raising of awareness.
I shed a tear and looked away.

Hi,

Oh yes it can.......... :-D

Humanity are fleas on a dogs back. 70% of the earth surface is water.

Dont underestimate Gaia......this lady can rock when she wants to. One could see humanity as Gaia's make up/cosmetics - ok, so this time around humanity has caused an allergic reaction, eyeliner is smeared and her breath smells of vodka (my kinda girl), but she still gets up every morning at the crack of dawn, supports her family, runs a household, holds down a career and is never late for work and has the highest personal integrity.

I believe the question is whether or not humanity will survive Gaia, and not the other way around.

*laughs hysterically*

That's actually the best portrayal of things I've ever seen in anthropomorphic terms!

Both Gaia and the universe like survivors, especially ones who can survive, recover, and evolve from difficult experiences. ^_^

Ya...what if she pukes the majority of us into oblivion?

Re: It's the end of the world!

That's for Gaia to decide. Though I would remind that no matter what path you take, there are those who will want to see you make it to where you're going.. and if you can indeed find an entirely new path, then lots of souls will follow.

But has water the consciousness that human beings have (or at least the potential for consciousness)? I think she values us and respect our growth otherwise, considering all the harm we have done to her, she would already have wiped us out.

Another good point ermolai. It occures to me after reading your point that calling gaia a dog isn't exactly what I would call open minded either.

Agreed!
I do not see any humanity-wiping cataclysm in my crystal ball more than I do a mass enlightenment.

Gaia is doing very well. I prefer the natural look though! (lol)

Hi Unbidden,

Am I correct in understanding you when you write:

"calling gaia a dog isn't exactly what I would call open minded either"

It appears that I have a closed mind because I use a metaphor that compares humanity on earth to fleas on a dogs back?

Please qualify
