Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

Kamala, excellent posts, you are summing up many of the things that have been on my mind for the past couple years. It is very difficult to unravel the deception, when so many "feel good" paradigms are eagerly sapped up by the desperately anxious New Age crowd. I personally found my brain in a confused fog after ingesting many popular New Age paradigms a couple years back. I am only now working through the mess and it is very disturbing to observe the sheer degree of deception afoot here.

FYI, Howard Stern (US talk radio "shock jock" DJ) is a big proponent of TM. I was subjected to hearing his radio show every morning while working in a warehouse for a while. He seemed on one hand very calm and centered, in that sort of "comedian improv zone", while at the same time his material is utterly base, moronic, shock-oriented. He also remarked regularly that he couldn't focus on reading anything longer than about a page. When you mentioned TM, that was the first person who came to my mind.

In the same way you could say "follow the money", you are very correct about saying "follow who is associating with the "great white brotherhood"" to see just who is walking totally in line with the NWO agenda. Ditto, Blavatsky.

Interestingly, the Pleiadians who figure so strongly in modern (70s-00s) channeling, have been "summoned" and channeled before by groups such as the Rosicrucians, the Mormons (right, or was it Jehovah's Witnesses?), and there is a Masonic Lodge called the Seven Sisters Lodge which is referring to the seven stars of the Pleiades. This was in the 1800s. I have not found MUCH written on it, but I'd like to investigate this further. They seem directly tied to the NWO by this association, IMO at least. I read all the Pleiadians books too... (sigh)

Druid, don't get me wrong, but I have intuitively disconnected from pretty much all film makers even slightly associated with the American mainstream. David Lynch, while using very fascinating imagery, JUST from being related to big Hollywood money I am left to assume that he is either being manipulated and given some degree of "fame" as a reward, or he is a willing participant in the deception. Ditto goes to the makers of the Matrix films. I am genuinely surprised to continuously see people reference the Matrix as though it was some sort of heavy spiritual text. Keanu Reeves, for f-sake! Maybe it is my own arrogance to think of this media as "entry level" spirituality at best, but I think it is mostly to do with social engineering aimed at the widest cross-section of THE AMERICAN PUBLIC as possible. Ditto Waking Life and Scanner Darkly. Ditto What The Bleep. I used to be an absolutely OBSESSED film buff, and I totally had the entire David Lynch collection (I would have told you Eraserhead was my favorite, Lost Highway really blew my mind as well). Meditation has intuitively guided me away from TV and movies, and now I haven't watched a "feature film" in about two years.

Kamala, thanks again for your posts

Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

Spectacular thread everyone, and great posts.  Where to begin?  Well obviously focusing on NWO agendas and such shall not improve the current world state.  The comments regarding transcendental meditation is very intresting, and even more intresting is that in my town there is a highly talked about man that teaches it to people.  I can't say I have attended any of his seminars, as I think that we are capable of creating our own personal techniques which help liberate ourselves.  On to David Lynch, and well, I have seen Mulholland Drive and even though, at the time I had no clue what the movie was about I enjoyed it.  Tim I agree with what you are saying about those movies.  For example in the Matrix the MAJOR disinfo lies in the machines being the source of creation and as others have said "The machines representing disconnected spirit", which doesn't make sense what so ever.  The first movie was good though.  As for Richard Linklater, his movies do "seem" to go against the status quo.  I enjoyed waking life when it first came out, and actually still enjoy some of the aspects discussed in the movie, but like all movies, it cannot capture the essence of truth and liberation.  But it can be used as a tool, for either ends.

Now on to the fun part!  The Matrix and 2012!  I think the Matrix is very much a creation of the ones that seek to enslave, using electronic waves and many other techniques to keep us ignorant, weak and trapped.  I think what they fail to realize is that there will be people who reject the system, and because of all the suffering these people have gone through, they begin to strengthen and realized their inner and higher creative potentials.  And this potential, only speaking for myself, comes from within.  Sure there are many sources saying different things and its tough to discern, but really, trusting in the self helps to break though the fog of lies and deception, and once broken, the outer becomes a reflection of the inner and vice-versa and, again only speaking for myself, the knowledge that is being presented to you is also being drawn to you via energetic vibrations.  I hypothesize that inner knowing is the key to self realization.  And thus unto 2012, which I think is another misinformation tactic, used to project oneself into the future and await salvation, when I think the real issue is that the world is becoming increasingly sensitive to energy/magic, or in other words, reality is becoming a fantasy, and the big deception of 2012 is that it puts the focus away from the present and the ability for us to transcend the matrix and become the creators in a fantasy realm of many, many possibilities.  The irony is we'll sit down on a couch and watch various shows showing us what IS possible, but we'd rather watch it on the televsion than practice it ourselves.

I can't formulate how I feel at this moment, it is beyond language, but I have been noticing that all the seeds that have been planted - and many here may have planted a few - are begin to sprout and grow, and change is occuring on Earth, and it's direction although unknown is in our hands.

Although I do have a few questions, one being this idea of group/hive mind, and I must say it doesn't sound too desirable, so wouldn't individual growth and realization be all that is needed, and not everyone "tunning in" to the same station?  If we are all tunned to the same station the ability to discern is completely gone.  And if we came here via incarnation, along with the amnesia, would we just come here to futhure enhance our individual souls knowledge and experience, OR are we here to indirectly spread knowledge and the possibilities of the Divine indirectly combating this negative influence upon mankind?

Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

I was thinking about the BORG/collective conscious thing and possible ties with WIH. Imagine that, reincarnate into a hive mind with zero chance of free thought and spiritual development. I guess it's the most efficient way to keep the energy flowing.

what ascension process are we talking about here, is it on an individual level by your own inner work, justice will be done, you go where you've set yourself, creating your own reality seeing through the matrix as to not to be caught in it, connecting with  spirit or is it to 'save the world' by bringing everyone into the 'oness' system, so that finally people will see what is going on and stop being bad and peace for everyone will be finally here....or even more, so that heavenly beings from higher dimensions can come to give us a hand to sort this mess out...

I don't think it's any of those exclusively.  The first one you mentioned is definately involved in the process, but the second two seem to be impossibilities.  I used to be a communist (with a lower case c) and thought that it would take everyone in the world to cooperate before we could have lasting peace and prosperity.  Once I had went through major oneness orientation and integrations a few years back I quickly came to realize that the second option you mentioned was an impossibility due to the psychopathic nature of the world we live in, Earth circa 2012.  The third option can't be the sole process because they have only and can only help passively.  It is limiting to have to rely on outside help.  If they are there and offering help and can be discerned as a mutally beneficial, safe, and loving then by all means accept the help, but the first option about individual work alongside STO social development are the main active processes involved IMO.

kamala wrote:

...please can someone explain what the ascension process is?

Because from what i've found out so far is that the ideals of the ascension process that are so widely spread might not be as liberating as everyone thinks...

From what I can tell from self-discernment of life experiences, observations, individual sources of info (books, people, etc), the state of the world, and societal trends, it is evident to Ones such as ourselves here that something is happening and is most likely coming to an apex some time relatively close in linear time.  What it does to linear time and space/matter is something else.  To me there just doesn't seem to be any other option because of the sheer chaos and polarization of those heading back to spirit and those just arriving in matter or not sufficiently aware and polarized to ascend.

I think those that are experiencing the true ascension know who they are and those that get trapped will probably be recycled, assuming a shift into 4th density or a similar concept, although I'm not sold on the having to restart at the "beginning" of 3rd density thing, I think that was a scare tactic of sorts on the part of the C's to LKJ.  I think that even if you miss "graduation" you would still have made it far enough that your "next" incarnation would be "easier".

I see a probable diverging of timelines or "realities" with those who are supposedly called and "chosen" transcending the gap between 3rd and 4th densities.  It may also be possible that those souls who "came back" here at this time are only the vibrational anchors that will ensure the safe passage of the earth into 4th density, and that they will have a chance to just go back to wherever their soul was at when it created this particular incarnational involvement of Earth circa 2012.  Those who graduate that are incarnationally tied to the earth and its solar system logos and evolve as 4th density beings and have gained the polarizing momentum will be on the upward or ascending path to reunite as one on a clear path.

I don't think anyone of us will truly know how it comes about or if 2012 itself is even a legitimate date, especially as ascribed to modern new age paradigm systems until the actual "event" happens.  I think it's already happening and while we should keep probabilities in the back of our minds just in case, all we need to do is endeavour to become balanced and evolved as possible both individually and socially.  Also, if 4th density is the "love" density then it would make sense that a healthy dose of heart chakra/higher emotional development would be a requisite.  Have no fear, all the blanks are filling in.

This is of course assuming that anything is actually happening and maybe we're just destined to fall off the cliff and go splat.  My bet is on the former.

That's a good phrase for wrapping up the general campaign trying to shut the process down.  It is nevertheless an intrinsic part of the ascension process as catalyst for polarization.

This IS a good breakdown of the effects of the metaphysical conspiracy that NaturalMystic mentioned.  Thanks for the concise summary there Montalk.

Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

Eraserhead is one scary movie. The way I experienced it, it shows the planet turning into an eighth sphere: the world turning gray (black and white) and mechanical, machine-like, devoid of soul, and love. People are cold inside an cold in their relationships, if they have any. Only bitterness, sadness and anger spills emotionally speaking. Every body is only intend on his own pleasure, like immature children. Many as downright crazy, the world is so dull and tormenting that it makes you want to be disconnected from reality. It provoques dissociation. Henry finds comfort and non-suffering in the heat of his radiator near his bed, the only warm thing in the movie, except the baby-monster that seems to experience feelings of sympathy or antipathy.  He dissociates and imagines himself inside, being free from all the troubles of the world, in a false world made up in his imagination. There, a hairy cheecked women steps happily on foetuses, suishing and squirting them under her foot, delighted and smiling. There Henry is free from perpetual anxiety and free from the real world. In one of his dreams, he dreams that his head is cut off and falls on a harsh asphalted street, where it is taken up by a kid who sells his brain substance to... I'm not gonna tell you what it is for, you just HAVE TO watch it.

the process and substantification of the eighth sphere is a kind of alchemy of dissociation: the soul gets fragmented under such stress and the brain suffers from dissociation, creating psychosis. In multiple personallities, mediumnism, psychosis, addiction, dissociation under stress and torture, etc., brain substance is taken by lucifer and mineralised by ahriman. Thus the world gets gray and ugly and people flee in fantasy land this dreadful world, which in turn becomes even worse because people do not care anymore, the don't have the will to do something to save the world and themselves anymore. the machine eats up man, and mangets lost in the labyrinth-suburbs of psychotic dissociation.

Eraserhead is the most scary movie I have ever seen. Too realistically depicting how the planet is turning into a prison-machine nightmare where man is utterly dissociated, decapitated, fragmented, dehumanised.

Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

Awesome insights kamala.  Thanks for posting this.  I didn't know there was a campaign going to push TM on college students, that is pretty creepy.  It's worth remembering that The Beatles were used to introduce TM to mainstream western culture, and they later spoke out against the Maharishi.

I am not into meditation myself.  I like letting my mind travel spontaneously where it will go.  I feel like telepathy is a natural human ability.  It's just a matter of sorting out what thoughts are your own, and what thoughts are coming from elsewhere.  If I pick up on something interesting I try to have an active conversation with it.  It's important to me to be able to do that.  I don't enjoy being in a frame of mind where I would passively accept whatever thoughts or suggestions are coming in.

I don't understand the desire of bringing people together mentally in a global meditation or global mind.  "Planetarization of consciousness"?  Consciousness is free-flowing and infinitely sharing with itself in all ways.  I believe that what one person gains in personal awareness, becomes available all consciousness on the deepest levels.  The point being that we are allowed to explore whatever challenges we choose.  So yes being locked into one frequency or one "hive mind" not only stifles opportunities for personal growth, it restricts collective growth as well.

All this is reminding me of the movie Zardoz, which I haven't seen in a long, long time, but I think there was something in it about people being punished if they had the "wrong" thoughts, individual thought was seen as a threat to the stability of the group.

WOW, Druid! I was definitely not seeing through those eyes when I was 17 and calling Eraserhead one of my favorite films! I see totally what you mean, you actually explained some of the images I really never "got". I used to love the thrill of watching horror films and getting "freaked out" by them. Eraserhead was very depressing, but at the time I was a super-depressed all-dressed-in-black chubby kid, so I think I mostly thought it was "intense, fascinating, provocative, enigmatic." I actually find a lot of media and films, even intentionally "up-beat" ones, to be honestly rather horrifying now...

the process and substantification of the eighth sphere is a kind of alchemy of dissociation: the soul gets fragmented under such stress and the brain suffers from dissociation, creating psychosis. I have become especially interested in MPD/DID (dissociative identity disorder) and dissociation in general and how it is at play in our society. I see what you mean, about the downward spiral cycle of losing brain substances, seeing the world become grayer, caring less, losing more brain substance, etc.

It seems to me that our entire world has been subject to trauma-based mind control on a mass scale, and the inducement of PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) is the standard consciousness operating mode in our society (at least in the US). Dissociation is the norm. Many people in my age group strike me as very dissociated, and I believe it is because of the rampant epidemic of child abuse and molestation in this country, which is literally EVERYWHERE.

I assume it is a reversable thing. I assume healing is possible. But I also see people like Brice Taylor, who through trauma-based mind control from infancy was shattered into an extremely complicated MPD-system of personalities, and who had to spend over a decade of time and over $300,000 in finances for therapy and healing work that finally helped her break through her repressed memories and restore at least a functional "unity" to her fragmented parts. She is one of apparently thousands, and possibly hundreds of thousands of survivors of the same agenda of trauma-based mind control out there. I understand that Neurofeedback therapy, as well as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) are showing a lot of positive results treating PTSD as well as DID.

"Is it a lost cause?", is what I'm asking. Can the damage be reversed? I believe that it can, ALWAYS, but since I haven't seen it happen yet, I am just patient and trusting, without experiencing that validation.

Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

Channeling is totally in synch with dissociation/split of personality, by objectifiyng a part of the self that is  in the future and taking it in the present. Sure this 'evolved future self' is a great teacher, but channeling goes in the same track as dissociation of personnality. Steiner said that people who get into a spiritual quest of knowledge but do not work upon themselves at the same time experience dissociation in many spheres of their lives. Some become mediums for anypart of themselves be it in the Future, in the spiritual world, an extraterrestrial being or whatever.  This is not the proper way of integration of self, individuation, freedom and responsibility that is needed for the quest of knowledge.

Anthroposophical psychiatry seems to help a lot in DID and MPD cases, if one can ever heal completely from it.
In anthroposophic treatment of MPD or DID, the many personalities learn to know the existence of each other, while witnesing the birth of the self of the Individual. I remember that during therapy, the personalities gathered around the newborn unitary self, bringing gifts, like the three king-mages that came to the newborn Jesus-Christ to give him blessings and gifts.

If, in parallel to becoming a medium (and relying on any outer autorities, be it another person or another self in our fragmented individuality), the person follows a 'spiritual quest' of annihilation of self, it is even worse. The Individual can never truly come to spiritual advance because its birth is repressed, it is ever killed at birth ; through dissociation, through false spirituality that fights the Ego or Self instead of taking it to a sense of responsibility that is founded on our own thinking and will (not by artificial 'selfelessness'). Of course one must become selfless, but not before its own birth of Self, otherwise it is just a reverting back into the chaos of unconsciousness, absence of self-conscisouness.

Asuras are bearers of these forces of fragmentation of self and spirit, thus binding the pieces of Self to matter (then people become lost in the eighth sphere and these parts are lost for good). Steiner mentionned that their activity was only in its beginings in the begining of the century, around the first world war and bolchevik revolution (he died in april 1925, food poisoning, probably by nazis or Jesuits).

Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

Awesome thread. Thanks to everybody for their insightful thoughts.

montalk, you could base an entire book on your top ten list of twisted faux spiritual principles. This is important stuff. I got the chills reading that list.

druid, your comments on dissociation are right on. It's so true that quest for knowledge without doing the work on yourself is a recipe for disaster. Rule number one, Know Thyself. It's the most important key to freedom from the wheel. So many people get distracted by the bright lights of spirituality they miss what the light is trying to show them. It's like shining a flashlight in the dark, looking for the key you dropped, but you become so entranced by the flashlight that you never find the key. I wonder if I haven't fallen into that trap over and over again. This forum has done more for me in regard to focusing on the key (and not the flashlight) than I can say.... and I have all of you to thank for that. Thank you smile

Case and point, this thread is such a confirmation for me about the pitfalls of various types of meditation - in particular - not only the dangers of TM, but possibly the danger of any kind of meditative "routine." Over the years, it feels like I've been guided to keep my meditation fresh, to mix it up, not to stick to any one kind of meditation technique... that a meditative state is not always the goal. That there are other techniques to tone/tune the mind and spirit and they can arise spontaneously and naturally during the moments you sit in silence - always different, always fresh, nothing rote about it. I never really understood why everytime I tried to sign up for a course, or join a group that practiced a particular "method" of meditation, I would inevitably deviate from it even though it "worked" quite well! This thread really got me thinking about what kind of doors going into a trance twice a day might have opened for me. FRIGHTENING. I hope people continue to elaborate on this thread. This concept of faux spirituality is hot, hot, hot. More people need to be talking about this.

Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

I can't find any references to support this on the web, but I am certain that I read somewhere in my Steiner library that Steiner warned people of his time concerning the dangers of yoga respiratory exercises. He says yoga was intended for humans living a long time ago, millenias agos, in a time when the body constitution and functionning was very different. Yoga was intended to warm up the blood and fill it with spirit, in order for man to develop his I consciousness. Now that I consciousness is developped in almost all of us (many still lack behing in sentient soul and intellectual soul development that came after the Indian period), it is not necessary, more thant that, it is not good for us. respiratory exercises take us back into an ancient state of mind, it is an atavistic factor in our experience of self-consciousness. It also works on the body and chakras in a hurtful way because it attracts luciferic beings to the chakras and these beings distort our chakras (distorted for good unfortunately) and make us feel bliss and see visions, all of an atavistic nature, which should not be revived, at least not that way.
The yoga of modern man that Steiner proposed is a thinking yoga where perception replaces the breathing in and thinking concept is the breathing out. In the process of respiratorial perceptual thinking relationship to the world, we do not force the body to take up more breathing that natural. We exercise ourselves to breathe in clear percepts and breathe out understanding in clear concepts, thus this is a respiratory process of production of clear image, leding us to Imaginative faculty, which is the first step in 'anthroposophical training' if you want, that is to enliven dead concepts and dead percepts and application of coldness on our inner life that is often too passionate and filled with desires.  We must not get free of desires, we must enoble them by working on them instead of repressing them on focussing on forced breathing exercices.

Yeah, I remember Steiner talking about Luciferic influence entering through breath, that those who are heavily deep breathers tend to have a Luciferic "air" about them. However, I'm thinking that modern society is overly Ahrimanic anyway, where shallow breathing is too common.

Internet addiction can be accompanied by shallow breathing, disorganized thoughts, lowered attention span, and nervous tension manifested as shaking the foot or leg. That is characteristic of a weakened etheric body (per Steiner's Overcoming Nervousness), and I find it interesting that this goes hand in hand with Ahrimanic influences being associated with technology. Just a hunch, but I believe that churches, schools, offices, and department stores often have very poor air quality, as in lowered oxygen levels and too many positive instead of negative ions (too much DOR, in Reich terminology) that would increase Ahrimanic tendencies towards mechanical behavior, consumerism, and suppression of spiritual or transcending impulses. I wouldn't be surprised if certain commercial chains like Wal-Mart purposely use such technology, going beyond subliminals, to increase senseless spending in their stores.

Our culture is programmed to have shallow breathing. Men are told to have muscular chests, women bigger breasts, both smaller stomachs, so this causes people to suck in their stomachs and breathe shallowly with their chest. I also have reason to believe that lowered self-esteem, whether through self-destruct programming via abductions or social conditioning can lead to the subconscious thought or command "I do not deserve to exist. I do not deserve to breathe everyone else's air," which causes chronic hypoxia.

So a bit deeper breathing would be in order to restore things to equilibrium. Okay, that's not the same as Yogic breathing, but it seems to me that for anyone afflicted with very shallow breathing, practicing deeper breathing is alright to restore things, which is different from using it to go beyond equilibrium to access so-called atavistic powers.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

This is a great thread, thanks to everyone who has contributed!  Kamala, your original post talked of the us government's intentions with these 'borgifying' programmes.  I'd like to get back to this for a moment and share something which may add another dimension to 'their' perspective.

From an article by Geoff Olson in the current issue of Common Ground (local holistic magazine).  I was actually in Dairy Queen of all places (lol) reading this:

Geoff Olson, in 'Virtuality and its discontents' wrote:

For a clue on how deeply Washington has descended into a Bizarro World virtuality of its own, consider this anecdote reported by Ron Suskind of The New York Times from his 2004 conversation with a “Top Republican aide"  to Bush:

“The aide said that guys like me were ‘in what we call the reality-based community,’ which he defined as people who ‘believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.’ I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. ‘That’s not the way the world really works anymore,’ he continued. ‘We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality... We’re history’s actors . . . and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do.’ "

Not the way it works anymoreWe're an empire... we're history's actors?  Clearly veiled references here to something much deeper and monolithic.  I was disappointed that the author did not carry this further.  But I think it's a really telling anecdote no less.

It's even slightly leading me to question, who's really behind the YCYOR stuff.  Remember that the Hagelin guy from the website mentioned at the top of this thread, was a main interviewee in the "What the Bleep" series!

Okay, that's not the same as Yogic breathing, but it seems to me that for anyone afflicted with very shallow breathing, practicing deeper breathing is alright to restore things, which is different from using it to go beyond equilibrium to access so-called atavistic powers.

I agree 100% wiht Montalk. We must learn to breathe correctly and unfortunately we are conditionned to have a small belly. In truth we should have a slightly round belly when we are standing up, to help the breathing process and give it the space it needs.
But for spiritual training, it involves more the spirit activity, a sharpening our faculty of living thinking that can extend to the spiritual realms. Using the body to take ourselves in mystical bliss would be like using drugs or relying on mediums. It is taking material means to elevate ourselves, upward from the ground to the skies, like the tower of Babel and the spiritual fornication of its sacred prostitution and orgiastic extacies. I know I express a 'judgment', but moral thinking must not be confused with judging people or activities, otherwise our thinking would all fall prey to moral relativism by rejecting moral imagination.

Re: THE BIG TRAP: NWO, Global Peace Meditation, David Lynch, Matrix, 2012

For so long, I felt that the many "healing" techniques I tried to adopt were "not working" and/or "I was doing them wrong" (my fault!). It is becoming clearer why I intuitively, beyond the power of my conscious ego intentions, could just never stick with a meditation routine, or symbol-oriented reiki, or holotropic breathwork, or all the channeled "light work" healing meditations, or all these other dogmatic routines. They never felt quite right... they never felt like they were "working". I could do them one day, but I'd feel no draw to them the following day... even though I felt like "but I *should* feel a draw to them!" All the channeling, the see-no-evil positivity of YCYOR paradigms. All these things my ego wanted to believe, because they seemed like a good idea, a positive thing to do! But they just never "stuck", I just couldn't get them to feel right. I was really anxious thinking that was a personal failure on my part. Perhaps I should be grateful that in spite of all my "desire", I was guided away from what are now appearing to be harmful and deceiving paradigms, disguised as positivity! I have maintained an active meditation and prayer life, but it has always been of my own design, basically spontaneous, and constantly changing. I can't even imagine writing it down as some sort of dogmatic guide book, because it would make no rational sense usually.

Yikes, this world is deceptive! When is this crazy game going to be done with? I'm a bit sick of it. I am still confused too... I don't want to become so paranoid that I start throwing babies out with all these different tubs of bathwater...

Interesting about the yogic breathing thing too... I could never stick with yoga. I think Lipstick Mystick mentioned the poses being aligned to control-oriented Nordic Aryan entities, which I can't confirm but it actually made sense when I read that. When I was younger, I learned about how important it was to breathe deeply, into the abdomen, letting it sort of poof out a little, breathing slowly and smoothly, no holding your breath. I notice that I breathe often three times slower than most people around me. I have been doing it for so many years now, I don't think about it. Perhaps rather than using the breath to go into trances though, it is better to be consciously PRESENT with the breath. Also I think maybe high-energy excercise is downplayed... a lot of us are too sedentary if anything, and probably we should be breathing faster and getting our heart rates up more often.

Tim I can relate to what you're saying, I've never been able to stick with any particular routine or technique, be it meditation, visualization, energy work, whatever.  And I used to think, what is wrong with me, why can't I get into this?  It's like it all seems really appealing on some level but actually putting it into practice is just not all it's cracked up to be.

A lot of times I have read about a particular method and thought, oh yes I'd like to try this, and maybe tried once or twice with little success or enjoyment.  And after that I would just lose interest.  But somewhere in the back of my mind I have still held on to the idea that I *should* be doing this stuff on a routine basis.  And being honest with myself, I don't really want to.  I would rather be spontaneous with it, like if I happen to be outside and the weather is nice maybe I will fall into a trance just watching the clouds (if there are any REAL clouds to be seen in the sky these days it's a freakin miracle).  But I am not going to make a ritual out of it, that would spoil the fun.

I believe if you have a lack of interest, or more so a real sense of resistance about doing something that appears "positive", there is probably a good reason to stay away from it.

I learned to breathe deeply from being a singer and playing a wind instrument, so I think about breathing in terms of sustaining sound and projecting energy.  In a choir, there are always places in the music where everyone needs to take a breath, but you can't all breathe at the same time because it would ruin the phrase.  So you have to stagger your breathing and be different from each other to maintain a continuous, unified sound.
