re JK not mentioning chakras/kundalini, I can understand that.  His spirituality is very down-to-earth, and about our here and now experience--as you say, the root of it is consciousness.
I think he would have said that the subject of chakras and kundalini is a distraction/irrelevant.

I don't think you need any big dramatic kundalini experience for
it to be active.  This is a very personal thing and can manifest in many different ways IMO.

wow Sowelu - that was a great explanation ... i've never put it together for myself like that before but i follow what you were saying

and Jen - i feel the same way - that JK might have it exactly as you did - "that the subject of chakras and kundalini is a distraction/irrelevant." and I would also have to agree with that statement.

But then of course regarding that very subject of Kundalini energy and how it works, i do have an idea about it and i feel its relevant to what we're talking about so i'll put it out there - (i think this probably true for both sexes): that the Kundalini energy won't rise up from the base of the spine and "light up the brain" until the individual has actually "transmuted" - as Montalk (hi Tom) said - that "raw" sexual energy - and of course that takes a set amount of time to activate this Kundalini if the energy was previously being channelled in a manner inhibitting "Kundalini- Brain-Fire-I-See-More-God-Syndrome" (hehe) - (but you just gotta be - kant worry about that) - and you can be having a healthy life that includes sex as a part of it with all this business happening -  at this point you see the God within and are operating in that mode in all facets of your life - that's what keeps you free and eternal ... also, if you're in a special relationship with someone your partner may very well be someone who's at least similar to you in that one respect - in the sense that his/her focus is this unfolding process, I mean the whole business of self awareness and living - is the same "Path" you've chosen - and so you're both travelling in the same direction.

I've read this thread over the last few days, and overall my opinion is this:

Positive energy is just that, and I doubt Neg's have much use for positive energy.  They're probably downright appalled by it.  So as long as your energy is positive, I'd think there should be few if any problems.  Just seems to me maybe its the intent and quality (frequency?) of the energy behind it, rather than the act itself.

Or, maybe I'm crazy?

No Risen you are not crazy. It never ceases to amaze me how such supposedly enlightened people can all fall in line with just a key word or two. "Sex", "marijuana", oooh....bad...

You are entirely correct when you say "Positive energy is just that". If you participate in  sex for the benefit of your partner and pass that energy to him or her because you genuinely want to please them and because you love them those dang lizzies get SQUAT.

You are 100% correct and as far as I can see about the only one doing it right.

This constant ebb and flow is a natural part of the in-human learning system, no aspect of which should be disregarded for any reason.

I agree this, but there seems to be a problem here. Although what happens to those energies afterwards our personal experience is none of our concern, it sure is somebody/something else's. Enter manipulation, STS influence, harvesting etc. Something came to my mind while reading Neo's post, don't we manipulate some animals to have better products for ourselves? We put sugar near bee hives, we give hormones, antibiotics, additives to chicken, cattles, fish etc. in order to make them grow faster, bigger, fatter - based on whatever our demands are from these animals.

So I feel we have to observe carefully, what effects us, what makes us give a reaciton to any action, what energy flow through us? And finally who gains what from this reaction/affection/energy?

As other posts already mentioned, awareness and knowledge seems the main key points in our 3D experience.

This post is not meant to refute or argue, merely summarize my views before exiting the thread:

* sex is physically impossible without a carnal impulse
* this carnal impulse is natural and necesssary for reproduction
* the carnal impulse is love expressed through the coarsest functions of being
* on top of this, deep love and spiritual unity can add a more refined class of energies
* the higher energies can be exchanged between partners, while the lower ones are expelled
* lizzies, thoughtforms, and astral entities feed upon unused expelled energy
* orgasm is the self-serving reward for fully expending physical sexual energy
* despite energy exchange, sex results in a net energy loss between partners
* it is better to engage in balanced, healthy, loving sex than to suppress the sex drive despite this loss
* but even better would be sublimation of the sex drive
* sublimation causes rechanneling of sexual energy towards higher rather than coarser expressions
* the more creative and spiritually focused you are, the lower your sex drive (though not necessarily the reverse)
* if practiced consistently and for long enough, the sex drive successfully sublimates
* then non-sexual love of higher caliber without energy loss becomes possible
* all that follows from a choice is natural in context of that choice
* a change of choice creates something new but still natural
* that physical sexual expression is natural is consequence of our choice to inhabit STS bodies
* when one gets tired of this and priorities shift, then sublimating the sex drive happens naturally
* a rise in soul frequency diminishes the amount of sexual energy converted into physical sex energy
* hermetically advanced couples, and those older couples in matured relationships, are not sex-addicts
* the benefits, necessity, and value of sex depends on what is most in harmony with your current state of being.
* your being is composed of dual parts; you can feed one part over the other, but one part dominates.

There is no doubt that orgasm releases energy, energy is never destroyed it only changes form. We exist because others release energy which we then utilize to sustain our lives. We feed off others energy and need to pass on our energy in turn or we become bloated sink holes in the cycle of life.

Wilhelm Reich wrote a book in the 1920's or 30's called "The Function of the Orgasm" which offers some interesting insight into this subject. Its been a while since I read the book but I'll try to be accurate.

Reich was a highly respected contemporary of Freud and won many acollades worldwide until he went against TPTB that promoted Hitler. Freud fell into line so his reputation survived, Reich was vilanized.

You can take all the physical compounds that humans are composed of and mix them together and all you will get is mud. Reich explained the existence of sentience and animation of inanimate matter through a life force he called orgones which is the energy that animates us. We exist in a sea of orgones and collect the energy within our bodies. We are sort of like a TV set or CRT monitor that build static charges as energy goes through them. We collect excess static orgones. An orgasm is like degaussing a monitor which makes the picture clearer until another charge builds up. Reich actually did rigorous laboratory energetic measurments to back up his theories.

Reich goes on to explain that from birth we are manipulated into being unable to achieve orgasm easily through the introduction of sexual morals by those who control society. Society restricts which behavior is acceptable and which isn't. Among many other damaging phenomena, pornography only takes us partly to orgasm but doesn't release all the excess energy. When we don't achieve orgasm excess orgones continue building up in our bodies and create confusion / frustration and indecision making us pliable to external mind manipulation.

In the book Reich documents many psychological case studies showing the destructive results. He and Freud communicated frequently on this subject. I think we can all likely testify how sexual frustration (excess orgones) can make us act without reason at times. The level of frustration within society today is scary to say the least.

Reich's reputation was destroyed to stop his ideas from becoming common knowledge. This is a book worth reading. The level of conditioning we are exposed to from birth keeps us from seeing the truth.

yes, reading 'the sexual revolution' by the same wilhelm "naughty-old-man" reich, i feel that the societal controls placed on us are doing far more damage right now than the excess of orgasms.

as the previous post implies, most of this pornography/jack-off orgasms aren't hardly a real orgasm on the energetic level, i feel.  i feel like i can blast into another human being when i have sex, and if i masturbate, it's just tantric practice of muscle control so i can enjoy a true orgasm even longer, harder, and more fully.

i suggest we follow some science on this topic and forget this clap-trap about lizzies and look at a real Man's Work on the topic.

after all, he did pursue this cause to his timely and contrived death in a US prison.  (and just to rub it in, the fbi burned all of his work big_smile )

I'm not going to get too much into this discussion. I just wanted to post some experiences I've had with orgasm.

I experiment with different forms of meditation, Tantra, Taoist Yoga, and relaxation.

After reading Reich I thought about using NLP anchors to anchor deep theta states I achieve using Yoga Nidra mostly. In such a state you basically bypass all your programming. So before sex or masturbation I would first go into a deep level of relaxation (you need an understanding partner smile ). When you are really relaxed, you focus more on the overall emotional feelings of sex and less on the carnal aspects; from my experience anyways. So then just before the point of orgasm you use your anchor and trigger an even deeper level. This type orgasm is very interesting. First of all, the orgasm is no longer focused on the genitals. You feel it all over your skin and sometimes every individual hair. And the release feels like a "full" release. Afterwards, I usually feel warm kind of ecstacy instead of that minor feeling of guilt, shame, or regret that many people get.

I find after such an orgasm, I don't feel the sexual urge for weeks to months at a time.

Just my two cents. heh.
