what was the connection between the resultant condition of the viruses being created and the man (V?) rising from the ashes of the flames and yelling . . . I mean why did he live??

I think that the man in flames was V.  My take is that in a literal sense, his body reacted differently to the virus than the other people.  The other people died, but V's senses and ability to move quickly were both enhanced.

I think also that the inference was that V created bombs from day-to-day chemicals and he was the one who exploded the experimentation center and he got burned in the process.

From a metaphorical perspective, I think that V overcame all the physical, emotional, and spiritual trials and was thereby transformed.  Because his skin was burned he focused more on his own internal nature and less on appearances.

However, he was flawed and corrupted and he knew it.  Although he had a sublime understanding of deeper meanings, his own life was consumed by vengance - but at the same time he had great hopes for other people and was aware enough at the end to realize that each person needs to make their own choices.  Therefore, he let Evey decide whether to send the train bomb into Parliament - but one could also say that he conditioned her (or de-conditioned her) to make the choices and live the life that he wanted her to live.

It's out in some select theaters I believe. One of our theaters are carrying it as some kinda of "special presentation".  I actually don't think it's playing in our one and only silver city.

My mom is going to see it tonight actually, I'll get some details and post a mini review.

Re: movies

For the first time, Hollywood movie studios are selling downloadable films that consumers can keep on their computers and watch anytime ...  through the studio-supported sites Movielink.com and CinemaNow.com ...

Starting yesterday, six studios -- MGM, Paramount, Sony, Fox, Universal and Warner Bros. -- began selling films via Movielink on the same day their DVDs were available at retail hubs [...] for roughly $20 to $30. [...]

Digital Rights Management (DRM) software in the Movielink downloads will keep them from working on video iPods or other portable players. Owners can burn one copy of each film onto a DVD, but for now they will play only on a computer, not in a regular DVD player. Films will play on only up to three PCs.

The downloads also will not include the popular commentaries, deleted scenes and other extras included in DVD releases. It takes about an hour to download each film.

Hehe.  Let's see ... I can pay MORE for the privilege of downloading a movie file versus getting an actual physical DVD.   As an added incentive, the file itself is heavily encumbered by Digital Restriction software so I can only watch it on my computer, not on my TV, and I can't copy it.  Plus none of the extra content is included.  Yeah, that sounds really appealing.  And just when we all FINALLY got done switching from VHS to DVD.    How ironic.

It's another sucker game, just like iTunes.   To the music industry I say:  Sorry guys, but I already paid for most of these songs twenty years ago on cassette tapes.  Then they wore out and I paid AGAIN for the CDs, half of which stopped working sooner or later because they scratch if you even LOOK at them.   So now we can pay again, a buck a song, for a lousy DOWNLOAD of another DRM-encumbered file?  I don't think so.

And in related news, the upcoming home video game systems from Nintendo and Sony will be offering downloads of classic games from the 80s and 90s.   For a price, of course.    It's funny, too, because back at my mom's house I've got dozens of old NES games sitting in a closet somewhere that DON'T WORK ANYMORE because the circuit boards in both the cartridges and the consoles rotted after so many years.   And who can recall just how many games and systems got thrown out for that reason?     I wonder if Sony and Nintendo will accept trade-ins of all the old non-working cartridges in exchange for the new versions?   Ha!

I say if you've paid for an intellectual work once, you have an ethical RIGHT to it in ANY form you deem necessary.  And all the "licenses" and "agreements" that the big corporations try to attach are IRRELEVANT -- it's a BIG CON -- "let's see how much we can get away with, just how much we can bleed these suckers for.  And how far we can go without them saying a word about it."  Well I'm tired of it!    And I'm going to continue to download my media from BitTorrent and other sources and not let them trick me into feeling guilty about it, as if I'm doing something wrong. THEY are the thieves, THEY are the pirates, THEY are the manipulators.  Not us.  Not you and me.   And if a few musicians don't get paid their cut as a result, well it's not my fault they chose to do business with the mafia labels.  I'm not going to pay organized crime A BUCK A SONG just so the artist can get their $0.01 cut.  Sorry, folks.   I say the game is up.  I'll happily pay a fair amount for an unrestricted MP3 if the money actually goes to the artist -- like the service from eMusic.com.  But that's it.   And otherwise I encourage all free-thinking people to stop falling victim to these tactics.   Save your money, don't give it to these people who will only invest it in bigger and better chains to put around your neck.

Trivia:  In the Nicholas Cage film City of Angels, at the very beginning of the movie we see a helicopter's view of Los Angeles.  The angels are standing on the roof of a building which is clearly marked with the number 444.

This is a new movie coming out:

I was watching Attack of the Show with a friend, and when they introduced this movie, along with the image, the caption was "Snakes on a whole other plane" (I'm paraphrasing from memory). I thought that was interesting and possibly significant in some way...

Re: movies

The following is from David Wilcock's free online book "The Shift of the Ages":

"Both ourselves and our society must again embrace the Universal Feminine in love, thus giving us unity, as the ancient number 1746 represents. Our numerous creative works prepare us for this 'fusion' event on the subconscious level. In the 1998 movie Pleasantville, a world of black-and-white turns to color as people learn to leave behind their outmoded, 1950's-style beliefs and achieve true personal, emotional and intellectual freedom. In The Truman Show, a man symbolizing the collective mind of humanity comes to the stunning realization that the entire world around him is constructed as a giant illusion, where he is the star that millions of people in the outside world watch on their television screens.

In Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the lead character is driven by an arresting series of visions to finally board a gigantic extraterrestrial spacecraft, forever leaving behind his Earth life for the promise of something far greater. In the JRR Tolkien Lord of the Rings series, the entire world is preparing to undergo an incredible, multidimensional shift never before known in history. In 2001, a Monolith is found that seems to alert an extraterrestrial presence of our own "coming of age." Guided by this force, spaceship commander David Bowman eventually enters into a vortex of spiraling light that first ages him and then returns him to a fetal state, indicating new life in a mysterious higher realm. In 2010, the metaphor expands even more: Bowman returns as a multi-dimensional entity, telling us of an imminent, unbelievable transformation. "What is going to happen?" they ask him. "Something wonderful," he whispers, shaking his head gently from side to side with reverent, loving awe. Jupiter eventually explodes and becomes a star, creating an entire new solar system for us to use within our own. On every television screen on Earth, the spiritual forces write, "All these worlds are yours… Use them together… Use them in peace."

In James Cameron's movie The Abyss, a fantastic and unspeakably beautiful extraterrestrial world is found in our own oceans, and after we achieve contact with it, it rises to the surface of the sea of our consciousness. In Ghost, our lead character is a spiritual being that says goodbye to the pottery-throwing woman symbolizing Mother Earth to enter into a vortex of pure light. In Cocoon, the old folks go off with the luminous extraterrestrials to a place where they "won't get sick, won't get any older and won't ever die." In E.T., a fallen alien being, representing ourselves, finally gets to return home after nearly dying from living on Earth with "the children."

In the Star Wars trilogy, Darth Vader, as the symbol of the crushing weight of male-driven corporate America, is overthrown by the heroic power of love, and we realize that he is our own father, our own family, and he is welcomed back, newly transformed. In Titanic, as the ship representing our modern world sinks, throngs of people surround a minister who boldly and solemnly reads the scripture, saying, "And there will be a new heaven, and a new earth…And there shall be no more death, for we will have everlasting life… " People go to bed and peacefully prepare for what is going to come. Then, people from "the future" come with exotic space-age undersea equipment to try to reconstruct the past events that had happened there, and these people include one of the original participants.

In Contact, we achieve communication with an extraterrestrial race, and this leads us to build a machine that enables us to journey to their own level. It is an exhilarating journey of light, sound and color, rocketing through unspeakably vast wormholes to a realm of pure, luminescent peace and beauty, where the angelic entities present themselves as members of our own family. In Mission to Mars, the beings responsible for building the "Face" reveal to us that "They are us: we are them," and one of the best "Ascension" finales on film occurs in the last two minutes. And in The Matrix, lead character Neo finally believes in himself enough that he gains complete control over the illusion of the physical world itself, defeating the negative forces that were trying to destroy him and acquiring Christlike abilities. Time after time, as we see these beautiful movies, tears stream down our faces as a part of us, somehow, some way, knows and believes that something as fantastic as this is going to happen to us in our own lifetimes. But it seems to be so far away, so far away, beyond our grasp or comprehension.

The ultimate conclusion of this book is that the event commonly known as "The Shift of the Ages" or "Ascension" is indeed going to occur, and it is indeed unspeakably fantastic. The chances are that we will never truly understand exactly what this means or how we will personally experience it until we are actually going through it. The truth of its imminent arrival is practically exploding out at us from all directions, both positively and negatively. "

Thanks for that, fun read.  smile

Yea movies are so symbolic, maybe thats the one reason we are drawn to them is because consciously or subconsciously they are telling/reminded us of this whole game we are playing.  And I am talking about the good movies, not American Pie wink

Re: movies

I'm just watching The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe and I'm wondering:  does it seem odd to anyone else that a lot of the blockbuster movies coming out of Hollywood lately feature British protagonists?   The Harry Potter series and V For Vendetta come to mind.

It just seems a bit odd to me.   Based on other things I know I am wondering if this is another sign of the New Order manifesting.   A couple of years ago Alex Jones had the video up of the American police training class where they were being taught how the Founding Fathers were the "first terrorists."     Then in V For Vendetta there was the mention by the British government leader of wanting to "pay back the colonies for a little Tea Party they threw us a couple of hundred years ago."  And I've heard from two different but very good sources that there is in fact a British overthrow of America which has been going on for quite awhile behind the veil of the secret societies.

I suggest this is something very important to be aware of and pay attention to.

Re: movies

I think that if an Illuminati organization exists, and I'm referring here to the negative variety, then the global headquarters is likely in London.

I think that the US and the US economy are being engineered for a big fall - not that this will be all bad - but we can expect turbulent times.  Also since the US economy is the largest in the world and linked all over the world - changes here in the US will likely be felt in many places.

At the same time, England and the UK have been creators of culture in a big way for a long time - in some ways perhaps the effect is greater than one might imagine from just looking at the number of people who live there.  I'm thinking of books and music but I'm sure it goes beyond that - for example the English language as well.

I have noticed this too.  To be honest though, out of most recorded historical cultures the British have perhaps had the greatest impact on the rest of the globe.  With maybe the Romans coming first / second.

Many people scorn Americans...but the truth is a vast amout of Americans are Europeans (or else peoples dispositioned in some way by Europeans).  America is still a new country really, a few hundred years is nothing in the scheme of things.  Over the last 600 years Britain, France and to some extent Holland had a massive involvement over what transpired in Europe.  And it is that cultural evolution from which the Americans largely (though not entirely) came about.

When I say this – it’s not meant in an insulting manner – but America has very little of which it could truly call its own; everything from the land, to the language, to its belief systems have been taken from other countries / peoples.  And when you start looking into what lies underneath all this you can begin to see even now that the US is really not its own country.  Although it tries to remain autonomous, it is almost entirely balanced upon what occurs in the rest of the world.

Most people see it the other way around – i.e. America leads the world.  Personally I think the decisions and actions the US undertakes are led first and foremost by what occurs outside of the US borders.  It’s a strange dance to watch…which gets only stranger when you look at the history of relationships in how the United States came about.

Another point that always interests me is this: if you look at the last two thousand years of history, almost every major turmoil from great wars to genocides has been caused by the "white man"  – in specific Europeans.  Many of the American people are decedents of Europeans, especially those Americans that run the US, and this shows in their actions.  I wonder if perhaps there is something genetically encoded into us which gives a disposition of violence (almost insanity when you really look at it).

I don’t think it is so much an emergence of a New Order as much as it is a re-emergence of an Old Order.  The British and European aristocracy can be traced back as far as Sumeria.  As many people here no doubt know, there are theories that suggest the formation of the US was just a stepping stone.

Anyway – I guess all this doesn’t really mean anything other than to confirm that the US isn’t the center of the world.  Perhaps like around the beginning of the 1900’s we will soon witness a restructuring of world powers.  Just as the British let go of their empire perhaps the Americans will have to do the same, and end up largely isolationists – much like the British are today.  I imagine it would be pretty odd living in a country as it goes through such a change.  But there are signs it is happening, and not just in the movies.  With Britain being a small country things went fairly smoothly I guess.  I wonder how it would effect a country as large as the US.

Well after all that – I certainly thought it was odd watching a major movie release that was set in the UK.  One thing that made me laugh a few times was how the movie implied the UK and Britain were so great, but then stated "England will prevail".  Damn English still ignore the rest of the UK… big_smile

Don't worry, it's not insulting, because it's completely true.  People can't argue it.  America is this melting pot of cultures, and its identity lies in the people who have come in from around the world and settled here.   There is so few cultural things that America can claim as being uniquely "American" that one could probably tick them off using less than their 10 fingers!  big_smile   Let's see........football.  Um....um....baseball maybe?   ??   Several musical styles including Country, Rockabilly, Blues and Ragtime.  What about Jazz?  What are we up to now....six things.  Alright, um......uh.....well, I can't think of anything else.

What's funny is even good ol' fashion "all American" fiddle and banjo country/pioneer people music has its root in Irish folk music.  It was the Irish settlers in the south and middle America who created it, and it evolved over time to have its own slightly unique sound, but, it's still Irish-influenced.  Interesting!

AMERICA HAS NO IDENTITY!!!!!!!!   AMERICA IS AN OP!!!!!

haha couldn't resist.  wink

There's a really good, much-related point from the David Icke material:   That America never actually "won" the Revolutionary War, and that the power making decisions continued to be based out of England, even if we were given the illusion of "freedom."   The only thing that changed was overt control into covert control.   The American colonists settled down, and England continued to actually be the one in control, even if it didn't seem like it on the surface.

On a superfluous side note, as many here probably already realize, the most influential bands in rock and roll to emerge in the 60s and 70s were all from England.   "The Tavistock Institute" comes up time and again as being this British entity that churned out drug fueled mind-control rock n roll that re-shaped the way society was going.   The Beatles, the Stones, the Who, and just WAY too many to even count.

It's all about England and the UK.   It always has been.  wink
