I saw "Chicken Little" and liked the movie. I think that this movie falls within a possible "alien disclosure" program and like other movies in this genre, it has both positive and negative aspects.
First, I think that continuing to get the idea of other intelligent non-human life (besides known species like whales, dolphins, primates, dogs, cats, etc) out in the public awareness is a good step.
Possible Spoilers:
In the movie, the aliens were shown as having various types of advanced technology including anti-gravity, cloaking devices, and the ability to dematerialize and rematerialize lifeforms.
The aliens were shown to be "cute as can be". They were little triangular furballs. They also have three eyes.
When a little alien furball child gets left behind on earth, the alien military is called in on a rescue mission. Before the earth is destroyed by the aliens using their highly advanced technology, the alien child is reunited with its parents and the day is saved.
Before the alien invasion/rescue mission is full-blown, nobody believes Chicken Little and his friends when they describe various anomalous phenonmena and claim that "the sky is falling."
Possible negative results from this movie are that since the aliens are shown to be so cute, this may lead people to think that aliens tend to always be friendly.
Another plot point is that an alien family regularly visits the earth in order to "pick acorns". In their spaceship, there are various bottles showing organs of various types.
Chicken Little has done well at the box office - selling over $80 million in tickets in the first week and a half of release.
