I'm posting an old Rense article for those who might not go to that site. dealing with Michael Moore. It doesn't have anything to do with his CNN performance but it does raise an interesting issue on how he might be diverting attention from the real culprit.

Also, Jezreel I'm posting a link for you regarding Al Gore's Agenda:

http://www.counterpunch.org/cockburn05122007.html

CAFR1 NATIONAL RELEASE - 07/03/07

To: Michael Moore
Date: July 3rd 2007
email: mmflint@[SNIP].com

Michael:

From your letter: "An Awesome First Night for "Sicko" Saturday, June 30th, 2007" you say:

"Needless to say, they showed little interest in investigating who's behind this. That's ok. I realize what's at stake for them and I accept that this is a battle with serious consequences. The drug and insurance companies have dumped over a half billion dollars in the pockets of Congress and the White House in the last 10 years. This movie may end up being their worst nightmare."

Well, Michael, a half a billion dollars is pocket change compared to what federal and local governments made from the return on their investments from the same drug (pharmaceutical) companies. Government stock ownership of those companies, in composite totals equates to 60% - 75% ownership depending on what drug company you look at.

You have left behind and out of your documentary the clear and overpowering "motive" behind the acts coming from government. That being: They use tax revenue (taken from the public) to funnel billions and tens of billions of dollars into those drug companies "each year" and thus inflate their own return from investment ownership of those same companies without one ($1) ever going back directly to benefit those same taxpayers.. In fact government's investment policy and the way government funnels tax revenue into the hands of those companies severely drains the pockets of those same tax payers.

We are not talking an investment return of a "half a billion dollars", but a return equal to within those ten years of well over a trillion or two dollars.

Government's main profit centers in the last five years by investment are in order of return accomplished; the oil companies, then pharmaceutical, then banking, and insurance. A good showing of holdings from just one government investment account out of thousands would be the holdings listed as of 2001 within and from the NY State Retirement fund CAFR. http://cafr1.com/STATES/NEWYORK/RETIREM … NV2001.PDF

I suggest that you look at what holdings roll out the money for our government. No grey area here, only fact. Returns of 100% to 500%. Then take a look at where the same ended in 2006. http://cafr1.com/STATES/NEWYORK/RETIREM … NV2006.PDF

Here is your primary motive and the underlying REALITY of governmental policy for the last twenty years, they (government) profit from pushing drugs, they profit from higher oil prices, and they profit when banks and insurance companies roll over the money. Profit by a few extra trillions of dollars when you connect the dots and look at the assembled pieces of the puzzle. Oh, but then that's "Our Government at Work", aren't you proud?

A few hundred thousand people will see this communication.
.
You should not have any questions now on why government limits the cost liability to insurance companies and continues to dump massive taxpayer money down the throats of the pharmaceutical companies / health care industry at exorbitant and inflated costs when the taxpayer is paying for it through program entitlements; they are protecting and expanding their (government's) own bottom line investmet profits at taxpayer expense.

The upper echelon government boys and their minions love to entertain the public by keeping them looking in right field at fluff or non-consequential drama as they conduct business as usual in left where the massive money rolls within a created and maintained wall of silence.

You now know the big factor that drives government policy, and Michael, if you exclude this overpowering FACT in the future, I and we all will know who you truly work for.

Sincerely,

Walter J. Burien, Jr.
P. O. Box 2112
Saint Johns, AZ 85936

Web: http://cafr1.com/

Tel: 928-445-3532

PS: Have a great 4th of July!

Moore is merely a tool. The timing of a film attacking the health care system with over riding tones of national health is another rung of the ladder for Hillary to ascend to the White House. She was the last crusader for a national health program here and by next year when the film has been seen by upwards of 100+ million Americans she'll be the 'go to girl' to save us from big bad Pharma and the HMOS. When Harvey Weinstein of Miramax puts up the cash you can bet the farm it's agendized. So they continue to shore up the need for a 60% + out of the electorate., to give the impression that all is well now that we have competent leaders who are looking out for us. A Hillary/Obama ticket assures them the core of the women's vote and the core of blacks and now anyone who feels they aren't getting value out of this system. They'll come in around 63%. Landslide....we're saved!

When Moore makes a film about:
 Chemtrails
 Depleted Uranium
Dyncorp and the world slave market
 Bechtel and Halliburtons encampment facilites
...................................................................................I'll go see it!

It did appear that the whole interview was a set up, like the George Galloway stunt. CNN just don't give 10 minutes air time to anyone, unless they are part of the game. What Moore appears to be saying does sound attractive on the surface, but more taxpayers money spent on health care equals more money for the drug companies to skim off. The life expectancy in the US is bordering on third world levels, 38th ranked in the world whilst spending the highest per capita by a long way, pumping more money in to the system which is what he is basically saying is not the answer.

He kind of gave the game away when asked who he supported in the Democrats; Al Gore

Just watched this clip....definitely very funny, had us laughing. I'm not taking sides, like either pro-Michael Moore or anti, but it was fun to watch him going off on CNN. Whether it was real and he actually had emotion behind his words or if it was staged and he was amping himself up and pretending to be all in tizzy for attention, I don't know, but it was amusing, that's for sure. The guy at the very end though, as the clip cuts out...annoying snarky pod guy all the way, whoever that was.

Michael Moore never did address the point that Wolf made though about why he hasn't been on the show in 3 years. Michael was kind of making it seem as if he hadn't been invited, like he's sort of the outcast that they don't want to risk having on their show, while Wolf pointed out that they've invited him on numerous times and he's declined every time...until now. (coincidentally when MM's promoting his new movie.) Notice MM goes silent and then deflects attention off of that by harumphing about what they would have been talking to him about had they had him on, what, would they have apologized to him for what they said about Fahrenheit 9/11 and all the rest? No, of course not. Harumph!

But that's not the point. The point wasn't what they would or wouldn't have been talking about. The point was whether they would have had him on the show, period, and the fact that they did invite him, but he declined, and is now skewing things by making it seem as if he hasn't been invited.

I hate when people can't just admit that they've been busted skewing something and admit to it, and be all "My bad! I'm wrong! You're right! You did invite me on and I did decline! Whoops!" and instead get backed into a corner and then hem and haw and harumph and change the subject and deflect. It's embarrassing to watch.

But other than that, it was damn funny. He came across as a bit unhinged, but again, how real was it, I don't know. My guess is that it was an attention seeking performance more than anything, born out of MM no longer having to worry about $$$ (if you've read the stories about this, he arranged to pocket something like 50%? of the profits from "Sicko," and as a result has made a BOAT LOAD of money. He'll never have to worry about where his financing is coming from again, and is free to say whatever he wants to whomever he wants wherever he wants, because he's a multi-gagillionaire and no longer answers to anybody. He knows his movies WILL get made now, his way, and because he's established himself his audience is guaranteed.

I've lost a lot of respect for Michael Moore this last few years, particularly since Fahrenheit 911 which completely failed 9/11 truthseekers the world over; however, I did enjoy his latest film Sicko.
