Power Plants can be an interesting excursion but also they can do untold damage to the body and subtle bodies. Ganja is one that can lead to high counterproductivity and dependence very quickly.
All power plant substances open your field to hyperdimensional forces. The paranoid feeling that often comes with ganja is caused by other things, beings, entities so to speak; getting into your field. The biggest problem with Ganja is that is lingers in the body and begins to alter one's consciousness and being with sustained use, almost in a symbiotic way. The last time I dabbled with the herb I noticed in no uncertain terms that the effects lasted for days, which is something I think regular users do not realize.
I have been in contact with many people that were supposedly engaging power plant substances with spiritual intent, but the results and the real intent is often not in alignment with what was professed.
I have not seen evidence that many of these voyagers have gained any spiritual awareness whatever from their forays.
Instead I see what Leary referred to as something like hedonic masturbation and fixation at a certain point on the path to the exclusion of all else.
I think it depends heavily on one's multidimensional makeup.
I am suprised that some people get off as easily as they do experimenting with tryptamines such as mushrooms. All of these things can be quite brutal and things can turn that way very quick indeed. Sometimes the visitors that show up can be difficult to get rid of.

It is true our body has receptors for cannabinoids. However THC isnt the only one which can "plug in" to those receptors. Others have been found which do occur naturally in the body. If desired I can find a link for this later.

But the real reason I'm posting is because of something above and on the last page too:

pokerboy wrote:

Our bodies don't produce alot of things that are useful to life....namely:

Oxygen and Glucose

How true. And Vitamin C and plenty of others. So I wouldn't say just because our body doesnt produce something would qualify it as a poison and/or drug.

On the other hand, I would also not say just because we have receptors for something is good reason to use it.

I have plenty of experience with pot in my lifetime, believe that. Over 15 years of steady use. And although I've stopped using it in the last few years, I have not had any ill effects other than the typical "pothead" effects. It is not a hard drug and if you want to call it that, by the same token Oregano is a drug and a hard one at that. They both can make you feel good, just in different ways.

My point being I'm neither against pot nor for the abuse of it. All good things in moderation. Use your head or lose your head.

Also I would not say just because one got "infested" with neggies while on a substance, qualifies as a reason to blame it on the substance. Could it have been your weakness that opened you to the attack? I would say its a distinct possibility. If you're healthy and strong, no weak drug like THC is going to be the cause of your downfall. I'm tired of hearing people say "oh its the pot that made me lazy, its the pot that made me a bum". Nope. Take credit for your own good works, my man.

Hey Auendove,

Thanks for the link and the welcome.....not sure whether this is a tourist trip right now or more of an extended stay but it is nice to be back - whilst I have not posted for a long time (for reasons we discussed) I have always been a lurker here.

Will be moving to your side of the world next wednesday - will officially be a New Yorker as of next week :-)

On the subject matter - as you may recall, I know DMT rather intimately....so it was just in response to your "the body does not produce a, b and c etc" - my point was only that be it mushrooms or ayahuasca and so on (classed as drugs) that they contain DMT in a natural manner and so does the human body so maybe there was an exception to the rule.

And then again - there are the Cannaboid receptors in the brain - kind of a lock with the key being the cannabis. Strikes me there is not much point in creating a lock if you are not going to have a key to fit the lock.

I am neither for or against drugs however if one can get to grips with negative thought forms that come when stoned, then it is a piece of cake dealing with those that come when one is not stoned.

***On a seperate note***Have just signed the lease on new office in NYC - 111 Broadway, and one block in front of ground zero - the heart of the abyss :-)

WR

JT

I was just thinking the other day about the difference between spiritual revelations on drugs as opposed to such experiences while sober. When I think about the things that blew my mind on drugs, there is a theme of unreality. What I had taken to be real would appear unreal, or would appear to be masking a completely different reality. When I think about the things that blew my mind while sober, there is a theme of reality. What I had ignored or taken for granted become more real, more awe-inspiring, and more important. On drugs I might think, "My god--this world may be a simulation and I may be a completely different kind of creature than the one I appear to be." Off of drugs I might think "My god--this is real.

I have only ever tried mush's, mary, lucy, and salvia. It seems to me these substances can indeed open you up to the reality/unreality of your mind/the mind and present an opportunity to see the illusion and make choices. Given that one may not be entirely in control of their experience even when not on these substances, one is open to manipulation in areas that may before have been "untampered with". Kinda like,"Well, the door is open now. Who's going to walk in? You or someone/something else?" I tend to believe a subtance is neutral, speaking for only the one's I've tried, until one has associated what they experience with the substance itself in their own mind. When one has a weakness to begin with, being opened to the realm of possibilities in the manner of substances can go either way. As in which way is one leaning to begin with. It's the same choice whether one is "on" these substances or not. Anything can be used as a facilitator for self-destructive tendencies.
Just my experience/viewpoint.
