XP could not multi-task its way out of a paper bag

Lets all rejoice about the silly shield update icon that is no doubt designed to install more and more
backdoors and spyware into thecore of the OS, or should I call an NOS [non-operating system]

What if instead of shutting down, windows just shut up?

Hmm, some services just seemed to have turned themselves off....

Being a computer expert, I can tell you that XP works reliably if you do an oil change every three months.

Hey Starcat!!
I just had the atrocious experience of downloding Explorer 7...DON'T DO IT!!
It has these "tabs" that are annoying and everything is geared towards Yahoo and it is so user unfriendly that I couldn't find anything as all was in a different place...like edit, copy and paste are all in places that using this browser is like going on a scavanger hunt. Terrible. I uninstalled it and so far have had no problems...except my security was so tightly set that I couldn't hear music or watch videos.
I would advise anyone to stay with the simple stuff...

XP does not , cannot and will not ever handle multi-tasking properly.

That is not true!
I have being playing with computers since 1984...
All modern operational systems do multi tasking very well as long you
have the right hardware running the operational system in the right way...

I created my in the C:\Documents and Settings\Pictus\My Documents\System Report\

Now we have a problem, the report is very big!
Here it was +- 56 mega yikes
But using this amazing free compressor 7-zip the report was shrinked to just 422kb !!

I'm no computer expert, but I think it has something to do with delaying advancement.

We went to the moon with the equivalent of a C64 (or so i'm told)

Now we can't get office to work correctly without half a gig 'o' ram.
