Topic: New to the boards, plus I want to tell you about this dream I had.

What's up? I'm Gman and I'm trying to get enlightened. I had a strange experience back in the fall of 1998. It was in the form of a dream. Back in the fall of '98 1 month after moving
into a new house I had this strange dream that I'm still try to figure
out. I was walking around in an empty white landscape, it was snowing and,
it seemed to be night. When I come to a set of stairs(which looked nice
and safe), then I notice a second set(they looked dark and creepy). For
some reason I go up the dark set of stairs and, I come to this door. I
open the door and this blinding light envelopes everything and, I
seemingly wake up(like I had woken up in the middle of surgery,I felt
groggy, with slightly blurred vision) with 3 dudes in suits around me(I
see this through my eyes) saying something like "The drug didn't work!"
and they say this to each other and other stuff that I couldn't make out.
Before I know it I wake up in my room. It was a really strange event in my
life and it has stayed with me for a long time. Any thoughts on this? Was it just a wacky dream?

That's a little creepy. If it wasn't a dream, then you were probably snoozing through a military abduction until you abruptly came to. Even more so if you had after-effects like body marks, extreme alertness or soreness or wooziness after awakening. Any other suspicious experiences since? If so, you might find Lyra's book Chasing Phantoms interesting since it discusses some common precursors, indicators, and aftereffects of that kind of activity. It's made some people remember or realize some strange things about their lives that they formerly did not.

Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.

THanks for the info. It was so long ago that I can't tell if I had those effects. I was thinking of going under hypnosis.

You're in a cold, dark, barren landscape.

This leads to light, an awakening, and then an encounter with forces who wish for you to remain asleep.



The world is a cold, dark place devoid of life.
There are two paths before man.
The path of transient pleasure and the path of sacrafice and tribulation.
It is the unpleasant path that leads to enlightenment.
Spiritual progress may lead to glimpses of light but these are always followed by periods of darkness.
