Interview with an Archon

Dialogue between a confused budding magician and an unnamed "archon"

They speak in turn, separated by empty lines, magician going first.

This is not class "A" stuff, in any sense.

Ask me again and your soul I'll berate!

[m] No such thing! I do command
By Will, and Force, and sleight-of-hand.

[a] -Silly charl! thou hast no Will,
Your Magick serves to do thee ill!

[m] Thou liest! yet, thou liest not
The fire of aud burns deadly hot
My Will to Nil of One I set,
A ring against your fetid breath!

[a] -Idiot! I am no Howler,
I am a shining silver tower
Thou shalt not scale me sans the ladder
Wrought about with viral adder,
Dancing nymph, Primal matter!
Evil Scythe and Siva's batter!

[m] High and Low thy saber strikes,
From low to high, all pointed pikes. To
The Moon by Shabbatai? Ah me!
I would that I could claim I.N.R.I.

[a] -None shall pass! Thou art divided,
Devil by devil always chided
Part and parcel of None and Two,
Yet all of them are all of you
Filthy boy! Out of the circle,
Sumptuous Scarlet and Passion Purple
Are not of you!

[m] When shall they be?
..Wilt thou at least prophesy?

[a] -V.I.T.R.I.O.L. I bid thee drink,
Then take the cross up on the hill,
Take nail and peirce thy flesh of pink,
I swear that thou will have no ill!

[m] You decieve! you'd have me taken
By drink, drug, madness, mutilation,
Devil's Rod! I bid thee go.. I Pray
Unto Jesus God!

[a] (sighs) - Emasculation's not the answer
When physical is not the Cancer
That hinders thee, o Silly Sod,
In walking up this Path you tread
Wake up! Wake up before you're dead!

[m] I will return, upon reflection.
Somthing in your later diction
Makes me think: "In some of this
Must be something less amiss
Then first descried." I shall endeavour
To penetrate this symbol cypher
And appreciate your mysteries
As lovers all.

[a] -- Oh, please.
I am but one Step on the Path
You Work, yet Courage! I say,
The road is long, you cannot stay!
Go on, go on, be On your Way!

The concept is that of the dabbler with a head full of contradictory theories, baffling when confronted with cognate symbols.

The "archon" is the concepts tied to the XXIst triumph of the tarot and sephira number 9 on the tree of life. (32nd path and yesod)

The confused seeker treats it first as a manichean-gnostic archon, then realizes that the gatekeeper is also the temporary guide.
