Topic: About mainsteam Christianity - its true pitfalls (imo)
After being encouraged by a friend, posted below are some personal thoughts in an open reply:

Yea I know a reasonable amount anyways, about how one could give 'access' to themselves without even knowing it. Good insight though. I try to keep myself protected, and am doing the light-color visualizations that silverfox posted about, a few weeks ago. I'm learning to keep my energy in. sometimes i say to ppl, in my head, "no, you can't have my energy. i ask though that you would received energy from the Divine source."
It's difficult to keep yourself protected whilst coming from a mainstream Christian background, which -- while it teaches about spirtual warfare etc -- encourages give oneself up to Jesus... ie the so-often said prayer "God take control of my life." The problem is, does one in that position really know God? Do they know that they ARE a spark of the Divine? I would suggest they do not, otherwise they would not be feeling SOOO helpless (which most Christians do. Sorry, I come from that background. I know how twisted it can get. No disrespect.)
The problem is, when one says "God, take control of my life / body / actions," one is REALLY not congicantly aware of all the stuff in the realms that one is opening themselves up to. ESPECIALLY when most churches are full of unnecessary religious and even luciferian / freemason DOGMA which can really mess stuff up. One can easily get cluttered etherically, in this fashion.
One time, in June of 2004, I was at a "holy spirit revival" deal put on the the local "fire in the belly" evangelist. (This evangelist, of huge reputation with the kids, is open in his book with his declaration that he had a near death experience -- from which he emerged a "new" person, "on fire for God". Hmm.) Anyways, there was some really weird stuff going on for those 4 days, people rolling on the ground and roaring and the 'guest speakers' getting in your head psychically and people wobbing/flailing around on stage, I was skeptical but I really wanted change in my life, so I allowed my spirit to be submissive to, and 'accept' most of what was going on.
I got the guy's book, when he said, "who wants this book? first one up here gets it!" so I was closeby and got it. I read the book. A week later I had a uber-realistic dream experience, where I was dreaming that I was sleeping, lying on my stomach, and a female NEGative spirit was hovering above me. She/it tried to get access via my left ear/neck, then bit me in the ass, literally. Wouldn't you know it! -- since then that's been a trouble area for me physically. I'm still a fairly young man and that area was never a problem EVER, before. I am still requiring healing in this area and am working on it. (Sitting for 10 hours a day doesn't help.)
So - people have to be aware, in my opinion, of what they are getting into when they are involved in bs like this, and frankly in most churches. What Jesus originally spoke, pretty much ALL of it has either been a) twisted in the texts, or b) completely ignored by his "church". What a shame.
"Even the very elect shall be deceived."
Don't give yourself up and choose to be a weaking, and think it 'godly' or something. Please trust me, I've fully been on that road. If you choose to do so by your free will, you will make yourself 'open' and vulnerable to entities which you could not at this stage in your evolution even imagine, and oftentimes be depressed (most irresponsible Christians these days are manic depressive at times), and wonder why God is ignoring you. He/It is not, you are ignoring your responsibility. The church is not what it purports to be.
