Topic: Emotions - A strength or weakness ?

I was thinking, back then well about a year ago when I was like... 13.

Anyways, I saw a lot of bickering among teenagers happening more and more often. There's this group that's always judging others and trying to act 'manly' - They don't really get a long, instead they like to spit at other social groupings. They said showing emotions show a sign of weakness. These guys were considered sharped and infamous for really pinching someone's emotions.

I even considered them as people to look among to, obviously now.. Definitely not.

Emotions... Showing a sign of weakness?

Somehow the seeded genes of ours really gave us to express emotions more than the Lizards and even most of our space brothers and sisters. Infact, Greys told us we are the only beings that smile to express emotions in the universe.

This really, really, deeply show us that we can really teach something to the stars here. Our emotions show strength, it gives us the energy towards our goal. Of course, Reptilians love it.

But if we harness it, it won't be so pleasant anymore for those Stargods.

Focusing on mankind, how will our emotions really do show signs of weakness to each other ?

Some measly argument can be conquered using emotions? Will it?

Is it more of weakness or strength !?

Re: Emotions - A strength or weakness ?

To quote a great mentor:

Jack Handy wrote:

β€œIt takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.”

In seriousness though, I don't think this can be adequately answered. So many cultures have the machismo, man should not show emotion mentality not only that but they also deal by indirect communication.

For me it comes down to where is the control? Are the emotions in control or and I? harnessed the emotions are powerful...e(nergy in)motion within you. They bookmark a lot of events in your memories, they can provide clarity,  energize intentions and requests and enhance or remove pessimism or optimism.

So the much used "it depends" comes into play because ultimately "it depends" on the individual.

Re: Emotions - A strength or weakness ?

According to Jung, emotion is the alchemical fire; that which sparks all change.

"There cannot be progress without expression. There cannot be expression without separation. There cannot be separation without progress."-Ouroboros

Re: Emotions - A strength or weakness ?

I agree with Jung completely on that one.

John 10:34

Jesus answered, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, you are gods'?

Re: Emotions - A strength or weakness ?

Emotion is a double-edged sword and as Jung says about the alchemical fire, "fire is a source of light, but it can also burn."

Then again, a double-edged sword is merely one sword, is it not?
