Hi morningsun76, I'm somewhat familiar with the MAP (medical assisted program) material and method - never done it myself but know how it's done and have heard numerous annecdotes of people who have done the sessions. It gives me an uneasy feeling for the following reasons:
- much more ritual-intensive than reiki
- requires giving permission to external entities to work on you
- health benefits are no proof of positive intentions by entities (voluntary soul enslavement is worth more at that level - fixing health problems is nothing....grays do that for people all the time)
Funny, I just read through the reviews at amazon and found someone saying essentially the same thing:

This method of healing works but there are better ways IMHO.
I didn't care for this book for the following reasons.
1. Too ritualistic
a. open a coning of power.
b. invokation of the healing deva.
c. invokation of Pan.
d. invokation of the MAP team.
e. closing down the coning of power.
2. Needs other things like the Perelandra essences which are expensive.
I am a Master/Teacher of three forms of Reiki (Karuna, Tibetan, and Usui Shiki Ryoho), and a 7th facet Seichim master. I would prefer to simply place my hands where the healing is necessary and turn on the energy.
He/She's got a good point - why all the etheric beaurocracy? Reminds me of a metaphysical welfare scheme - you get some help, but the helpers take a big chunk of the benefits for themselves. If one can heal more effectively by tapping into universal energy, perhaps by connecting directly with one's own Higher Self and resolving any karmic issues or learning lessons and imbalances, why involve who knows what?
Acquiring fringe knowledge is like digging for diamonds in a mine field.
