In the end I must understand that I am here for a reason. That I sent myself here to learn something. To do something. That it has gotten to this point only shows my density (no pun intended), and now I must contend with very skillful, cunning teachers who are not going to go away until I break through my own ignorance.

I think this is the key realization. And I also want to add my thoughts to this thread just to reiterate that yes indeed this does happen, and no, its not your imagination. I have also noticed that when I ignore them they stop trying, simply because the energy feedback loop just isn't there. I've seen a lot of strange things/people as of late but my attitude these days is:

"Ok, fine. I see you, you're not going to scare/intimidate/harass/surprise me. Have fun doing what you're doing. By yourself."

Thanks for the input, Shoogie. Sorry it's taken so long for me to reply. I've been following a lot of 11th-hour conversations going on here in the forum.

(OFF TOPIC) Noticed your mention in one thread about the name "Shoogie". I was just listening to Mambo Sun last week on my iPod. T-Rex is one of the few 70's bands I can still listen to.

I really can't explain why, but I feel so happy and so hopeful for you, Ocean. I know sometimes it's rough, but in whatever you choose remember: you've got the love. Be well and good luck to you.

And good luck to you too, shukaido. We're all gonna make it through the (perceived) future if we keep our balance.
