Yes, czyx, you are right about the US government and overthrowing governments.  Its not just Latin America.  Its everywhere, Iran, Phillipines, Congo/Zaire.... it goes on and on and on.  And those are just the covert ones.

On the main topic, I don't agree with Communism because it's yet another utopian dream that doesn't take reality into consideration. Unless you're part of a wandering tribe that knows how to live off the land, you're going to need private property in order to survive. The kind of ideological bond that might support a small religious commune can't be extended to an entire country. You're going to get massive corruption and despotism, because who's to stop the bullies? Communism takes history as its "scientific proof" that class struggle is the natural engine of socio-economic change, but it was always the illuminati pulling strings to foment these revolutions. They weren't natural. And it was always the illuminati who ended up in power.

Communists, Neocons, Nazis, Jihadis--all these guys assume that the masses are theirs to manipulate. They think if only they could force the people to see the "truth" of their ideology, then they'd come around. They have no tolerance for differing viewpoints or transcendant viewpoints. To the these extremist ideologues, it's obvious that anybody who doesn't agree with them is so very wrong that they're no longer even human. They kill such people en masse for the "good" of everyone else. This kind of thinking is the opposite of Zen, which advises leaders to stop grasping for control. If you read the Tao Te Ching, you'll find instructions on ruling through inaction rather than action, by understanding the nature of humanity and working with it rather than against it. The only way we're going to see successful communism is if humanity itself is re-engineered to suit it. (Which is a distinct possibility, looking at the direction in which technology is headed.)

I believe that communism is flawed from the beginning as it doesn't take into account the corruption and treachery inherent in many humans. Perhaps a community where everyone shares and contributes would work with the right people, but it's just not right for an entire country, especially when the fellow in charge is a tyrannical bloodthirsty monster, or something to that effect anyway.

I'm still the closet anarchist here. I really don't think that any form of authoritarian government will work in the long term, in any country in the world. Power breeds corruption, end of story. Remove the heirarchy, and let the people be singularly responsible for their own lives and interests.
