The name "Omicron" you found is the international desigination of the satellite, while "Discoverer 17" is the satellite name. If you put one or both into google +satellite you might. For example for Nigeria-SAT1 I found:

i noticed that it jumps from 1987 to 2004 .... isnt that a bit odd ?
Man i can stare at this page forever and try to make out these numbers and such. I stare in awe and amazement and also suspicion, who knows what some of these things are.
for example, one piece is labeled Nigeria-SAT1 or something. And it is in Earth Orbit. you think its a satelitte watching over Nigeria ?

]]>I am still baffled as to how i stumbled across this page. i was trying to conduct a search for a Pipe Welder manufactured by a company called Omicron... and this is something that popped up.
Well it seems that the spread sheet shows parts and stuff for these probes and satellites. Maybe it's possible that Omicron was a contractor for welding some of the parts used? I don't know, just throwing something out there. 
Some are apparantly still in orbit it looks, according to the chart. (space junk! duck! )

Man, just imagine... they have a crapload of Probes out in space that we never even hear about, probably going and inspecting the far planets and who knows what else!

) I see Titan Stage 2 - that's a rocket type. Vangaard, Explorer, Discover II, Pioneer - American probe names it sounds like to me. You got some other Russian stuff in there, like Sovetskiy, Molniya, Perekhodnik. The 6th column from the left seems to say what agency was behind the launch. NASA, USAF, (United States Air Force) JPL (Jet Propulsion Lab) USN (United States Navy??) AFBMD (Air Force Base something? I don't know....) etc. The numbers in the 2nd column correspond to the launch year dates over in the 8th column. Just a lotta Russian and American space info. stuff and labeling that uses the Greek alphabet (alpha, beta, gamma, delta, epsilon, etc.) and then numbers and abbreviated words that don't make any sense without the headings over the columns.]]>can anyone here make some sense out of it?
