For historical purposes: the below was posted by Balor on 27 nov 2004 15:44:35 UTC, in response to mimiminikelo's posts concerning her personal experiences. Balor posted with the e-mail address of Joe. Balor's post was shortly after posting deleted by Balor himself ("Btw, I deleted the post before I noticed that "mimi" had posted a reply, and it remains to be seen just who is mistaking the identity of "mimi". So don't open the champagne just yet. :-)").

---

Balor wrote:

"Mimi's" story is an interesting example of a person on the road to
extreme subjectivity inspired implosion. There are always two sides to
every "tale of woe".

I also was one of the people at the workshop that "mimi" mentions and
had the chance to meet him. Whatever about my opinions of Laura and Ark,
I think that, for the record, a few facts need to stated.

From what I observed of "mimi" and his actions at the QFS workshop
earlier this year, his accusation of a "horrendous lack of external
consideration" on the part of Laura and Ark is nothing more than sour
grapes. Surely everyone on this forum has encountered the phenomenon
before.

In this case, the story goes that "mimi" decided that he would like to
spend some time with Laura and Ark. "Mimi" arrived with all of his
baggage, many assumptions and a good 40 years of isolated solidification
of a very particular view of life and himself.

Unsurprisingly then, issues arose, and much time (months) and effort was
expended on attempting to work with "mimi" and show him how certain
things he said and did affected others, and to ascertain if "mimi" was
really able to fit into the existing framework. "Mimi" struggled with
it, back and forth, even coming to the point of weighing up the pros and
cons of killing everyone in their beds at night (no joke).

Finally "mimi" chose to believe that in fact it was everyone else that
was in error, and that there existed little if any possibility that
there might be anything awry as regards his beliefs or attitudes or
actions. (Further evidence of this being his post to this forum)

In fact, by anyone's standards, "mimi" exhibited some of the most
obtuse, stubborn and arrogant behavior imaginable. To make matters
worse, "mimi" appeared to have a penchant for oogling at and making lewd
comments about young girls - wherever he spotted them. "Mimi" is about
60 years old, so you get the picture here. Not exactly "spiritual
behavior". Yet even on this point Mimi seemed unable or unwilling to do
anything about it, perhaps he thought it was just "natural behavior".
Indeed, it is "natural behavior" for much of humanity. Perhaps it is
"mucking in" with the rest of sleeping humanity that Mimi will find
himself most at home.

It never ceases to amaze me to see the extent to which a person will
distort the truth so that it fits what they want to see and believe.
"Mimi" is clearly only interested in bolstering his own subjective view
of life and the illsusory role he has assigned himself within it.

We notice that some people respond to a "clash of realities", by
understanding that such is the nature of life and the best approach is
"live and let live". Other people however, having had their precious
subjectivity challenged, respond by seeking the destruction of the thing
or person that challenged them. Such is the modus operandi of STS.

Balor

27 nov 2004 15:44:35 UTC

Well, a couple days' worth of "bitching" does serve as a well needed catharsis for pent up frustration and hurt that many members have carried with them for weeks, months, and years. For others, it is simply saying what needs to be said. We have our different styles of doing so, some more blunt than others. Now that we've extensively dished out the facts in response to lies and provocation, there isn't much more to be done. They are only hurting themselves by coming here and falling on their face over and over again. It would be in their best interest to stop while they can, and in our best interest to crack open a can of "SIMMA DOWN NOW" and chill.

To me, it's all a bit of fun, really. And there's nothing wrong with airing your grievances or opinions of others. It's not a judgement, just an observation, because no one is saying that the people involved over on the Cass forums are wrong for doing so. I personally couldn't care less what they do; whatever floats their boat. I'd just prefer that they do it away from NR. I don't see anyone here going over to casschat and causing trouble like those guys have done here, and they deserve whatever harsh treatment they get.

Hi there "new member"

So you are Joe, not Balor. Why is your use of a pseudonym Ok and not Ok for others?. People use pseudonymns for various reasons. You assume a lot as you have already demonstrated in your "spotting" of me, or should I say mimi?

Joe wrote:

???? Tom, you should know better than anyone that there must be a serious percentage of fakers on this forum writing under pseudonyms, especially those that seem to come here with the sole agenda of trashing the Cass site and the cass groups' members.

The above shows one crucial difference in thinking between this forum and the one you feel is under such horrible attack. Is it the case that you work on the assumption that a serious percentage of the hundreds of people at Cass chat are fakers? Even if that assumption was truth, what have you to fear, as when the "fakers" reveal themselves, you can remove them no? Or do you remove people just based on the assumption that they are fakers, then all they say, even if it is genuine seeking for clarity, gets taken as "evidence" of their fakery?. This has happened to a number of people on cass chat as you know. I wonder if any got an apology? Paranoia and hubris can make one jump to wrong conclusions.

Joe wrote:

Why then would you assume that Mimi is who "she" says she is, unless you have set up this forum, at least in part, for "beleaguered" recovering cass group members who lack the decency and integrity to just agree to disagree.

As far as I know and can see, Tom assumes nothing, but lets peoples actions do their talking for them. The fact that this forum attracts people who have come across or been members of Cass chat means just that and no more. Are you asking that people who wish to understand and share their experience of Cass chat be booted out? I am afraid the upholding of freewill gets in the way of that. As a former Cass chatter, I do have the integrity to "just agree to disagree". But I also have the right to share my understanding of the experiment. I have chosen to do so in this forum. I haven't set up a website for that purpose like some we are aware of, and I certainly do not tell people what to do. We value freewill and free expression here, which is the major reason I am here.

Just because my conclusions are different from yours re: Cassiopaea, does not mean that is my "sole agenda". Your sense of self importance about the Cassiopaea experiment can be an obstacle to seeing as you have demonstrated in your few introductory posts.

There is no insidious agenda that I can see on this forum. Perhaps you could enlighten us in your brief time here. You are the one on board with this cass specific agenda it seems.

Joe wrote:

Btw, I deleted the post before I noticed that "mimi" had posted a reply, and it remains to be seen just who is mistaking the identity of "mimi". So don't open the champagne just yet. :-)

Joe

Oh really? Why did you delete the post before you noticed that I had posted a reply? Sounds like you are lying. And you know the difference between truth and lies don't you?, because you have written much about it in SOTT.

Now that Tom revealed your identity in a heartbeat, it does remain to be seen who is mistaking what identity. I do wish you would take more care and external consideration with your words as you are shooting yourself in the foot with each syllable you write. Then again, according to you, I don't care about you because my sole agenda here is that of "trashing the Cass Site and Cass groups' members".

As we both know how 4th density STS works to subvert and distract, this is the last post in which I am going to expend any energy discussing this with you as it seems that currently, you don't have the ears to hear, or the eyes to see.

mimi

Thanks for the update. I don't know of anyone here causing trouble at Casschat, and I certainly don't condone the invasion of another's discussion space. This reminds me of the time random people would join Casschat and eventually be accused of being Vincent Bridges incognito. It's sad how far paranoia can drag one down the ladder of integrity.

I think everyone should have the right to discuss constructive topics at places in resonance with that topic, and to interfere with that right by disturbing the peace at a different place is rude. By rude, I mean continuing after being advised against it. So if anyone here is thinking about knocking heads at Casschat, know that this would be rude and unwise behavior.

Kathy wrote:

There are still good people in that group and some good research going on, but there is also some real negative stuff going on too.

Agreed. I'm on friendly terms with several members there and people do learn a lot thanks to their work. It's the right place for the right people, as are other places -- home is where the heart is. But the negative stuff is also prevalent, as we've discussed here at NR. Caveat lector indeed.

Kathy wrote:

I have no desire for revenge. I will not act against the Cass group or QFS or any members there and I truly wish everyone there well, but I withdraw my support.

I wish they could do the same, just mind their own business and stop sending Ark and BB and Balor and whoever else over here to make like monkeys and fling poo. If it weren't for Ark, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Luckily this is a multi-threaded forum, so this discussion isn't impinging upon the non-Cass related ones. I look forward to the closure that will come when this finally ends.

Ok, I wasn't going to mention this, but since the spoilers seemed determined to continue I am going to bring it up. Yesterday, when I left casschat there was a discussion going on between a new member, I'll just call her "M", and the group. "M" started off with some questions about FRV and the C's and had some criticism concerning Laura's writing, nothing big, just Lauras tendency to not be concise and to not cite her sources properly. I think some QFS members decided it was someone from this forum, because they not only accused her of "trolling" but of being a "troll". "Trolling" was a term Montalk used recently concerning 'ark', so I think they thought they were calling out this "M" person. If they thought it was me (because I have made a few light criticisms of Laura's style here) it wasn't. They may have even thought it was 'Mimi' given the attack in this thread. I really don't think this person was anyone from Montalk. "M"'s writing style didn't fit anyone that I can think of here. But I wouldn't be surprised if she joins this group soon . For the record, I have not contacted her and will not contact her. I have no intention of 'stealing' casschatters. There would be no point.

What is really funny about this whole situation is that I had already mentioned the Washington Post article. I would have probably mentioned the new forum. Everyone already knows about casschat and the Signs Page. Still, I had every intention of helping promote the C's and the Cass site, when there were notable developments, not only here but other selected places. In light of Ark's and Balor's behavior here, I will not be doing that. There are still good people in that group and some good research going on, but there is also some real negative stuff going on too. I have no desire for revenge. I will not act against the Cass group or QFS or any members there and I truly wish everyone there well, but I withdraw my support.

Kathy
