I have actually had those wonderful smells while doing healings on people at times - it's as if the room is filled with roses or other flowers and there is no reason for them to appear but it did feel like there was a "gentle presence" helping out.

I have just figured that there was some minor miracle at work even though I never understood exactly what was happening since I don't see things - I can just feel them.

Have also had times while meditating where there was a smell almost like cat pee and then had the feeling that there was a not so nice presence checking out what I was doing in which case I just send them back to where they came from.

This sounds similar , but not identicle to somethig i experienced a while back.
I was meditating with a healer in thailand and about 40 mins in to it i suddenly i got a whiff of amonia or sulphur- like strong urine or something. i the place we were meditating was not close to any toilets or anything like that. It freaked me out abit so i asked the healer what it meant afterwards. She said that it was a spirit . she also added that when you meditate and smells come through it is something communicating with you. if the smell is bad its a lower level sprirt - not nesissarlily bad - but not necisarily helpful. she said when you get a smell like perfume or flowers then that means that its a teacher/higher level with some useful message.

sometimes unusual bad smells can be a precursor to seizure activity, if there is any family history or other symptoms you might want to consider a check-up of sorts.

I would find a priest or preacher of any denomination, I don't think it matters. If he says he can do something about it, he's probably right. I think there are people among the clergy who know how to clear that stuff from your home. I think it is then neutral, so they then call upon good forces to bless your space. I'm a Theosophist so I really don't push any particular religion other than the Ancient Wisdom. I also do not condemn any religion among the humanity on this Earth. I'm drawn to the religion that made use of Runes, but I don't believe enough of it exists anymore.

I'll also add that when the bad smell came up last night during the meditation attempt, I lit up some Nag Champa (incense that I absolutely adore the scent of) and even IT smelled like death or something.
I honestly can't say I have found any recent negative feelings inside me to cause any of this other than the fact that I am currently pissed off at my ex boyfriend for apparently giving away a favorite pair of boots of mine to someone else, but those are just boots really, and it only pisses me off to a certain degree, more like a minor agitation. I don't think it could be enough to screw with my entire way of thinking.
In all honesty I have been quite happy lately. Minorly irritated by a few things but not enough to drag me down or anything. If anything life seems to be looking up way better than it has in a long time...
So I am confused.

The past week I have noticed that I will be somewhere and everything smells fine then out of nowhere I smell something bad. It's not really a pin-pointable smell either, like a fart or a skunk or something, matter of fact I don't know what it is. Then last night I tried to meditate and it showed up really strong and wouldn't go away. I'd also like to note that ever since I was a child I would meditate (as a child though I didn't know that was what it was called) and I used to could see what sort of looked like colorful static and waves and patterns in things and myself but last night when I meditated and that smell came up, everything got distorted really bad, couldn't have a pattern made of it, it looked cloudy, like something was trying to hide it from me. And I went and rubbed my eyes and head then noticed the smell all over my hands and hair and it freaked me out sort of. I blew out the candles and quit meditating and it all went away.
Nothing like this has ever happened before so I am curious as to what it might mean. Could it be some sort of negative energy? I know I have read about how negative energies can cause bad smells. Only trouble is, is if it is, how do I know if it is my own, some one or some thing else's or an accumulation of both? Is this something that just goes away on it's own and shouldn't be worried about or is there something I should do?
