I follow the same approach, Joeman. I've noticed that a lot of seekers immediately attribute almost everything negative they experience to 'Reptilians' or other menevolent entities.

i don't know what you mean, you think it was a past life or something, because i tried to touch snakes and nothing happends only little snakes, and i am not very scare when i see big ones, because i have a friend that has one, but i been having this problem scince i was 3!!! c'mon, it's hard for me...and i tried hipnosis doesn't work on me for real...

Well, my style is that I always look for normal, simple, and natural explanations first before I look for paranormal answers.  But if I have known you before hand, I wouldn't have done that because you are indeed a strange case.  I don't mean that in a bad way.  You are special.

A lot of people have phobia's, it is kind of normal.  Females usually fear snakes more than males.  I personally fear spiders because they can be on me without my knowing it.  Everytime I come across a snake, it is usually tripping over itself to get away from me, if you can imagine a snake tripping over itself.  Except for rattlesnakes, I tried to nail one with a rock once to get it out of the road so I could drive on without running it over, and the little rascal took off, but directly to where I was standing! 

You must have known what a snake was at age three or four, and to fear them, which could be attributed to a host of reasons.  Overhearing adults talking about them; a brother dangling a real or fake snake near you to scare you; coming across one and innocently wanting to play with it, only to have the thing bare its teeth at you.  A natural ativistic instinctual fear of them arising from the sub-conscious, and I don't want to over-rule past life experiences.

Now, normal daily anxieties that arise can be cast into the 'fear of little snakes' file, which I would call transferrence.  This does two things; it saves one the bother of examining anxieties so as to handle problems while they are still small problems; and it magnifies the size of the 'fear of little snakes' file.  You can pick on me for that.  I deserve it.  I've been in a rascally mood since the sun started making days longer.

no that is not the case, i only lived with my granma and my mom which she was young, i swear i don't know were i got this, and they didn't know why i knew what a snake is, if i can tell you everything i experience you'll problably wont believe me, and i was the only child back then, in fact i was the only child for 9years, and i don't have phobia, i was very scare when i was little, and when i started dreaming i dreamed alot of them, and my friend has one, i'm not scare of his snake Lola, but thanks anyways for your comment for real...

I think there is a simple explanation.  You were traumatized by the sight of snake when you were little.  You subconciousness tells you that snake is dangerous and you should be afraid of it.  This psychological trauma becomes a part of your "shadow self".  You still dream about snake for the same reason that I still dream about missing my final exams and wake up in cold sweats.  Shadow self needs to be confronted before it goes away.  I am not sure how exactly regression therapy works. It' You probably just go spend a lot of time with snakes and even hold one.  Try to make the experience terrifying if possible.  Confront your fear and it will go away.
