Actually, that was one of the *the* main points in "V For Vendetta."  !  They showed how the British government created and set loose the virus that wiped out over 100,000 people...then after mass anarchy ensued and Chancellor Sutler was elected to restore order, Big Pharma miraculously discovered the "cure" for the virus.  Cut to scene in the movie showing thousands of pills tumbling down the conveyor belt.  "Problem Reaction Solution."

I do see your gripe with the way "I am Legend" shows the scientist finding the cure to something science created in the first place.   All these movies are a mixed bag, with good and bad mixed in.

All it is is... making aware choices.  Individually.  It's a simple choice really, create energy... or 'borrow' false energy from the system, which is believing in the lie and ultimately giving up your ability to choose life over death and (self) creation.

Yeah will smith is cool.  There have been people time and time again that would attempt to help people to see.

I am not too sure it works out that way, though indeed its likely that some people will show how it is in books and films for STO reasons. So this a generalisation and not aimed at Will or this film personally.

Reverse psycology could be playing here too,  showing things as they really are via fiction, most people will not get it and so dissacosiate from the reality they are being shown and associate it with fiction instead.
Also by showing things as they are and us not getting it we are somehow giving permission for it to occur subconciousley.
It may be like  a huge magic spell or similar to illuminati symbology that is everwhere whereby we as reality creators are actually either creating/boosting or giving permission for this reality via our unconcious mind as a reality creator.
Sometimes its so in your face that one can't help but wonder why the rest of the world can't see it and i offer this as one explantion as to why TPTB put it in plain view.
I do accept though if STO folk want to share their insights via Movies and Fiction then how else can they do it?
Its like in the Simpsons, some people in the "know" say they are telling us about the real USA while others in the "know" think Groening is freemason and getting people to disassociate from the horrors of what is being shown as humour, while most people want even see anything at all and the kids just laugh at the lower levels from the many different levels the show is written on.

herez something interesting i thought i would share....I haven't watched the movie yet...am kinda grounded here in India but i know it definately a good movie...and the connection speed is not that good that allows me to stream it online...

I can't seem to find a picture of the I am legend with the same symbol but am pretty sure i have watched it in a trailer where hez walkint and this sign is on the high risers on banners ...anyone watched the movie and looked into details might know it...

I don't know....people can say what they will about Scientology, but if Will Smith was responsible for this movie being about what it is, as noted above, then he's a very smart guy.  Probably a lot smarter than people give him credit for.  !

AHA!!! Seriously, this isn't worth reading if you haven't seen the movie, it'll spoil it, you don't want to read it. Don't listen to that stupid part of yourself telling you to do it just because I told you not to. So he thinks he's the last man on Earth. At Ground Zero, where apparently a genetically designed "cure" for "cancer" which of course doesn't work (not natural) people mutate not only from being bitten but also from an AIRBORNE virus. Just contact with this deadly "disease" will turn you into a light-forsaken soul sucking "dark seeker". Umm, quotes are for emphasis I guess trying to make you think of how that relates to every day life and the creation of reality as we know it. It is interesting that animals and dogs are not susceptible to the airborne version, only if they are bitten. Obviously humans are extremely susceptible to anything that enters their awareness, sensory input can connect deeply with rooted subconscious beliefs allowing us to be influenced "over the air" (media, tv, music, politics) without correctly observing, understanding and preserving your awareness. If people do not monitor their awareness and purpose they are sucked into a trap which sometimes manifests in negative ways (depression, cancer, disease) The dog is called Sam consistently throughout the movie until near the end when we find out SAMANTHA is dying. This is "man's best friend" and because of the TRAP that he set for himself from an ILLUSION he loses her to the dark seeker dogs while she saves his life. He also tries to talk to the illusionary girl at the "movie store" (think about your movie) and sobs as he gets no response from this lifeless fake he had set up after this huge disaster.

Then Will Smith decides to take as many of the assholes with him as possible with his "vehicle" after they kill his beloved dog and he is at his end (face to face with the "alpha male" (title in credits) of the infected guy that risked self-destruction by standing in the light to protect his old love interest that Will obviously captured). Will is even oblivious to this because he seemed puzzled that the alpha male would do such a thing. We even see at the end that Will CURED the alpha female that the male was so bent on killing him for (on the other side of glass...) We see the woman that saves him (who even has a kid with her, a symbol of new life (who grabs a knife as a survival instinct, knows how to defend himself) represents FAITH w/ reason as opposed to Will who is REASON. Will talks on and on about the statistics of how many people are left, thinking it impossible to start again, but this woman KNOWS and she is right. Will (reason) does not believe this until he is reminded of his daughter and the butterfly, a symbol obviously of metamorphosis, end and beginning. He decides to put her in the "safe" and she tries to get him to come in (she had faith), but Will knew the REASON the alpha male wanted him and that he would not stop unless he had him. Will says f that s and blows all of em up. The reasoned have to protect and respect the faithful for this all to work out. The combination of Faith and Reason create rebirth.

Also, it is interesting they mentioned that the COLD is where the people decided to live because it was harder for the virus to spread there. It is interesting because most people prefer warmth, the positive, creative, masculine side as opposed to cold the negative, feminine (receptive to an increase, the addition of heat) The cold is what we have to get used to, we must accept the "negative" with the "positive" but also utilize the not actually negative negative to learn from and create more positive in the lovingly strengthened negative. Why keep doing this creative stuff that destroys the receptive, life-perpetuating part of things? It doesn't make any sense.
