Masters of the Universe were the toys I played with most as a kid. Come to think of your post, yes there is some Templar symbolism there. He-Man's red iron cross looks like the Templar Cross, and he does say "By the Powers of grayskull, I have the power" as he transforms from Prince Adam to He-Man. The Templars were accused of worshipping the head of Baphomet, but that was religious ignorance interpreting sufic/rosicrucian symbology and technology as something blasphemous. The Cassiopaeans said the head of Baphomet was a crystal skull as well as symbolizing decapitation which meant cutting off the limited mind to access the unlimited mind. As far as skulls go, it's evident from other secret societies like Skull'n'Bones stealing the head of Geronimo, together with what Bringers of the Dawn said about using sound to extract/channel knowledge from bones and skulls, that the head of Baphomet was probably a method by which initiates could be imparted esoteric knowledge or energy directly using skull->sound->skull holographic information transfer. Similar to reiki energy activation, Cathars placing hands upon initiates to activate them, and what ancients did with sound using stonehenge as a communication device to higher densities.

Yeah, I used to be a big fan of the show when I was younger. One of my relatives worked as a manager out at Mattel (who produce the dolls) and so I often used to get the dolls sent to me (and my sister would get the Barbies, hehe). There does appear to be a lot of symbolism within it, but there has been symbolism in many "childrens" TV shows and movies, including Star Wars and more recently Harry Potter. It certainly does assist in firing the imagination.

Dear Friends
kind regards
I am a fan of the 1980's He-man and the Masters of the Universe TV cartoon.
I have all of the 5 DVD's they release of episodes.
I do wonder however if there was more to this cartoon than meets the eye.
Lets look at the facts..............
1. They live on a planet called Eternia and know of a planet Earth.
2. He-man is a Nordic looking warrior wearing a red Iron cross.
3. Skeletor(maybe he is based on an ancient villain ET) has a havoc staff with a rams head-it looks like Baphomet.
4. The Sorceress shape shifts into a bird-like the Native American elders claimed too.
I absolutely love this cartoon but I would like to know if there is more to it than just a regular cartoon...........maybe it is based on events that happened thousands of years ago.
Alot of esoteric knowledge was put in this cartoon.
If you could add your input into this subject I'd appreciate it.
yours thankfully
John
