Funny that mars eclipsed luna tonight. The moon was my last tarot card for 'self' and tonight when the moon was at zenith i stopped a bad fight on the street. Whoa!
Sorry, my mistake. The actual eclipse should happen tonight. Mars is extremely visible next to the moon right now. The moon will turn red tonight for sure.

The moon is as it has been for the last 3 to 4 days, full, white and luminous.
At 20:15 GMT high in the sky, it's zenith at the top of the sky around midnight.

Jupiter in Conjunction, 10:49 p.m. 12:49 a.m. (12/23)
A planet in conjunction typically cannot be seen because it is too closely in line with the Sun. Technically this is a "superior" conjunction (see Dec. 17 above), but since Jupiter is always farther from the Sun than the Earth, we can drop the "superior" and just call it a "conjunction." Although this cannot be seen, it marks the date when Jupiter moves from technically being in the evening sky to being in the morning sky.

Although Mars was nearest to Earth on the 18th, today is the date when the combination of nearness and phase make it brightest (magnitude -1.6) of the year. However, the change from night to night is not great enough to note. Look for the Moon to pass very near by later in the evening.

According to Joe Rao (http://www.space.com/spacewatch/061229_ … s2007.html), this is the "Full Cold Moon." But it is actually the 13th Full Moon of the year, so designations as the December Full Moon may be ambiguous. To the Lakota Sioux, the Moon at this time is the "Moon of Popping Trees," and to the Cheyenne, the "Big Freezing Moon" (Additional Moon names from The Moon Book by Kim Long, Johnson Books, Boulder, 1998). Because Full Moons in winter roughly mirror the position of the Sun in summer, this Moon rises very high overhead by late night.

]]>To me the grand conjunction occured when electricity was restored after three days. Maybe, it's Nibiru that caused an historical ice storm that knocked out the power. I'm "rapture ready." Is this the dawning of Aquarias? If so, I highly recommend Placido 2006 Chianti. If an ice storm happens in your neck of the woods watch out for "black ice." I fell and almost, who knows?
