I was just at Amazon to order this myself.   One of the reviews also recommended a book called "Arcane Lore" as a good supplement to Bruce's book.     I just found a few chapters of that book free on the author's website.    It's a lot of humor mixed with interesting occult material and quotations.

I don't know about that book......from the three sample chapters I saw it was mostly just quotes....?   Doesn't seem to be a lot of substance.  Versus Robert Bruce's material, which is more like "Push your sleeves up, get down to business, no messing around, let's learn about neg entities, who they are, what they do, how they operate....and what you can do to get rid of them" from his real life, hands-on, first person experiences.  I'm surprised people would have recommended this book to go along with "Practical Psychic Self Defense" only because the formats, styles and approaches aren't alike and the content doesn't seem to be related at all.....

I just want to thank Vajra and Lyra for their reccomendations. I tried both the yarrow flower essence and mugwort as well, which has been helping me repair some holes in my energy field-a noticeable difference. And I did in fact buy the practical psychic self defence book by Robert Bruce, which was excellent and contained a lot of valuable information about spirituality.

Wow, cool!  You're welcome.  It really is a fantastic book, and highly recommended for anybody who has ever dealt with the paranormal and non-physical entities.

A great  read indeed! I picked it up earlier this year after a recommendation from LM, and fell in love with it.  Lots of great info and advice.  My roomate also very much enjoyed the book.

Here's some...
1. Yarrow flower essence, it helps to seal the holes in the aura, the most effective essence I've ever used
2. Visualizing shielding - this can work but the downside is that it must be reinforced daily at least
3. Two items from ceremonial magic:  lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram and middle pillar exercise.   Someone referred to the
    LBRP earlier in this thread, there is a more elaborate version but you'd have to see if you felt comfortable doing it with your
    particular beliefs.   Middle pillar also involves intoning names of God as well.   See Ted Andrews book on psychic protection for
    these.
4. Stones - there are some stones when carried on your person in contact with your skin confer some protection, tiger eye, black
    tourmaline, boji stones
5. And the best but the hardest....raise your vibration much higher than your parents and the entities involved.  This is best done
    through meditation practices that are deeply centering and evoke very blissful states.   It's like negative energy just can't get in.
    The downside is that once under attack it is very hard to summon up the will and concentration to complete such practices.
6. And one more, energetic cord cutting maybe provide relief as well though my experiences with it so far are mixed.
