and i have never ever wanted to go to disneyworld/land.  some of my friends, most of my cousins, they have all gone.  it was like a rite of passasge or something.  but i never wanted to go. 
and my parents seemed to have no interest in taking me.  i figured that it had something to do with the monetary cost of the trip, so i never pursued.

Mom:"Psst, it's been 12 years and he hasn't mentioned Disney"
Dad:"Shuush, that's ok, sure we give him everything he needs,if he doesn't mention it that's fine, we could save the money we spend going to Disney and retire happily or buy a small island."
Mom:" Yeah, I suppose and we would have a little left to buy him a car when he's 16."
Dad: "Yup"

That and every other theme park in the world that ever existed, exists or will exist.
Agh but sure they love it and we love them.
I watched Disney and went to parks when young and I still turned out half ok

I've always felt the whole Disney thing was a little creepy, too. It's definitely a mind control tool, starting with the Mickey Mouse Club and going on from there, right through to the silliness of shows like "America's Funniest Home Videos." In that show, there are undercurrents that border on child exploitation that I find disturbing. You'll miss them if you don't look closely, and most people don't see them at all--just cute kiddie antics caught on film. It's not so much the videos in and of themselves--and not all of them--but the way they're put together and presented to the public that bothers me. It makes me wonder, once again, what we're being softened up/conditioned for.

And I don't think I'm just being paranoid... though anything's possible, I guess. These are just my observations. Total: $.02.

Myself, I don't watch ABC anymore, and I've never been drawn to the Disney parks either, though I have friends who are completely obsessed with the whole thing. I just don't get it... But then again, maybe I do.

part of me thought that i would come back home, but wouldn't be the same.  like i would have been initiated.
but i didn't want to be initiated.  i don't like groups.  i don't like clubs.

a couple of friends joined "the knights of pythias" in college.  they tried to get me to join, to sign my name to their application.
i said, "hell no.  i don't want to join a fraternal order."
my wife has a friend that is in "the rotary club".  she went to a dinner with that friend one night.  when she came home, i asked her about it.  she said that it was ethnically diverse and everyone was nice.  she said that before dinner they all stood and said the pledge of allegiance.  i said, you didn't did you?  she said, "yes.  you had to."
or else?  i didn't say that, but i thought it.
you HAD to?  i don't get HAVE to.
i don't know where this is going.

are all these clubs and groups part of the big picture?
