]]>I'm a Dell Campus Rep, and just promoted to a Gaming Rep at Ball State University. I got a free XPS 1210 to demo, and soon to be an XPS 1730. I mainly hand out flyers, promo items and work at a kiosk at the bookstore.
Also I work for the University Computing Services imaging 11 labs on campus, promoted from a lab assistant. My major is Management Information Systems and I'm a 4th year Junior. It may seem like im a motivated person, but deep down im apathetic and I pretty much hate it. I'd rather live in a cabin like Thoreau or be a wanderer like Chirs McCandles, but that's not going to happen any time soon...I'd like to move west after college, never get married and have no kids. That's my plan.

]]>One time i worked in this place, where my job was: Give a skid of materials to the people in production using my forklfit truck when they ask for it.
In a 8 hour shift, they hardly came once or twice. Till then for the most part i was in the office. Reading all the pdf books i could.

I love the sharing on this thread of mixing and balancing work in our 3d world while being tuned into the spiritual and etheric worlds. You know what, for me personally, the spiritual and etheric ARE what mix into and balance work so that it naturally becomes an extension of our hearts...more and more...as the energy of the heart seems to be more of what is 'out there' and becoming clearer and more defined and connecting more and more folks to the 'heart' of the matter, which is really what matters. I am excited every new day to be in such an energetic realm that really is opening up right in front of us with such vibration that a new spiritual experience can be had through everything we do.
If that sounds fluffy...well, I'm full of fluff then, HaHa! Gotta go catch the sunrise!;)

Lyra! I would like to find out more about your temp jobs (how they work, how you get them, what sites you visit and so on). Currently, I do marketing/sales and merchandising for companies such as Magellan(GPS) Vonage, Sony, Creative, NVIDIA and many others. I would like to get into a temp agencies and be able to combine the Marketing/Sales, Merchandising with Temp agency jobs. It will give me the freedom to continue working on my books and my freelance writing business. Currently, I am also, trying to move out with my girlfriend and we are thinking about kids and such. I am finishing up College and receiving my AA for English. I already received my communication certificate and will need 2 classes, to get my technical writing certificate. What ideas,tips,books or websites do you have to offer in order for me to dig into this field.
Also, do you think that a guy can do this agency thing? Sometimes, I get the idea, that people are biased against guys doing this type of work.

Hello there. I don't think Lyra keeps track of this thread anymore, so don't be offended that she hasn't replied. She may not realize you've posted directly to her. I believe that the type of temp work she is doing is just the standard temp services that you can find in every major city. I've worked at several of them in my town. Anybody can work for them, if you can pass certain tests. In my town, the temp services place people in factories for the most part, as well as clerical/administrative work. That's what Lyra's talking about. And yes, they hire men at the same rate as they do women.
It sounds like you need a different type of temp agency. An ex-boyfriend of mine worked as a contractor in a more technical-type field, but it was thru some kind of temp agency. They are specifically for tech jobs and the contracts usually last 6 months or longer. You won't likely find your type of work by going to a regular temp agency, although it's always good to call them and find out if they have work in your arena. It depends on who it is and what city you're in. We had to move to the biggest city in our state for his (the ex) job.
You might try looking online, like at Monster.com, for something like you're talking about. Or do a search on 'temporary jobs, technical' just for example. Just fill in the blank with what job you want. You can get pretty specific in the search engine.

Good morning for it...it is snowing steadily out there!
I have been building residentially and commercially about all my adult life.
This past year has been focused on re-awakening my within-ness and helping others in my life that have an interest to see and re-awaken their own within-ness.
What I use to do has become secondary, but of course, still allows me to bring in what I need in the 3d world, and for that I am grateful.
Here is a two-tier circular deck with 1/3 wrap-around stairs facing an outdoor concrete patio. I built this for some good friends a few years ago. Wonderful to be able to get creative like this at times when the freedom is there to do so...very gratifying.
Kinda like the gratification in helping others help themselves see their inner connections to the cosmos in these wonderful times of change!

I'm thinking of working for my parent's migration business as a salesperson and marketing person and move out this year - probably thinking of buying a property instead of renting but I still need to read more about Real Estate and do heaps of research on the market. For some reason I want to start a business of some kind.. if I have time amongst my third year university studies and speeches.. I just want to have passive streams of income for myself. Growing and owning a business is a way that I think would be good for me to have this. I value time freedom a lot so I don't really want to work like 40 hour weeks doing stuff other people give me. Employees are leveraged by the system, business systems leverage people. So if I fail great, at least I would have tried and learnt a lot.
