I totally agree that your light is who you are.  You can use the will and intention to change your frequency, intensity, vibration of your light, as well as to ascribe certain specific purposes to it.  This is what the technique that I described is doing--using a part of what you are to accomplish a specific task.   I don't see this as any kind of a denial of who you are, if that is what you were thinking, but rather as a confirmation of the truth of your being.

Indeed. I was just making sure as there are alot of folk out there that seem to think it has more to do with picturing this light like it's some sort of video game projection. This is particularly rampant among teenagers interested in new age or magical practices. So they THINK they are getting some sort of protection, but they are actually digger a deeper hole...

  Liz, you are right, that everyone's perception is different hence the need for different practices and ways of dealing with these sort of attacks. Like you, they are quite real for me. And we have very similar experiences. I have heard this static sound many many times before. It's such an odd sound, like a microchip gone wrong or the sound of old modems gone wrong.
  The conclusion I have come to is that there is really nothing much we can do about it at this point. I picture my physical vehicle as a rat in a cage, in a dark room. Every now and again, a scientist will stick an electric rod in, behind the rats back and poke him with it. Then to poor rat jumps and faces the rod, but it's no longer there, it's behind him again. But with each experiene, the rat learns a little more. The poor thing has lots of time to think about the whole thing so he recognises patters of when the attacks come, and even the occasional flash of a scientists white robes in the dark. But there is still so very very much he doensn't know.

I've faught these things off, facing them head on with everything I had, and thought myself rid of them. And then a month later they are back, having woven thier way back into my aura when I'm too haggard to fight against it. So there for me at least is no winning, per say, just LEARNINIG.
  But feel free to share the experiences and I at least will give my input.
  There might be some posts on this sight about the experience I have had. If not, alot of them are on the SOTT forum, which I was kicked off of for being cheeky.

Greycat.... hmmm I just wonder how close our experiences really are now.  I have tried what you mention, such as being angry, and then relaxing... and just going with the flow.  Neither of these seem to help me when I go through this for the past decade +.  I've tried speaking to whatever it is...as I do channel quite well...usually all I get is a headfull of sound like waves or intense static...few times I have woken with nosebleeds or bad earaches ...I'm still hurting from the  night before last...my whole body aches....I don't know if that's just from my muscles clenching or what. It's awful. 

I did have one time that it happened a few months ago where I did see an image but the image looked fake and it was like looking at a computer screensaver...a black field with rows of faces on them, it was all very fake-looking and it kept getting closer to me.  In my head, I said, "Wait a minute, what the heck is this? This does not happen, you cannot do this to me...then I laughed at the ridiculousness of it." And the experience stopped.  I thought that was very cool.  That was really the first time I felt like I made it stop.  But now... I'm back with the pain and noise without anything to focus on? I guess.. I dunno.  I tried the same thing the night before last..it didn't last as long, but the effects are just as real.

Anyway last night nothing happened, though I didn't try to ask angels or HC for any advice...plus I fell asleep with my hand on my dog...that always seems to keep whatever it is from happening...if I have my hand on another living thing.

What seems to be so difficult in pinning this sort of thing down is that everyone's perception is different.  What seems like one thing to one person, seems like something else to another though they may be the same thing.

Oh ya... I may go on for a few days about this or other things... trust that I am following advice.  Sometimes..okay well all the time... I read new information and cannot seem to relate to it and etc...but I get all this info. and somewhere I guess my subconscious works on putting all the correlations together and etc....then soon it kind of all meshes together and an understanding is formed.  I have taken this approach since I started meditating about 18 years ago... it's just how it works.  But without new info I somewhat get into ruts and get confused when new experiences happen or things that have worked in the past fail to do so. 

So just know that I am taking advice and I am reading, even if my words do not seem to reflect that.  I know it will all come together for me soon...I just need to keep getting information on things like this.

   These are STS creatures, meaning they will try to take the maxium amount of energy with the minnium of knowledge givin of thier true state. Initially I reacted in fear, which is like candy to them. Then I got mad, which often helps as emotions are powerful, especially defiance. But eventually you cease to be mad and then calmly, both defiant and interested in knowing who and what they are, you move on. At this point, when you just LOOK at them, they vanish. Every encounter I have had is burned into my mind. When it happens enough, you try to glean as much as you can from even the smallest of observations. And each time they hit you, you learn a little bit more about what they are. This they really don't like.
  They will still harrow you, but alot of the initial fight is over as you are no longer candy. No more fear.

  This is the hardest thing to develop, as it takes years of intention with all the experiences and interactions you have in your life. Each one is an imprint on your soul. When you face these things, and I have done this fifty times or more already, the whole of you faces them...

I've been having the same sort of experience for about three years now. It's taken me a long time and alot of contemplation to figure out what is going on, but it SEEMS that each time I try to leave my body in an OBE, it isn't long before I am attacked by elements of the dream turning on me. When I wake, I am paralyzed and there are usually these entities above my head, floating over me. They look like etheric squids, or cuttlefish.
  I'm at the point when I can really feel when they are taking over the dream, as if I sense they are near. Several times in a dream, I've turned around and FACED them and they have just dissapeared.
  So yeah, I'm at the point where I figure there something is dragging me down into the lower astral or something.

Interesting how you mention these entities above your head after experiencing something like this.

One time I awoke and there was this static field around my body. I couldn't see or hear anything. Once it faded away and I was able to sense, if you will, I looked up and above my head were three small, etheric cloud-like things circling.

Here is a link to a short description of a very effective technique for cutting cords using a stone called Kyanite.  I have to say, though, that the Kyanite is not absolutely essential for this to work.  The routine will work without it if you can't get any.  But the Kyanite makes it a lot more fun!

Cool. Thanks. I have used a few cord cutting rituals/visualizations but so far... things seem to help but I continue to use them when I can and it's not getting better.  Hopefully this and anything else anyone has posted will help....because I will be doing them.   What do you think may be a decent substitute for the Kyanite? Possibly an apache tear? mebe?

Ah wow... that seems very similar yest...though I do not try to OBE or go astral and I don't see or feel entities.  Half the time I'm not anywhere near sleep when it happens now... at least not last night.

Oh Windrunner... your tube of blue light seems similar to my blue and purple flames.  Very cool.  It all used to work very well but I think the issue with this now for me must be because it got such a good hold without me being aware of it.  Plus I had stopped doing any magic or energy or angel work.  So.. yeah kinda my own fault.

I do have to say I have good news to report though... when Windrunner posted about the mineral exercise, I did manage to go grab a handful of stones and get out of the house today....and my friend who sent me the book also was able to talk to me today and I was able to share this with him as well.... erm.. he doesn't go for the whole "energy" gig lol  but he is very understanding.  In any case... between just being here and reading this forum, my new book and our conversation I feel a lot better already.

So.. I"m putting this all into practice...just so you all know.  And thank you all so much.  I have a good feeling that I will feel much better and be through this soon.  hah.  I haven't felt this uplifted for several months... thank you all again.

This will also work to sever connections that Etheric beings have made to you.   These guys really are not as powerful as some of us make them out to be.  Their main strength lies in subterfuge and staying invisible to your notice.  We tend to forget just how powerful we are and just how much control we have if we are just willing to accept the Truth of it.

Which brings up the subject of connecting to your Higher Self.  You have a wonderful advantage in being able to do this, since you are used to being consciously out of your physical body.  Here is a suggestion from a book titled, The Secret of the Soul, by William Buhlman.  Next time you are out-of-body, simply give the command in a very forceful voice, "Higher Self, NOW!"  Then stay open to experience the connection being opened up.  This results in a most beautiful, complete experience.
