  That's astounding!  I know it shouldn't surprise me that much, but it shocks me every time I see the manipulation going on with the media and elsewhere.  It reminds me of how easy it is to manipulate people who live in different areas by feeding them different information, or in this case, by saying nothing at all about something and then acting as if it's just now a big deal.  In the midwest here, I hadn't heard anything that I can remember (before seeing that Reuters article) about these Asian dust storms depositing soil onto lands across the Pacific.  It still doesn't make any sense to me why report on it now.  It's like all those "breakthroughs" in medical studies reporting on things that I remember them reporting on when I was a kid!  It's just recycling old news and acting as if it's something new.  Talk about repeating the Matrix programming.  It makes me stop and think about every flippin' little thing that I've ever learned or been told about this world.  It seems no matter how big or small or what the topic is, we've been fed misinformation to some degree.

Lilmomma, that's totally nuts that they said a few years ago that it would actually help by blocking the hole in the ozone!  Those links you gave are very interesting.  It seems that no matter what the viewpoint on global warming, everyone's focusing on it and trying to sound like an authority.

Belljar, I was overly cynical in my response to your post.  I felt that you were blythely remarking about topics that are not overly important to you or that you might think there is nothing to be done about.  I, on the other hand, feel that it is very important to expose a lie or misinformation when one is found (be it in the media or elsewhere) because it raises the overall awareness of our current earthly situation.  My attitude towards you was flip and dry, and I apologize.  We just view things differently.

Sounds like the perfect place for a vacation home... wonder how much they'll be selling lots for... but wait, is that before or after the poles shift because the technology they use will disrupt the delicate geomagnetic balance of the planet?

Telling us?  What have they told us?  And if we think we're victims then *shrug* it must be so, eh?  What law of one concept?... In the Sci-Fi show Stargate Atlantis, they discover an alien/Atlantean outpost with a "super weapon" for defending the planet under a mile of ice over the Antarctic!. This is how the "Atlantis" spin-off of the original Stargate series begins. One episode in the original series involves the team being diverted to another earth Stargate that is buried under snow in the Arctic! I've found many clues in those shows, and the Arctic is a repeating theme.

Then like pinky observed there was even an X-files episode about Arctic ice core samples containing an unknown Silicone virus or something, that made the people hyper-paranoid and very ill.

I agree that it's probably a part of the larger agenda.  And the reason Democrats are now pushing this agenda is because the Republican agenda of war (fight the "terrorists") has already run its course.  They need to gain control over the people again by using a completely different tactic.  Environment, in this case.  The control they gained over "the threat of terrorism" is restriction of how and where people travel and what they take with them, restriction of private information exchanged, restriction of certain inherent freedoms and privacy...all in the name of "safety".  Now, with the environmental changes, they're going to play the same "safety" card, except now they are going to restrict the type and quality of food and beverages, medication, technologies we consume, also how and where we are allowed to travel, etc... everything that allows us our personal freedom...again, all in the name of "safety".  They're going for total control over all of our freedom.  The end game itself remains the same, it's just the rules/routes that they change along the way. 

Belljar, one thing struck me when you said earlier that they taught you in school that Antarctica had been thawed before.  And to me (unless I misunderstood you), it sounded like you really didn't find any of it important in the least bit.  Ho-hum... so what, it's happened before, right?  So why make a big deal of it?  Well, the reason for it is because the last time Antarctica was without ice was when dinosaurs roamed this planet.  There is going to be a massive scramble to "claim" this land... It literally IS a goldmine of biodiversity, as well as geodiversity.  The land under the glacier contains all sorts of resources and information.  There is probably a large amount of oil there, as well as archaeological finds (skeletons of all sorts of animals, dinosaurs, and maybe even some things TPTB don't want "getting out").  As far as "modern humanity" is concerned, that continent is "virgin" and all the world leaders are lining up for a chance to exploit its assets.  Another thing that's going to be defrosting are all the bacteria and viruses... the world hasn't been exposed to this for millions of years.  It's possible that the bird flu is gonna look like the sniffles compared to what might be lurking there.  I remember reading about a couple of scientific expeditions that were going on at the south pole around 2004-2005, and the scientists and their teams had to be emergency medi-vaced out of there becuase they all fell violently ill and were incapable of even making it to the washroom by themselves.  It was never reported what they were exactly looking for in their research, but the illness was something that none of them expected.  It's possible that it came from some kind of ice core sample or maybe a new species of animal or something.  I don't know, but I remember it sounded very much like something from an X-Files episode at the time!

What I can't understand is why TPTB are drooling over Antarctica when they must know it's a total catch-22.  By the time it defrosts, they're not going to be able to enjoy its treasures because the rest of the world is going to be in utter turmoil.  The amount of fresh water that would enter our oceans from the Antarctic glaciers melting would stop the ocean belts and wreak havok on the world's weather patterns, not to mention the flooding of some coastal areas due to rise in ocean level.  TPTB must be absolutely psychotic, but then again, I suppose we already knew that for a long time.  On the other hand, I think they're even more obsessed with finding answers than most of us are, and they might just believe that there is something buried underneath those glaciers that will bring them some other form of enlightenment or knowledge.  I don't think they're going to find what they expect, though.

Worldbridger, thanks for sharing that information.  It's very helpful to hear the same news from another perspective of the event.  I  do remember here in the states, around 1999 and onward, there was a lot of complaining and talk of the increased "smog" in California, especially in southern California.  I now wonder if this wasn't in a large part due to the dust plumes that came across the ocean.  Maybe someone who lived in California during that time would remember the news (if any) about either the smog and/or dust?

The media has always been a tool for manipulating the public, but lately it seems that they're getting sloppy and stupid.  I wonder if that's part of the plan or if it's just a manifestation of the mass confusion that's currently gripping our species.

Ok, we are having our life with some personal habit/agenda/timing (like going to work, coming back to home in small cycle - having children, grandchildren in middle cycle - founding cultures, countries, nations in big cycle) but there is totally different agenda/time cycle for the planet itself and also some other beings in the universe. The planet itself or these advanced beings do not interest in our small or big cycles/timing, they look to their own business. Now comes a nexus time, a "knot" in 3D view. The planet has FINISHED it's choice in one level and now it's time for us to observe the RESULTS in 3D. That's also what we now as destiny. A cycle is finished in higher levels and it's time for us to experience it now. Some may also call this judgement day (pure manipulation, imho). We'll see..

I'm left wondering why act like this is something that's just going to impact the climate now?  And why wasn't it considered "news-worthy" the first time they saw this happen and began monitoring it?  Is it a possible cover-story for some sort of soon-to-be chemtrail release?  A biological experiment on some of the population of California?  Or is it nothing, and they're once again just demonstrating their supreme ignorance, while wishing to impose the same state of mind in the rest of the population?  I hail this article (and many other similar ones that seem to be cropping up lately) with a big "WTF?"

Now I wonder why they're feeding the sheep--me in the past, to be honest!--this bit of media? Are the ptb trying to illicite a response or are they covering up another real news story? What else is going on right now? Is there a point to this story?
