i saw part of the movie "Perfume" last night, and found it remarkably connected that the 3 (will it ever be anything other than 3???!!) main parts of a perfume are called chords, as in musical notes.  and this correlates with aromas being of a certain vibratory nature.  like a song.  equating smell with sound and song, and vibratory frequency. thats how aroma therapy works.  changes states of vibration, molecularly effects.   there is a major key here involved with sound and lala, u r on it.  and sam, that link was really interesting.  reminds me of the mantras hummed by monks and such.  all to raise vibratory states, on SCALE which involves heights and so forth, rankings on levels.  so much meaning and application to that.  it is all connected and synthesized.   of course.

I would like to resurrect this thread on sound.

I have had a voice print made with a sound recording device that tells you all what is missing from your voice in terms of supplements, which are then associated to emotional qualities. For instance, they might say you have Vit C missing and it is related to this childhood issue or something like that. From these prints you can have a custom made sound recording made to play on a special tone-box, the precursor of which is the SMAD, which some of you have no doubt heard of.
I'm afraid that at this point I can't really get into the whole thing and I 'm not sure why. I think that the future is in sound and resonance work, but this whole emphasis on scientific and medical research with sound leaves me cold, also the whole thing being tied in with supplements and all of that. Maybe it is because everything is always funnelled into New Age healing paradigms and I'm wondering if there is a way of working with sound that is purely to raise vibration and stay there while keeping out all of the interfering frequencies like microwaves and so forth that we are being bombarded with.
There are a lot of vibrational medicine machines around and so forth and I can't tell one from the other, although I've had some good remote healings, it seems. Please keep writing about your work on this thread it is very important.-lala

Sound is more[ as you know ] than a symbol in this account.  We are replicas of God , made in that same image with the same power to create/preserve/destroy. We are endowed by the creator with the power to conciously direct the light energy [ spiritual sound] which constantly flows through us from the source.  In it's most potent form, that endowment to create is the power of the SPOKEN WORD.

The spoken Word [ like thoughts and feelings ] has the power to coalesce energy into form.  Atoms, cells and electrons OBEY your Word. [ whether that Word is spoken or in thought or feeling ]  We are performing this creative process continuously even though it is not conciously realised by most people.  So we cannot work at cross purposes to the will of our I AM Presence.  It can only bring suffering to us and thwart the divine purpose of our own lives.

BE who you are [ I AM ] and speak the Word into every appearance of evil within and without.  We can recreate ourselves by the power of the Spoken Word.  Our Spiritual God parents create by the power of the Word and so do we.

Thanks for that work!  I AM working on something very similar concerning the Logos/archetypes of duality/universal symbols and initially thought you had beaten me to it, but it's rather another branch of the same tree.  Something I have yet to truly ponder and factor in to my own work is the symbolic role of sound in creation.  Yet another tasty piece of puzzle-cake to "digest". Thanks again!

As nearly always,  i write from my understanding of a subject without much reference to sources.  I am widely read in spiritual subjects but cannot always produce for NR'ers a concise reference for a particular idea,  but i do so where i can.
Like anyone I have a fairly long memory for ideas that have penetrated me deeply and which have caused me to  experiment or to change myself.  If you asked anyone what or who have been their greatest influences you would get replies ranging from 'rock stars' to 'Jesus' .... or 'both' in the case of John Lennon.   ...   and they could rattle off a thousand  words without drawing breath.

So if i've found anything of value in anything it's because i have experimented and found the truth of it for myself.
I mention this because for over 18 years i have had personal experience in the subjects which i write about. 
That is about when i discovered for real that i have a spiritual self but i had been searching a while before that.

In my search i found a few 'things' which my spirit confirmed for me were of spiritual origin. [ ie. things which to me were not merely 'relatively good'].   I realise that everything in the world appears relative because there is always someone who will say there is a thing different from it,  or a thing better than it,  or a thing worse than it.  That is the nature of seeing things relatively.  To each their own judgement.
But although a paint brush is not ultimately real, you sure can paint a picture with it.  So the spirit can and will confirm the use of a good tool when one is found or,  if not immediately, at least when it's perservered with.   

Which brings me to the subject of a very useful technology  "The Science of the Spoken Word." .... yes technology ... and dont laugh... [ "techne" from the greek word meaning "ART" and  "logos"  meaning "WORD"]
Technology= THE 'ART' OF THE 'WORD'.
   
If you will stay with me for a tiny scripture lesson i need to make a very important correlation [known by some of you] between the "Divine Us"... ie.   The "Elohim" who are the creators in the Genesis account..... and little old  "us" ... you and me.

It is written 5000 years ago in the Vedic scriptures of the east :

                                                                                    "In the beginning was the Word
                                                                                     and the Word was with Brahman
                                                                                     and the Word was Brahman"

The bible has  John writing in the new testament:  [John 1] :

                                                                                     "In the beginning was the Word
                                                                                       and the Word was with God
                                                                                       and the word was God
                                                                                       He was in the beginning with God
                                                                                       All things were made through him and
                                                                                       without him was not anything made that was made

Where did John get that?  Most probably from Jesus who , between the age of 13 to 30,  travelled to India, Nepal and Thibet.   Nothing is written in the bible about Jesus for those 17 years. It has been completely edited out of the bible texts.  Now why would anyone do that?   Couldn't have anyone thinking Jesus taught a universal spiritual message about our oneness now could we?  No no, that just wouldn't do.  "We've got the crusades to enjoy and the cathars to kill... and good christian citizens to protect in the name of God from those nasty ignorant heathens..."     ... Back to those pesky, 'too' similar scriptures above....   Simply put,  spiritual conciousness is the essence and origin of "all things"... the trees,  the stars, you and me.
All things were brought into being by an act of will and by the power of SOUND.

                                        In  Genesis 1 GOD  "SAYS"    " Let there be Light"
                                                                                      " Let there be a firmament"
                                                                                      " Let the waters... be gathered..."  etc

The power of the Word  [Sound] is used by the creator in the Genesis account as a creative fiat.  Also the creation is sustained in/by that Word by the pure force of the willpower of the creator.  I am talking about the basic material platform created by Elohim for the spiritual evolution of our souls.  In order to preserve/sustain the creation, a flow of energy proceeds from the creator into matter and back again to spirit in a prescribed rythym. That energy is sound,  that sound is energy.    So this describes two aspects of the creator as Brahma and Vishnu, creator and preserver. [the father and the son]. 

The third aspect of the triune God,  Shiva is depicted in Hinduism as the 'destroyer'.  It is the same holy spirit depicted in the bible as   "our God is a consuming fire"  [a high frequency energy consuming/destroying all vibrations of sound which vibrate at lower frequencies than itself].   This truth is pregnant with possibility to us on an individual level because those lower frequency energies reside in ourselves and everywhere.  Planet earth itself is heavily burdened by negative energy as is the astral and mental planes above it.

The implications of this consuming power for sentient beings like ourselves is very real and personal.  It can come to us as a loving teacher to separate the real spiritual vibrations within us from the unreal pseudo-self vibrations of the lower ego.... But for now i digress again...

What is the current relevance of this Genesis creation account to us?

                                                      Genesis 1[26]          " Let us make man [ifest Us] in Our Image...
                                                                                      " after OUR likeness"
                                                                                    .." So God created man in his own Image"
                                                                                      " In the image of God he created him,
                                                                                      " Male and Female he created them."

What a tough time the translators must have had with that passage!   This : 'Our Image"... " OUR likeness"... is a plural term for God.  Very difficult for fundamentalists to deny that God,  our spiritual parent is both Mother and Father now isn't it?  Yes the One God is both male and female... But this is not the only point to make about the creation of ourselves in higher planes.
  The "man" that God made is not the biological entity you see in your bathroom mirror. [  I read lyra's thread about the odd looking biped looking back at her in the mirror.  She saw her body for what it was and i know exactly what she means. ]  No offence sister.     Biological "man" may well have had a little help from his bony "friends".

No,  it is the essential You i am referring to.  A drop from the ocean....a replica of God conciousness made in the image and likeness of God... With the same wonderful design with 7 major chakras and 5 minor....and with INDIVIDUALITY and FREEWILL to CREATE AS GOD CREATES  by THE POWER OF SOUND.

As you know, since the creation of ourselves we have all fallen into a lower state of awareness... duality conciousness.      But how can we practically rise again.  Is it enough to be "loving" and to pull our attention from the evil world?

Fast forward to Moses.

Whether the Moses story happened [ as recently as alleged or not] doesn't matter.  Even in allegory it is powerful and revealing.  Try and suspend your attitudes about the Isrealites for a moment and imagine the moses story is about you and me.  Here's why.     At Exodus 3:13  God has commanded Moses to set his people free from the Egyptian Pharoah.  See the Moses persona in this story as the person of  the mediator within yourself... The person of your christ Self right here and now...        Moses is asking God...  " Who shall i say sent me when the people ask your NAME.. what shall i say to them?"

God says to Moses " I AM who I AM "   'tell them'  " I AM  has sent me to you..."
                                                                                "this is my NAME forever and thus I AM
                                                                                 to be remembered unto all generations"   

This eternal gem,  the name of God " I AM" , was given to Moses in order to free  the 'pharoah's' captives back then and for all time.  The authority of the name I AM and the mediator in the person of Moses then [ and your christ Self now] empowers us again to 'set the captives free' spiritually.  [ like the isrealites of old our souls are still captive to the 'fleshpots of Egypt'... [esoterically speaking 'Egypt' is the lower self.]   The esoteric 'captives' are also forcefields of negative energy locked in our own subconcious... otherwise known as the 'dweller on the threshold', the human ego, the shadow self,  etc....

But here's the thing, just in case anyone still thinks the story tries to portray that God was simply, exclusively outside of Moses.   God gave moses the law to bring a semblance of order to chaos.  As you might know the commandments were given for a very "stiffed necked" generation.  But among those commandments was quite a revealing pearl :

" Thou shalt not use the Lord's NAME in vain "     What name was that?     I AM.   They had been given it.  How could one use the name I AM vainly?   And how could it matter?   

Try these statements for starters...  I AM sick
                                                          I AM poor
                                                          I AM stupid
                                                          I AM ugly
                                                          I AM insignificant
                                                          I AM a loser

You see,  when we use the name of God as it was meant to be used,  the only way it can be used,  in the first person , we speak an untruth when we follow the name I AM with a 'negative' quality.  The name is used vainly because your inner God self , I AM,  is none of those negative qualities. I AM is our God free being at inner levels of our divine selfhood..   All we are doing is giving power to the negative chatter in ourselves in the same way that condemnation of others can cause them to think ill of themselves and hurl it back at us.  None of us are totally free of it.

The name I AM was given to empower us to rise into the conciousness of the inner I AM Presence by affirming the true nature of that Presence which is the true nature of our own being.
 
                                   eg.     I AM healthy... I AM whole...I AM the manifest perfection of being.
                                             I AM the fulfillment of all my needs.   I AM the light of the heart.
                                           . I AM that I AM...

By making positive I AM affirmations we draw the the individual I AM Presence  closer to our concious awareness. The throat chakra is naturally engaged and is activated by the truth spoken which gives it more power. The light from our I AM Presence is released into the 'cup' of each word.  That high frequency light energy has the power to transmute the seeds of karma... ie. the negative energies in our subconcious.  Because the action of transmutation begins at subconcious levels, it's action may not be felt while giving I AM affirmations at first.  But practice primes the pump.  This is not trite.  This is more than positive thinking with the lower mental body alone.

By centering in the heart and by the consistent daily use of the name I AM in giving positive affirmations it causes a meshing of the divine mind with the normal mental and emotional awareness.  This communion with higher conciousness gives a renewal to the mind that you can take with you into the street.  It helps to produce an expansion of the aura which can seal the negative energy in your own subconcious and better protect you from the' incoming' negative energies in your world.  Keeping emotional harmony is the key to sustaining the light in your chakras and your aura.

Somehow some people are able to blithely dismiss all of this with a flick of the wrist and a mutter about "new age aura chakra blah blather.."  I suppose the simpsons have never lit a candle in their home or said anything out of the ordinary like... 'I AM the resurrection and the life'  so why should anyone else right?  I dont watch the simpsons so maybe they have done their obligatory mockery of things spiritually valuable  i dont know.

When we use the name I AM we are speaking a divine truth.  We are really saying "GOD IN ME IS".  It is an affirmation of God's being within yourself.   Nobody can deny it !   But outside of christian churches the negs don't bother denying the inner God anymore and they've given up killing you for it.  No really, it's been a good cuppla centuries since they tortured anyone to death for a belief like that.  Nowadays they just flood the airwaves with similar sounding 'truth' with enough of a twist to make themselves look silly and you with them.  I really don't mind anymore looking like a fool for Christ, but not for them.
Anyway...

Moses said ..." I have said YE ARE GODS and all sons of the most high"

I AM is the first affirmation of being.   After that statement, whatever you follow it with HAS POWER.

Yes more power than other words although all words have power to create good or evil.  It says somewhere in scripture that " the tongue is the issue of life and death "
Also from memory Jesus said something like " It is not what goes into the mouth that defiles a man but what comes out."   Obviously Jesus has never had a quater pounder at Mcdonalds.

By the time Jesus came 2000 years ago almost nobody had any idea what spiritual keys were in their scriptures.  Least of all the scribes, the pharisees and priests.  They fancied themselves as lovers of Moses and the Law.   That is why Jesus rebuked them so often saying:

"Woe unto you [karma unto you] lawyers,  for you have taken away the key of [self] knowlege. You would not enter in yourselves  [to the 'kingdom of God within you]  and those that would  [enter in]  you hindered."

Those priests, addicted to the letter of the law and with the ignorant masses under their control, would not give up their external God, their false doctrines and their power.  They preferred their dead letter religion to the living Word I AM within themselves.  When the Christ confronted them in person with the truths which they would not hear in their own hearts they plotted his death rather than be taught any truth themselves or allow their 'cattle' to be awakened.  They knew what Jesus' word meant to their hold over the people.  They knew the true implications of Jesus message " The kingdom of God is within you."  The people would not need the outer religion, they would not need the church or the priests.  Imagine the panic of the religious "authorities".   Jesus was just too subversive to the power elite and was murdered because of it.  It didn't have to be that way.

A Christed being appeared in the midst of the jewish synagogue contending their law with them ... pointing out their error and hippocracy.  Jesus even confirmed Moses statement " Ye are Gods" and among the people he made I AM affirmations in the power of the Word:

       "I AM the way"
       "I AM the truth"
       "I AM the life"
       "No man goes to the Father [the individual I AM Presence] but by me" [ the universal Christ within all ]. 

As the mediator for the people who had lost the thread of contact with their I AM Presence Jesus broke the 'Universal Body' of the Christ conciousness for all so that we can find it within and through that Christ within us, re-establish contact with the I AM Presence.
He said:
             "I AM the open door which no man can shut"

Jesus knew the name of power and where it was located. "The kingdom of God is within you."  And he demonstrated it with his own I AM affirmations.

But we know what happened to him and i know that his true teaching has been distorted beyond recognition for centuries to this day, by so called 'christian churches'.  They have produced a simplistic formula for 'salvation' in the place of the true path which Jesus himself walked and demonstrated for us.
Like the jews 2000 yrs ago christian clergy  think they've got Jesus under control so that he couldn't  say or do anything outside their simplistic formulas and their dead letter beliefs.  If he reappeared in the flesh today they would call him the devil , just like the jews did, if he didn't agree with them.  Jesus is not the dead idol that they prefer and he is not the persona non-grata that some academics prefer.  He is real and very much alive now.

He is not sananda and he is not a 'space brother'.  If Jesus' mission was not so vital to us today there wouldn't be so many crackpots and imposters impersonating him and the true lineage of Ascended masters.   Just like christianity's watered down version of Jesus' true teaching [on the path of overcoming the human ego] the plethora of Jesus and ascended master imposters is calculated by the negs to leave you with a very bad taste in your mouth about the whole thing.

By presenting a false image, they are there to muddy the waters and to assassinate true character as always [by being a poor copy of the real Mcoy] ... But their target is not the masters really is it?  Their target is you and me so that we wouldn't go near the masters with a barge pole.  Free will must reign sovereign.

Lastly, here is a short excerpt from the Master 'M',  known for the last 130 odd years as EL Morya,  from his book written through his emanuensis Elizabeth Clare Prophet, titled  " The Chela and the Path"  [summit publications]

He quotes the bible passage on the subject of creative power i was talking about earlier...

"Thow shalt decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee" 
                                                             
He goes on...

        " Every moment each man or woman creates their own future.
           Life, which is a God-given gift, continually acts to filfill man's unspoken desires.
           Human thoughts and feelings are decrees in themseves and do produce with
           certainty and justice after their kind, whether joy or sorrow. Although they live
           in a sea of wisdom, most men create in ignorance. Their lives are therefore a
           mixture of both good and bad, a chaotic outpicturing of the so called wheel of fortune. "

The WORD is the sacred sound [ spiritual energy ] flowing through us in every moment from our I AM Presence into our heart and mind.  Why not impress that energy flow with words of truth? ... instead of words of limitation? When we speak words we amplify thoughts and feelings.  When we speak the name I AM [ the inner God ] we open our heart and mind to the flow of love from spirit into matter.  I am adding a decree which i give myself.
Center in the heart when repeating it and imagine your radiant individual I AM Presence sounding the word through you.
