A true hanging would have a large audience to witness, otherwise why not just apply a lethal injection or likewise?

Not that anyone has ever truly died anyway, only relative to us.

It seems to me Saddam is better than dead and wishing death was reality.

I had a vision a while back of Saddam laughing and talking with other world leaders (incl. Bush) about what a great joke they had just played on the entire world (the media was in on the whole thing too). Boy when they find out they're gonna be pissed. But like Mom always said "You'll laugh about when you get older". It's kind of like the ending of "The Spy Who Shagged Me" you know, Austin Powers. Where Austin, Dr. Evil, Mini-Me, and all the other characters are watching a movie in the theater about themselves fighting each other (starring Tom Cruise no less) and are all laughing about it together. Of course Dr. Evil and Austin Powers are both the same person (Mike Meyers), also interestingly enough.

You can kill off a character, but the actor will live on.

The news and media has such fake, 3 ring circus feel to it over the past few years that I don't believe anything anymore.   Nothing, nada, none of it.  It's kind of a weird feeling, but good.  But on a bad day I get grumpy at the circus and lies and want to scream from a rooftop about the madness, wondering when we can all wake up from this and why don't others see it.

The Russians have a term for it; Pravda, which means "official truth". Some Russian immigrants here in New York joke about reading articles in the newspaper Pravda when they were in Russia and how everyone would try to figure out which part of the stories were true and which were changed to fit government requirements. I believe that eventually folks in the west will realize that its the same here. No point in getting upset about it.

While the Saddam who was shown in court could have been the real Saddam, I don't get the feeling that he was.

While there were similarities in physical appearance, the way he talked and acted, and the overall feel of him as a person did not seem to be at all the same.

Now the media is filled with articles on Saddam and his execution - what if it wasn't true?  What if the real Saddam was not just executed? What if it is a fabrication? 

This leads to the question of how much of our media "reality" is fabricated? 

Maybe each of us is in our own "Truman Shows" and there are people/entities who are watching us and wondering when we are going to wake up?

Of course it was fake.     Seriously.  There's no way in hell that was the same Saddam who ran Iraq for all those years. 

The rule of thumb should be - the more it's paraded around in the media, crammed down our throats, the more "3 ring circus" it comes across, the more guarantee you have that it's not real.

But whether this is Saddam or not, I wonder who will bring Dubya to justice?  And what would he propose this justice to be?

Killing people who killed people to show that killing is wrong? Where does it end?

That's not him. I can tell you my 'higher self' has been very clear with me on that. It's just another character leaving the show but the actor lives on.

Same feeling here, Hussein was long gone before the first bomb dropped. This is a double or perhaps a clone, but not the "original".
