Oh, it was even worse where we saw The Fountain. In our screening, we had a preview for the horror movie "The Hitcher." Guess they've remade it, since horror movies have made a comeback over the past 5 years.

But can you imagine? A preview for a horror movie...before The Fountain? I'd go as far as to say that between the 10 minutes of nonsensical pre-show commercials, and then The Hitcher, it altered my mood significantly. I have a very :mad::mad::mad::mad: GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR mindset to the whole horror movie extravaganza that's going on. So consequently, I was already irritated before The Fountain began. I was not in the right frame of mind, AT all.

I was graced with the oportunity to see The Fountain last night with two good friends. It was nothing short of one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. With very clear conepts with some very buddhist themes. It was amazing to experience, and I reccomend it.

However..

One of the previews before this movie was The Number 23.

Which.. frankly, was very odd to see as a movie theme. Though I found it interesting that a preview for a thriller based on repeating number string phenominon with a fairly big actor came up right before a more lighthearted and soulful journey that was The Fountain. I've noticed this before.. where a very clear and mind opening movie such as TF is juxtaposed with a preivew for something that is either it's diametric opposite such as this, or something just as twisted and slightly more crowd pleasing than the film you are about to see.

I'm not even going to mention the Snakes on a motherf*cking Military Iraq Doctor.. something movie preview. That's like the anti-commie commercials of McCarthy era. You just gotta put up with that crap. n.n;
