Empath, by the way I was relaying this story you told to another friend of mine who said that a few years back his girlfriend met a similar woman - in a casino - of all places. lol The woman she met was what we call a 'seer' or a person through struggle during their lifetime, evolved themselves beyond human life, and 'graduated' to another layer of existence. Every once in a while, one will slip through and interact with someone they have their eye on.

These seers usual choose to guide humans that have a chance to make this evolutionary jump during their lifetimes.

I have only met the seers in dreaming, as far as I know. The one that I met was a beautiful, dark skinned woman, who grabbed my hand at a party and started guiding me around. The second she touched me I became lucid in the dream. They obviously have so much personal power that all it takes is a touch to completely wake you up.

The grid of glowing lines she saw are the lines of the world, same as Castaneda wrote. Also, if you check out some of Alex Grey's artwork, he depicts the same energy lines quite well.

I've seen them during deep meditations, and also on ayahuasca. They are beautiful, like shooting stars streaking across the sky all around you.

Can I see some links of the people you mentioned verifying this phenomenon I'm very interested in it and Some links on the seers? Also specifically when you say that these seers made an evolutionary jump during their lifetimes do you mean their lifetimes here in 3D land as a physical being and how exactly does this evolutionary process take place when they graduate to another layer of existence because if they are physical beings during this process what happends to their own bodies as in do they just dissapear or do they actually have to experience death as we know it, where as we could identify a physical body of theirs that may have coincidently died in a car crash?

I find this to be a profound insight. Maybe the experience of seeing the person in the casino is the waking life/physical equivalent of what happened in that dream.

Lyra that's pretty fascinating stuff.  Could it be possible that here in 3D we live in a more-closer-to-the-Matrix-movie than we ever thought version of reality?  I know it sounds crazy... I'm reminded also of the movie 13th floor, when I believe even after the guy (thought) he woke up, he drove to the edge of 'reality' and saw a big matrix grid. 

Stuart Wilde in his Journeys Beyond Enlightenment audio+booklet says that a sort of hyperdimensional version of reality travels 90deg perpendicular to the "forward" motion of light, in what he calles a "transverse wave"... I know it sounds out there to suggest such a possibility, but maybe this has something to do with the 'grid' phenomenon...?

Several years ago I had experiences with what I called the "white laser lines."   I had no flipping clue back then in 2000 what they were, as I hadn't researched anything yet.   After the fact it was brought to my attention that Carlos Castaneda mentions something similar to what I experienced, so, I got a little closer to some possible answers.  For me they started when I was roommating with my brother in an apartment that became infested with paranormal happenings.  The paranormal stuff started in his room, of course, because of who he was, and spread out.  My room was the last room in the apartment to go down, but it held on and kept clean for six months before it fell.     And when it did, one of the phenomenon that became a "normal" presense in my room, 24/7, were the white laser lines.   When it first started it was sparse, but by the end they nearly filled the room.    They were skinny, white laser looking lines that shot down silently from the ceiling, then moved to side.  Down, side, down, side....I could even stand or sit in the middle of this "light show" of sorts and watch them pass through my body all around me.   I normally just tried to tune them out and not look, because it really was a bit......strange.  Blobs of entities floating around, human ghosts sitting on the edge of my bed and throwing the toilet tank lid around, and pinpoints of sparklie lights I could grasp and understand, but....white laser lines?   I mean, what IS that, you know?

Later my tentative theory had to do with holographic projections.  That's one possibility.  The other is whatever Castaneda talked about, which I don't remember off the top of my head, but I think he talks about white gridlines in "The Active Side of Infinity."  Will have to double check on that later.

Winning $25,000 isn't necessarily bad . 

However, I would be a bit wary for these reasons.  Initiates and/or those trained in the dark arts such as satanists pride themselves in their ability to conduct electricity.  An ex-friend used to go to 'triple-6' parties and said that some people there could consciously 'zap' you upon touching or near-touching.  Bill Clinton also used to jokingly brag that he was a 'conductor of electricity' (according to cathy o'brien). 

Another thing to remember is... which side the powers that be are on... the ones that control this matrix and such concepts such as money.  It certainly isn't the divine...

I'm not saying that it's necessarily a dark person, as not all initiates are of the dark agenda, but the woman was not necessarily an angel either.

All of your answers are very interesting. She called me in a panic after it happened, and I told her I knew a forum where the story would be considered w/ respect, and insight/wisdom offered...

One detail I omitted that seems germane to visavis's comment is that my friend's cousin has a gambling addiction. I told my friend that winning $25k isn't exactly the best thing to happen to a compulsive gambler; it entrenches the addiction deeper. So I am not sure that the strange woman is of a spiritual high order, either.

The luminous grid she described sounds like the Star Trek Holo-deck in its inert state.
Certainly casinos are contrived imitations of reality!

Hmm, sounds like some weird outside manipulation of the persons reality to alter their life for some reason. If the persons life was an 'open book' then maybe seeing the white matrix was a perception of the outside manipulator 'reading' the life book in a sense to confirm or deny the manipulation effect which was about to take place.

She went to the casino in Atlantic City with her cousin.
She sat at a high roller blackjack table. She introduced herself to the woman (described as looking like a movie star like Eva Longoria) next to her.
The woman said her name and then said as they shook hands, "I KNOW who you are."
When they shook hands, my friend felt a huge shock/jolt through her entire body and she could clearly see a glowing white grid/matrix all around. She felt as if her entire life and soul were an open book.

The strange woman left with two male associates, and my friend played. The woman came back and said good night to my friend. My friend felt exhausted and impelled to leave, so she told her cousin that they had to go to their room by midnight. She took some money out of the ATM and they returned to their room.

The next day as they were leaving, her cousin put some money into a progressive machine and won $25,000.

Does anyone have a clue what went on? Who/what is this woman? What happened when my friend saw the matrix?
