Thanks for this fascinating information, Barefoot Doc! I hadn't heard of Iridology before, but after reading some more about it, it makes perfectly logical sense to me. Looking at the eyes of people whom I've known for a long time, and taking into consideration what their health has been like, it does all match up!

Of course, I had to run to the mirror and shine a flashlight into my eyes to look at my own irises... (I'm still a bit blinded...heh) My eyes are even less remarkable (fewer striations) than the picture on the left (in your post), and I do have very resilient health. The next time I'm ill, I'll have to check my irises to see if there are subtle changes in the texture.

Very cool and usefull information, Barefoot Doc! Keep it coming!

Thank you so much for this link, Barefoot Doc.

I was reading through it early this morning, trying to determine whether the variations of the color of my iris were normal. I never did quite nail that down, but in the process I picked up enough information relating to myself that I pretty much can confirm the validity of iridology, for myself anyway.

I find markings on my iris that indicate toxicity in my lungs and bronchial tubes... bingo! I HAVE been smoking way too much lately and this reminds me that I need to cut WAY back on it.

Even more interesting, my iris shows lymphatic blockage on my lower left side, corresponding with some tenderness in my left groin that I thought was muscular strain. Wow, I think I was wrong and iridology is right.

I've wondered about iridology for a long while, but I see good reason to think there is really something valuable in it. Thanks again!

I've had issues with sluggish digestion. In the past I've just attributed this to eating large quantities of processed foods, but even now that I've changed my diet to whole foods it still tends to be an issue. I tend to get sick a lot and this was especially true in my youth. In fact I noticed that as I was having regular bowel movements for awhile, recently that stopped and that seemed to lead to a bad cold/flu that I've been fighting with the last few days. Zapping didn't seem to help much, so I concluded it must be something in the bowels that's keeping me sick. Yesterday I started taking some bowel cleansing herbs and it seems to be helping. Now I just have a sore throat to deal with. I also have a high constitutional type as you mentioned above.

I also suspect this is having an effect on my liver since I have become much more sensitive to chemicals recently. I want to try an liver flush, but I'm worried that the sluggish digestion prevent any possitive effect from this. You probably didn't want to know all of this, but it's just another testiment to iridology. I'll bring this up with the local gal that does eye readings and see if she confirms.

As far as the biofeedback devices, I've done a bit of studdying on them recently. It's still difficult to tell how they work since most systems are proprietary. They seem to use a couple of different underappreciated measurable effects. One has to do with random number generators and the interpretation of random number data, similar to the global consciousness project. http://noosphere.princeton.edu/ Actually the device has little to do with generating random numbers. Random number generators rely on background l/f noise in an electrical circuit element (a capacitor or resistor could be used for instance), where this signal is stored and interpreted by a device. Supposedly what some researchers have discovered is that these random number generators seem to fluctuate just given the presense or thoughts of a person nearby. What this means is that these devices are picking up the ambient scalar electric activity of an individual's aura or biofield. This is a scalar field that does effect electronics in subtle ways. Unfortunately, or unfortunately for medical devices, I believe a person's intent can also influcence the aura and may give misreadings. That might be why a number of "scans" with these devices may be necessary to really get to the root of health conditions.

Some of these devices also utilize skin resistance testing, which is essentially measuring the same biofield, only at the skin level instead of the ambient level. There's some controversy over which is a better method. Both ways are subject to scalar "noise" from earthly and cosmic factors. Untill all these factors are known and understood it might not be possible to get a truely accurate reading. Maybe there are ways of filtering noise that the inventors of these devices have come up with? I'm not sure.

The trick with these devices is to map the field readings to a set of data that correspond with health conditions based on known factors in individuals. From what I understand, this truely determines the usefulness of these devices. Since some factors may be overlooked or missing from such devices, you might not catch everything. Recommending a proper course of treatment can also be difficult to determine.

Devices such as the f-scan2 and the Clark synchrometer look for scalar resonances in the human biofield. This can be useful for pinpointing a specific virus, baterium, parasite, toxin in the body and possibly the tissue where this is located. Typically the remedy is to "zap" or hit the pathogen at it's resonance frequency to kill it. It seems like this rarely eliminates the problem and just leads to a program of constant zapping. Sometimes just eliminating the offending toxins is enough to correct the problem, but not always. They don't take into account the biofield factors that led to the infection in the first place which need to take place before any healing starts. Otherwise you're just getting temporary relief.

Many natural therapies can effect an individual at the biofield level. Homeopathy, reiki, hypnotism, accupunture and many others can all do this. But, unless they're utilizing some feedback technique such as one of these electronic devices, radionics or something similar, it's still a hit and miss approach. It's still much better that just utilizing chemical means (allopathy) because this usually leads to other biofield imbalances that can be worse than the original one.

Just my thoughts on the science behind these devices.

Ryan

The image on the right would be a hessian pattern, a type 5 on my chart.
Most psycopaths would also have an image closer to that than type 1.

Thats only very basic iridology but think although the authorities claim iridology is nonsence just think of the the info they could get by iris scans under the guise of security.
http://www.webnat.com/Irid/Constitution2.asp
