As for freezing, sometimes it happens to me. Staring off into nothing, not moving for minutes, my thoughts streaming inside me but with no real meaning. It's a detached, pleasant experience. The spell usually breaks when I seem to force myself to wake-up or when someone else wakes me up.

I've also seen another person in that state, but he was very drunk so that might explain it. He just sat in the chair for ages, just staring and the hand holding the drink somewhat awkwardly. He was probably on pot too, it was quite the party I attended so it might of happened.

Has ANYONE who was ever drunk, mushroomed out, or whatever sat stock still for fifteen minutes with their arm raised in an uncomfortable, bent, position holding an object with liquid in it (I'm assuming it was coffee---in a mug, anyway) without moving an inch? Doesn't the body usually relax? Or if it goes rigid, as with some form of paralysis problem with a medical condition, wouldn't the body go so rigid that it wouldn't be able to be holding a cup with liquid in it suspended at an uncomfortable angle in the air?  I mean, that wouldn't normally be possible, would it?

You know there is actually a condition that slipped my mind earlier but that does make a person do exactly what you witnessed. It is categorized as a type of schizophrenia wherin no new personality comes forth and the body is frozen motionless for a short time untill the personality returns at which time things return to normal - I'm not sure but the person may not even be aware of it happening.

This particular condition has been portrayed on an Outer Limits episode where the character behaves in exactly the manner you described: body frozen _exactly_ as it was (with arms in the air) for a short period before returning normal.

One possible idea I thought of that may or may not have been mentioned in the previous responses regarding a possible "explanation" (if there is any such thing in a weird a world as we live in these days)... you mentioned that opposite the frozen woman was her companion who not only kept yammering on, but with the way you put it, kept on having her part of what may have to her still been a two-party conversation.  Is my understanding correct on this?

If so, maybe from the yammering friend's perspective, the frozen woman was never frozen at all and was infact animated and eating and talking and such the whole time... and maybe even from the perspective of other people in the eatery, both the women were perfectly normal too.  If that's the case, maybe what you got was a general glitch in the matrix where the energy of you and your energetically-strong companion was intense enough that it didn't stay entirely contained, and within a small enough space (such as the eatery) was "radioactive" enough to cause matrix glitches like that one.

The "frozen" behavior may not actually have been a freeze from the perspective of the woman in question, but a visual artifact from your point of view if your two energies were fundamentally incompatible at that point in your shared timeline.  Her being frozen from your perspective could be interpreted as a matrix shield going up saying "your energy cannot interact with this woman at this time; she will be a statue to you, an artifice, until your energy level is returned to something compatible to her", maybe to protect her free will or whatnot.  And during the time she was frozen to you, from her perspective (and her friend's, who by not facing you and not being as exposed to your energy and not necessarily having the same free will constraints, never necessarily had to be frozen), her conversation was perfectly normal and everything was going fine... but the matrix barrier was up during that time such that the energy of your table would be subdued (perhaps even frozen to her) so that she could handle it.

To put it another way, you know how when your vibration is really high how it can affect electronics and such (like making street lights go on/off etc)?  Maybe you had the same radiating effect on this woman, and it wasn't compatible with her free will... so the matrix worked out a solution that would be very "weird" to you (because you're on a vibration level where you can handle weirdness; it'd be freaky but you can handle it), but that would be the extent of the "damage" and no free will violations would be caused.

At the very least, I'd think this event would be an indication that the frozen woman was infact ensouled rather than a robot/simulacrum of some kind, because if it was a robot then there'd be no need for the matrix do something freaky like that; the robot would just ignore you as there'd be no cause for energetic interaction.  But a real ensouled woman may have had a very real spiritual reason not to interact with you at that point in time, you know?

There's an old sci-fi story "Wine of the Dreamers" by MacDonald; a group of humans on another planet who were originally supposed to watch over us become degenerate and use the control machines to cause random people on Earth to commit violent acts for their own enjoyment. This was supposed to be the reason some people "go crazy" and commit horrific crimes. Hmm... too much real craziness to be caused by a few degenerates. Computer control?

Could humanity be genetically altered to allow the human body to function as a literal 'soul-window' _from_ an extradimensional space to this physical plane? It is said that those in 4D see us as if looking through a window. What if those 'windows' were the literal eyes of humanity themselves?

There are certainly some who would propose that, if we are living in a matrix, then there are some who can and do travel into any living human body at will . . .

I'm fairly certain that this has happened in my presence on two separate occasions.   In both instances I believe that some higher-dimensional/density entity temporarily took control of the individual I was speaking to at the time, for the sole purpose of ensuring that a violation of my free will did not occur.   One time, it was to give me important information regarding a decision I was about to make which had serious metaphysical consequences, and the second time it was to follow up and ask me a question: how did I interpret the first incident?  When I answered explaining my interpretation of the first event, the apperently-'controlled' person replied, "that's right -- and now THEY know that YOU KNOW,"  referring directly to the higher intelligences involved.

In each case the person involved did not seem to be aware they were being used and thought the words coming out of their mouths were their own idea.

So I am convinced for myself this can happen when it is deemed necessary in order to uphold higher laws of the universe that we may not necessarily be privy to know about.     From what I can tell the dark side also can use this power for negative purposes, but only after an individual human has voluntarily relinquished their free will.

Note to self: From now on, in any public place, I am going to be MUCH more careful to scan EVERYONE in the vicinity to see signs of Matrix behavior.  Just in case this is happening a lot more than I think. I tend to ignore people in public because, as an empath, it can be hard for me mixing with other people's energy if they're in crappy or chaotic vibration - so I pull my field in and tend to pretend I'm very small and invisible and do the non-engagement thing as much as possible. As part of this, I tend not to look around at the crowd very much. But now I'm wondering quite seriously....how many of them are Cybermen and Cyberwoman?  Seriously??????

Have you ever seen one of those British caricatures of someone drinking a proper cup of tea in the formal English way, and when they hold the teacup, their arm is kind of up in the air and the pinky is extended? Well, this woman's pinkie wasn't extended, but her elbow was up really high at an odd angle for lifting a drink.....so her elbow and arm weren't just slightly extended outside her body, they were really sticking out high and far at an angle that was unusual, like she had lifted her arm all the way up her body as she brought her mug close to her mouth. And in this case the mug wasn't quite near her mouth, it was sort of suspended in mid-air on its way to her mouth.  So imagine the arm and elbow stuck way out, the cup half-extended towards her mouth, and someone just frozen that way - for fifteen minutes - without her friend once looking at her or acknowledging what was happening.  I mean, it was seriously messed up!

And over the course of fifteen minutes there would usually be some BLINKING, but I didn't see any as I looked. At first when I watched this woman I was kind of doing it out of the corner of my eye. Then I got bolder and just sat there fully staring back in sort of a "Gee, what have we here, are you okay?" frame of mind, beaming genuine good intent towards the woman....and I watched very carefully. NO BLINKING while I was watching.

Now I wish I'd seen the exact moment when the woman "turned on" again. But unfortunately I wasn't looking at her in that exact moment. It could have been a couple of minutes, maybe two at most, that I missed. But right after that she was behaving normally, I could hear her talking with the other woman, no slurring of her voice, nothing weird or hyper or drugged out going on (that was obvious to me, anyway - unless I was missing something.)

And no, her dining companion didn't have cell phone ear buds on unless they were the size of tiny hearing aids or something, because her hair was pulled back and I could see her ears very well.  Keep in mind than the woman who was talking the whole time was probably less than six feet away, with her frozen friend sitting just a little farther back. The tables were pretty close.

It did cross my mind that they might have been responding to an energetic thing...which I can't take credit for. My honey was sitting with his back to the ladies (too bad, because I don't think he entirely believes my description of the weird stuff I saw, even with our extremely weird adventures that we've shared! .....and he's been doing some major clearing and meditating and extending his auric field lately, and I think a lot of times his field is still pretty far out and extended when we're out and about in a public place.  He's a gifted healer and energy sensitive who is WAY more powerful than me when it comes to directing healing energy through his hands - we joke that he must have been  a "bull shaman" in a past life because his own abilities came to life so quickly when he first developed a sincere interest in learning healing techniques. His field is so strong these days that he's unconsciously doing a lot of St. Francis of Assisi stuff with conjuring up animals that just magically appear and want to give him love, it's really funny and cute. Animals are a good litmus test for positive energy - even half feral cats come up to him and behave like tame old squoozy wuzzy pusscats around him lately.

I, on the other hand, have been a lazy slob when it comes to doing any major self-clearing or meditating for a couple of months - too obsessed with work and other stuff.  So it is entirely possible that his energy field was the one that was carrying a strong vibration that whacked the one woman out for a bit there.  When she unfroze, by the way, she seemed perfectly happy and in good spirits as she resumed her meal with the other woman.  Maybe she'd gotten some good energy?  Hope so!

When I observe people on the bus, at work, walking, biking or just sitting outside, although they may not seem aware or their actions are very predictable/mainstream, I still feel as though they have some sort of essence.  Although I do see the fear in some of them, and at times I see some simply stare into nothing, working something out in their heads.

I actually walked through the mall today, and just observed all the people, doing various things.  I was walking slowly looking around and everyone was moving very quickly, talking, buying, buying and buying stuff for christmas, but I didn't see very many smiles.  And then during the night time, the city sometimes it feels empty.  There are these huge vast empty parking lots with many city lights all over the place - which I think contribute to the Matrix theme to the west - and then the closed down stores which are just there for distractions and materialism.  Everything is concrete and even if there are trees it still doesn't have that natural feeling of nature.  So maybe in a way, since everyone is still playing the game that is set up for them, it does make sense that it could be 80%!

Seriously, sounds like a reboot of some kind.  Maybe they're still runing windows (win-doze).   I think the podmate would logically have programming which included explicit instructions to minimize causing any "scene", or even anybody to notice anything, in the event of a fellow pod-freeze. 

I think maybe my dream is right, and 80% of the population in fact are alien/pod/op/holographic/2d/robotic/soulless/reptilian/grey/meat popsicles/puppetry/plant life.  Haha, those last oneS I added just for good measure.

There is a particular disbelieving response wherein one might think you were simply being 'self-centered' or 'reading to far' - that the woman wasn't staring at you and the whole situation was your misunderstanding. I like to make a personal attempt to balance such 'knee-jerk' responses with the proportionate level of 'woo-woo' indulgence.

Because I've always wondered and even muse about the depths of control over 'humans' here and whether humanity is literally mere puppets for a higher power who can and does control the minds and bodily functions of any individual. Unused human brain portions and 'junk' DNA come to mind in argument of the potential for said puppetry. Are you sure she wasn't on a phone? Sometimes those earbuds can be small with a wire kinda like some matrix agent but you can't see it.

I've had this happen to me before. I was on drugs (cocaine) and probably took a pill like valium or something though I don't recall. I was also awake for more than one day. I had some confusion because I thought my friend had taken something or I had lost it. When I left the apartment to go home I got in my car and then froze and just sat there for about 15 - 25 minutes. It felt kinda like I was 'detatched' or 'turned off' thou I knew I _could_ move because I kept thinking about it, I was also thinking about how I wasn't moving and felt kinda stuck like I had lost time or had forgotten where I was or how I got there for a moment. The seemed to make me perplexed that I had somehow lost time or lost control. I'm pretty sure I sat in my car frozen like that for about 20 minutes. It was pretty weird.

Call me crazy, call me paranoid, but I truly believe that a good chunk of the population around us are not real people.  And I'm left wishing that this sort of thing would happen to me, because I'm at a point now in life where I'd get right up and wander on over to Frozen Woman and be all, "HI!!!!!!  HOW YA DOIN!!!!!!  HI!!!!!!!!!!" to see what happens.  Take out my camera, take a pic.   Which is probably why this sort of thing doesn't happen to me.    I'd be blowing the lid off the entire operation left and right.    haha  It's too bad too.  It would be so much fun.

On a side note.  I've been noticing a lot more people with cell phones these days, mostly talking on the bus.  Although the age range is more near the younger technological generation.
