Ganesh Particle

This simply understanding has alleviated so many background fears and concerns of mine about the direction of my country (the US), it's impossible to fully describe the relief I've gotten from it.  I'm sharing this here in the hopes that some others (especially those who've experienced the Ganesha phenomenon personally) will also get a sense of this relief.

The "understanding" is hard to convey in words, but here's the one-sentence wrap-up for it:

The political symbol of the Republican Party is an Elephant.

I grew up Republican, but the modern Republican Party in the five years since 9/11 has spooked me to death; it's closer to fascism than anything I knew as conservative during my upbringing.  So watching them trample over everything I've held dear about this country has at times been extremely frightening to me.

I'm not so ignorant as to not understand that this isn't really a democrat/republican thing; I know it's all an illusion and they're all on the same side, a one-party shadow government etc, possibly backed up etherically by the lizzies and so forth.  Nonetheless, seeing this dark agenda actually playing itself out (via the Republicans in this case) has been very hard at times, and I'd often wonder how far down this dark path we were going to go.

Until that understanding happened.  Then it all made sense... the Elephant.  Lord Ganesha is the remover of obstacles and bestower of wisdom, and although sometimes the removal of those obstacles may feel horrible (and primarily if you hang on to them as they're being flung aside), in the end the clearing that results and the wisdom that floods in to that clearing make everything absolutely worth it.  I've experienced this phenomenon so many times and felt it so deeply that at this point I absolutely, positively trust it.  So, when this understanding appeared, I immediately trusted it too, I just needed to fully grasp the enormity of it.  And here's what I now believe is occurring...

Within the Republican government, I now think there are only a very, very small handful of truly "dark" entities, possibly so few as to be counted only on one (or maybe two) hands.  The others, while they may seem evil and/or corrupt in 3D, are spiritually very very positive and wonderful beings, who have volunteered for one of the most important but most dangerous missions imaginable in this timeframe... go toe-to-toe with the dark ones, stand physically side by side with them and act as one of them, let the dark ones have everything they ever asked for, and then show them through their own direct experience that what they've asked for will ultimately only destroy them; this understanding would thus bring the dark ones' system down of their own volition which will finally move us out of this age of darkness and on into the collective light.

To put it another way, the party of the Elephant is finally fulfilling its ultimate purpose... we have a system ruled by the shadows which is inherently corrupt and is one of the big obstacles of our culture moving forward into the next age, and so the Elephant (as an embodiment of Lord Ganesha) is removing that obstacle... and not through conflict (which would only instill more darkness, and thus not remove the obstacle at all), but through the only way darkness can truly be removed: self-destruction in the presense of increasing amounts of light and truth.

The fascistic totalitarian takeover will never happen, not to the degree the dark ones dream at least.  Any progress they make in that direction will only serve to make more people aware of who they really are, such that when it all finally collapses via self-division and self-conflict (as the government already has begun to do), no willing soul will be kept from the truth any longer, and will be ready to receive it.

I now know there's no reason to fear what's happening in political circles anymore... Ganesha is leading this effort, and what is being removed is exactly what must be removed for our collective spirit to move forward.  The process will only be painful for those who refuse to let go of what ultimately must go away.  Detachment, observance of the wisdom that comes, and gratitude are all key in this transition.

And now, when I pop in some music, it's still usually psytrance... but every now and then, my enormous appreciation for Lord Ganesha pops back into my presence, and when that happens, it's time to break out the drum'n'bass and let his wisdom come through.

Now... I hadn't exactly read this thread yet, just saw it's title in the list of recent posts. So when I came here to see if anyone had perhaps posted this article here yet, or even if it was the inspiration for the thread, I realized the two are somewhat unrelated. But they seem to be related for me in some odd synchronistic way, so I thought I'd post the article here.

I was going to include a picture of Ganesha, in fact, but saw SiriArc's post with the very same image I was going to post, and felt another click in all of this. Anyway, for what it's worth, here's the article.

I thought it interesting that the reoccurrence of the event described in the above article was just prior to oceanroar's noticing elephants everywhere.

i've heard and seen a lot of sad animal stories - the way we've been doing to this planet with our polluting, industrial ways - maybe i don't even need to go there t - maybe this planet won't let us destroy it ... who knows what will happen ... ? your story was sad in a way - and also some warm fuzziness in there 2

i like what you said about animal symbolism being universal, but the possibility for biases being present as well ... fits with what i get 2 ... i guess there are general attributes certain animals have - but prolly each one is unique too with his/her own doohikkinesses ...

kinsei - i wanted to say - i've been in places in my life where i've prayed for help as well - maybe not in a direct way - but just thoughts here and there - and things have changed for the better - i wonder if that was my own consciousness in action or something answering ? or perhaps there was interaction of sorts ...

i have the sense now - and have had this sense for some time, that the universe really does respond to our being in a way that's appropriate ... the outer is a reflection of what's going on from within, at least on some level ... lots of times circumstances can't be controlled - but to paraphrase Montalk's quote - we can respond as we see fit ...

you also mentioned about having your head in the clouds ... well i'm an x-space cowboy myself ... grounding myself with 'reality' and the facts changed things in big ways 4 me ... it's kind of crazy when i look at it now ... and it started with just realizing that i was up there in lala land so much - just watching myself in action is what changed stuff ...

so interesting how music affects us - i also get the feeling that certain types of music or sounds can and do affect certain chakras ...

growing up as a kid, i went through these stages, i guess, from metal, to grung, to jazz, to dance, to house, to rap & hip hop, 80's stuff, 70s stuff -  studied classical in school - i guess i got a good sense of all different stuff - nowadays, my playlist is pretty much a mix of whatever sounds good to me ... i also have an appreciation for artists or music that incorporates different elements --

Some similar things have been happening to me lately too, so I have a story of elephants and Lord Ganesha as well.  This may seem a little "sillier" than your experiences on the surface, but bear with me, because it's had a profound impact on me.

My tale involves electronic music.  For a long time now I've been very heavily into psychedelic trance (psytrance) music; it's been my musical genre of choice for almost a decade now.  The thing is, in terms of energetic concentration, it's a kind of music that's very centered on one's higher chakras (third-eye and crown most particularly), and if you're the kind of person who's become of a very "ethereal" nature like I have, and you listen to that kind of music predominantly, the combination can cause you to become a little bit off-balance.  It's one thing to have one's head in the clouds (I like mine there), but you don't want to have it there to the exclusion of having one's feet on the ground at the same time, if you want to take in the entirety of observations and experiences that life has to offer.  That was something I started to get a strong sense of sometime early this year, and I even took one of those online chakra tests which emphasized in no uncertain terms that my root chakra was radically underbalanced compared to the rest of my energetic field.

So I started becoming aware that my root chakra physical self was a bit out of kilter with the rest of me.  Around the same time, in something that I knew at a fundamental level was related, I started running into a lot of physical problems, getting sick a lot and missing a lot of work etc, plus some things in my life that were previously just minor annoyances started becoming serious obstacles to my happiness and wellbeing.  Altogether I knew that this was all tied to that fundamental energetic imbalance, and I needed to correct it, but I had absolutely no idea how... so I meditated on this a lot and prayed a lot, hoping to receive some kind of help, because my intentions for making a correction and getting rid of these obstacles was very clear but the mechanism to do so felt like it was out of my worldly hands and I needed some guidance as to what to do.

Finally, late this past spring, it all started getting better, beginning with one very important night spent with a friend of mine who I'll call "Steve".  Steve is one of those rare genuine people who I only met last year but who I resonated with immediately, and I recognized early on that for as rarely as we hang out, whenever we do so it's always significant for me... the way I phrased it to him is that whenever we meet, it's never what I expected but always what I needed (and this is entirely platonic by the way).

And so on this one night, I was hanging out with Steve and he insisted that it was very important that he introduce me to Drum'n'Bass.  Now coming from a psytrance background, drum'n'bass is a far cry from what I'm used to, so I had my doubts... but my underlying trust that Steve wouldn't lead me astray (and he never has) allowed me to let go and see what was being shown to me.

What he played for me on my stereo at home was unlike anything I'd ever heard before.  I'd heard drum'n'bass, but not quite this style; this was much heavier and more psychedelic than what I'd previously been exposed to (I've since learned that the subgenres he introduced to me are sometimes called 'techstep' and 'neurofunk'), and unlike what I'd previously heard, this new stuff resonated with me at a deep level; I was "seeing" something in it that I couldn't put my finger on immediately, but I had to listen to more to grasp it.

It so turns out, that very night, downtown only a few miles from me, two major drum'n'bass guys from the UK were in town playing, so at Steve's behest, we went down to see and hear and dance.  To say it was phenomenal would be a major understatement, and then we got to go to the afterparty too where they continued to play.  I had a night that will stick with me for a long, long time... and not just because the dancing and the partying was cool, but because of one particular "vision" that came into my head in three different parts during the evening... this is the crux of the "thing I couldn't put my finger on":

The first part of the vision was when Steve was first playing me a particular techstep disc from an artist named Dom&Roland.  Having never heard music quite like this, I started "seeing" it in my mind... and the picture I got was of this huge 1000-foot-tall behemoth walking across an enormous landscape, with a bunch of other smaller minions surrounding him; the higher-pitched lighter drums were the minions (the higher the frequency, the smaller and more flighty the creature), and the super-deep bassy stuff was like the theme song to this magnificently huge creature of some kind making its way over the land, with everything getting out of its way because of just how huge it was.  If you've ever seen a Playstation2 game called "Shadow of the Colossus" (or even just looked at the cover art for it), or if you've seen the third Lord of the Rings movie "The Return of the King" and can remember Legolas climbing and taking down one of those huge olifonts (or whatever they were called), you can start to get an idea of what I was picturing my head listening to this music.

It was a vision of something gloriously huge, not angry or malevolent but just huge, to where its sheer force of momentum spoke loud and clear "Get out of the way, because I'm coming through; I don't hold any ill will against you, infact I love you, but nonetheless you are just going to have to get out of my way".

So that was the first part of the vision, which was already powerful enough as it was, because it gave me a frame of reference when hearing this music.  But the real gems happened when we went to that show with those two UK guys (part two of the vision), and then the afterparty (part three).

In part two, I was at that show, and dancing and having a good time, when suddenly something popped in my head, and I "got it", clear as day.  The huge creature in my previous vision wasn't some arbitrary behemoth, not just any enormous large beast....

... it was an elephant.  The most massive elephant I'd ever conceived of.  Those olifonts from Lord of the Rings wouldn't take up the size of a toe on this thing.  And then I continued to listen to this neurofunk drum'n'bass and realized that virtually all those low electronic highly resonant bass sounds, sounded like elephant noises... that this behemoth was an elephant through and through, and that this music was *its* music.

And when this finally sank in, the name appeared in my mind, "Ganesha".  The Hindu God-aspect who is the Remover of Obstacles and the Bestower of Wisdom.  It was indeed Ganesha saying "get out of the way, I'm coming through"... he was plowing through the obstacle field of my soul, removing barriers and leaving a clear path of wisdom in its place.  My introduction to drum'n'bass wasn't about getting in contact with a new style of music... it was about getting in contact with Ganesha.

The third and final part of the vision happened at the afterparty, when all of this became truly confirmed in my mind when I saw Ganesha appear clearly in my closed eyes, looking straight at me, with an enormous glowing Om on his forehead.  And as my ethereal self immediately bowed and cried reverently, I stood there right in the middle of this field as these massive elephant legs approached me and walked right past my sides as I looked up at this enormous elephant belly directly above me, and then he continued to walk on through, leaving the clearest of landscapes in his place... and as I turned to look at him moving on, I could only smile and thank him, and right then another massive elephant bassline blew through the speakers in front of me.

After that evening, I knew that this very physical, very deep kind of drum'n'bass was a direct creation of Ganesha, celebrating the joys of the physical plane because it allows us the experience of having obstacles, and the act of encountering and then removing those obstacles can bring about great healing that will last long after the physical world is gone.

Before, when I was too heavily unbalanced in favor of my higher chakras, I was neglecting the important lessons that this physical existence still had waiting in store for me, and by eschewing the physical plane, I was leaving all kinds of obstacles in place against me, and causing my physical body to suffer too.  But after that one evening, those physical problems all but disappeared almost overnight, along with the obstacles that were blocking me.  The amount of gratitude I hold for my daily physical life since then has increased by orders of magnitude.

And now, when I pop in some music, it's still usually psytrance... but every now and then, my enormous appreciation for Lord Ganesha pops back into my presence, and when that happens, it's time to break out the drum'n'bass and let his wisdom come through.
