For a long time I knew my mind was my worst enemy.Started to learn that the mind cannot fix itself. It's like a dog chasing it's own tail. Understood the 12 step connection with a higher power. Turn my life and will over to God, they advised .I didn't like petitioning some vague figurehead in the clouds. Came to believe God is experiencing Himself through us. The ego is like a character on a movie screen, not real, but we can get caught up in it like it's real, just like when we got to the movies. If there is a scene in a movie with a big fire, it looks like a fire but the screen remains unaffected. I believe fear is due to ego causing a false sense of separation from God, which is impossible because God is All That Is. The thinking mind serves to strengthen and perpetuate the ego.

Please share some of the exercises you find useful along the way. I too believe "present moment awareness" is key to perpetual contentment and the attainment of all our preferences.

Yes, I got the name from the crop circle. My guess is they were referring to the deal the govt made with the greys, "beware the bearers of false gifts and broken promises". I got the shamans name from an energy worker who does EFT seminars around this area. I saw him in person, although I understand it could be done remotely over the phone. I'm trying to get used to feeling more intensely now, like someone turned up the volume (or more likely it was on mute for most of my life). Was doing a meditation on "The Power of Now" this morning and had a real epiphany of the principle in that book. The Now is the window of infinity where it all happens. I think the matrix likes to pull us out of the Now, get us thinking about the past or future, caught in endless circles or time loops. I am trying to practice intense present moment awareness with no thinking at all. This is an escape from the prison of my mind.

I wasn't picking on him/her, I don't mean to imply that. It was more of a neutral "huh, interesting", to say that I recognized where the name came from.

At any rate, welcome to the board weopposedeception. If you'd like, you can post something about yourself in the intros. thread so we know a little more about you. As far as shamans go, I haven't been to one. Where did you find the one you went to? How did that all come about?

Yes, indeed. And all in caps. But shall we give people some slack? Perhaps I am a little naive. In a recent timeline, I think that deception may refer to the WMD. There are many meanings, overlapping . . .

Congratulations! I've seen several shamans. What you describe sounds like a "soul retrieval." Enjoy it! Nothing quite like integration.

Anyone here ever see a shaman? I saw one last week and feel a dramatic change in my feelings( more sensitive) and consciousness ( feel more present). I wasn't expecting much because I've been down so many blind alleys with new age type healings. This shaman retrieved 4 soul pieces for me. As he was working I could feel all these energies running around in my body, except they weren't exactly energies they were more like persons intimate to me, best way I could describe it. I immediately felt more grounded, more in my body. I used to be just like a head running around, with no body. Feel everything much more intensely now and have more energy and alertness. Supposedly it takes a few months to integrate the new pieces back. I think I'll go buy them a teddy bear or something, it 's good to have them back.
