I'd like to quote Kenny Rodgers and his classic song "The Gambler"

"You have to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, and know when to run."

Sometimes it all just breaks down into timing. I've witnessed and been in many situations when all that was required for vastly improved options was a bit more time and/or information. Please note that one of the best strategies for 4D STS is to control, directly or through proxy, the two primary options that they can see. Remember that inaction is an option, since the better thing to do when confronted with important choices is to see if someone else is holding both ends of the rope who then expects you to jump.

As long as you don't let yourself be tricked into immobility and all will work out at least as well as it can. Trust your intuition!

-3G

When you walk away from one thing, you are walking towards something else. So that says something about "walking away" - that when properly done, it is not giving up, leaving unfinished business, neglecting one's duties or destiny, but rather transcending a rigged game and finding or constructing a superior alternative.

The STO way would be to choose from a position of internal balance to maximize external balance: battling or walking away, whichever leads to greater balance (freewill optimization) on the whole. So yeah, it is about choosing battles wisely and sometimes walking away is the only way to win. Wisely is the keyword, which calls for thinking, intuition, and discernment warmed by love.

The STS way would be to let matrix influences (lower ego, social and religious programming, animalistic or demonic impulses) make the decision. Then because of false motives and reckless execution, battling or walking away would only create further imbalance. Practically speaking, the best battles to walk away from are ones that provoke only the ego and limit the rewards of victory to same, that serve no higher purpose of winning, that simply cannot be won. Obvious stuff.

In mythology, I think the self-sacrifice of Christ is an example of walking away. Before it was his time to go, he fought the system with passion because battle was effective for the sake of balance. But in the end, walking away from the physical plane was the greater balancing choice. A more recent example that comes to mind is the movie Hero which ended with a lesson about walking away. And as far as battle goes, The Wizard of Oz is interesting because Dorothy defeated the Witch but not in the STS sense of battle. The Cassiopaeans advised to "act for, not against" which goes back to the idea of acting towards a constructive alternative instead of going down in flames with the old.

Wild tangent: why are most myths about dramatic conflicts between darkness and light? Why the myths about the Great Fall, the corruption of the Golden Age? Maybe because our current timeline is the end product of hyperdimensional conflicts originating in the future, a temporary iteration of the timeloop spawned because of conflict and therefore saturated with that theme.

Thanks to all involved for bringing this idea to light on NR. I think this is a very important topic for those who are commited to changing the quality of their being and the world they "live" in. With polarization increasing the STO side needs to do as much as possible to conserve energy to be able to redirect it in optimal efficiency for those that actually need it. Many feel the need to fight or flee when the shit goes down, and those methods can help you in certain situations (like being mugged, protecting people who request your help, etc), but I think the ideal is to just disconnect from the situation when it becomes too taxing on your own development and doesn't have any actual benefit to those who are engaging you. Montalk's signature (You control your response and therein lies your freedom) has really been sitting at the forefront of my conscious mind a lot lately (thanks Montalk!). We literally choose everything about our life and to believe otherwise would be detrimental to our personal evolution and the self-responsibility required for that evolution. No choice is wrong, whether it be fight, flight, or calmly disconnecting and walking away from a detrimental situation because every choice is the "right" one when it is made, otherwise a different choice would have been made. The tricky part is that we make choices on at least 3 levels (that I'm aware of), conscious/subconsious/and default. When we can see the interrelation between those choice types we benefit greatly because we are taking back our power that lies in freewill, realizing that sometimes our conscious mind doesn't know what's best for us, and the subconscious when directed by the higher self does things we don't always agree with but must realize is happening for our long term development (the highest level of choice that we are mostly unaware of having made). The default choices are those that relate to the realm in which we chose to incarnate and the consequences of that choice, sometimes things just need to get done, and some things are beyond our direct control.

As far as myths go, I've been thinking for the last little while that as the grand cycle completes and moves up to the next level the myths we hold dear now have a chance to be rewritten. Preconceived subjective notions of what's "right" and "wrong" are dying away as victim mentality is steadily being replaced by self-responsibility in those that seek to shed that which holds them down and attracts more and more of what they don't want in their life. Seeing the reality we have created and are creating for what it is through seeing the oneness and it's manifestations of duality is objectivity, "seeing" with the heart because true love is the objective love of the "creator", both mother and father caring for their "child" (individuated conciousness).

Every time we feel sleighted, offended, abused, etc.. we are giving our power away and choosing to live within the illusion rather than with it, instead of using it for it's intended purpose....a playground for the fragments of god (once "separated") to wake up and realize that they actually contain the potential to reunite with all of the other fragments and in the process become again that which they once were and will be again.

Once again, thanks to everyone for this thread. Even though deep down we all know the truth and are simply remembering it as we go along, sometimes we need a little re-mind-er to keep us on track.
