My rule of thumb has been......if it (the apparition ) doesnt interact with you, its usually an energy imprint.  If it interacts or notices you, then its probably a ghost, or whatever you want to call it.

Makes sense (and brings to mind those old 'Is it Live or is it Memorex?' commericials).  Now, I wonder if they see our side that way?  Whereas some entities (John Q. Public) are simply repeating the same actions over and over again while others might actually be capable of transcommunication.  Hmmm.

I find him to be the most "profitable" reading..of anything ever written, period! Not easy but worth 100 times every effort.. in what is expanded in one's understanding from his very clear mind and words.
It's a shame that both that K. and the poltergeist are clumped together in this topic here since the paranormal will always get the bigger boost, adding excitement. And so Krishnamurti doesn't get the attention he deserves.

It's pretty much common knowledge now that most poltergeist activity is caused by HUMAN unintentional psycho-kinetic ability...usually around puberty.

but about what my acquaintance was saying with things and his family - that guy really has no reason to lie to me (even if he was lying - i'm not holding onto what he said about his experiences as if they were absolutely true) ... BUT ... interestingly enough - on one of the programs i caught on Womens network - they were interviewing i think 2 different people during the show - who had experienced poltergeist phenomenon growing up for several years ... these were like documentaries where they also interviewed so many other people that were involved in these peoples lives and who had also witnessed or were aware of what was going on ... in the 1 case, the woman was describing how the poltergeist pulled a very similar thing to what my friend described - the demon thing appearing in the form of her mother cuddling her in her bed (she said she fully felt the thing)! also stories of poltergeists choking people - full out choking to kill - so manipulating physical objects here sounds like no surprise either - like tossing loose stuff around - and even levatating beds & people ...
