Okay, I hate to say this but the Wall kill river isnt the only one in the US that flow from south to north.  The Genessee River in western NY originates in Pennsylavania and flows north into Lake Ontario. I do believe the aliens were mining upstate, as evidenced by the tunnels I saw in Kingston, NY. They are also seen over the Ashokan Resevoir which is one of main water sources for NYCity.

No worries, and no reason to hate saying it - if the book's facts are wrong, they're wrong.  Noticing it and pointing it out is a good thing, actually.    I do that myself all the time, whenever I notice that stuff is wrong.  Nothing worse than incorrect information being perpetuated, after all.

That's interesting that the other south-north flowing river also happens to pass through New York.   Wonder what's up with that......

They also say that in Pine Bush the water flows abnormally in certain areas..for example if it normally flows right to left in certain areas of pine bush...at sighting areas...the water flows left to right...i forget what they call that...but there are not many places on the planet that water does that.

The book has this to say (bolded words my own emphasis):

"I learned another startling fact about the location:  the Wallkill River, which runs through most of the area, is the only river in the continental United States to run north instead of south. The water table is abnormally high in the Pine Bush area." (page 120)

Another muy interesante factoid that emerged when Ellen was trying to figure out what the aliens' underground drilling in the middle of the night was all about:

"What could they have been doing, I asked myself.  I was sure they were drilling and had machinery operating.  Dale and Mark told me the aliens ere mining beryllium, zirconium, and titanium.

I pursued this clue via library research.   Amazingly, I learned that the three metals were not only rare but were found only in some small Asian countries and - I nearly flipped out at this fact - in Orange County, New York, exactly where I was pursuing the ships.  It is interesting to note that these metals are used in nuclear reactor plants." (page 119-120.)

Well, if you've noticed in society, that very few people are willing to be deemed *crazy* chasing ufo's all over the countryside. It doesnt fit in with the *normal* way to be.....Aliens, and ufo's were just so outside most people's realm of existence that they wouldnt aknowledge it unless be linked with the *kooks*.  It just wasnt acceptable back then......Just a different mentality, at least in that neck of the woods.

It just makes no sense to me.  None.   I don't get that mentality at all.  That sounds to me like some heavy duty programming going on, which often is the case in this society.   And this isn't directed to you personally treehugger, because I know that you're open and very much aware and in tune with these subjects, so it's a commentary on society as a whole.   But something extraordinary is happening.....and people keep their mouths shut??   What's that??   It's the opposite of how humans used to be.   And it's that exact mentality that has enabled much of what we see going on in society right now.  Fear.  Looking the other way.  Pretend stuff isn't happening.  "kook" labels.  Meanwhile, our society is completely crazy, imo, and look why.  Decades and decades and decades of people looking down, away, keeping their mouths sealed and nose to the grindstone.  I get angry thinking about it, and what years and years worth of religious/authoritarian fear-based conditioning has done to humans.   The natural inclination for something new and unusual should be to explore and investigate, the "tribe" gathering around and discussing it, analyzing it.  But now we've been manipulated to keep quiet, be scared of being labeled as crazy, and just ignore it??   ahh, makes NO SENSE.   I was raised differently, I'm lucky!    Seriously.  My parents acted like the idea of UFOs, psychic powers and all the paranormal was the most normal thing in the world.   And that's how it should be, because this stuff is real, and it's a regular part of day to day life to some extent for most (real) people.

Anyway, this wasn't intended to be the focal point of this thread, it's about the book in general and the other things I mentioned, so I don't want to sidetrack too much onto bashing the control mechanisms that have distorted humans over the past 2,000 years.  Because I could rant for hours about it, seriously.     All I can say is that it's an interesting and worthwhile read for anybody who's interested in the alien/UFO subject and digs first person eyewitness accounts that don't seem to be operating with a disinformation agenda.

The ufos in that area were so commom place that people just got used to them being around.....
in some cities in countries like Mexico and Peru, people are blase about the ufo's, she even had a photo of a sign on the road somewhere in mexico that read *watch for low flying saucers*. ....There were always newspaper reports after mass sightings saying it was just airplanes from the local airport. Yeahhh, sure it was.

This is what gets me.....the schizophrenic contrast, tug of war that's going on in society.  UFOs were openly doing their thing, so many people were seeing them, it was a known fact for those areas, yet it was still being (lamely) covered up or ignored, and the population as a whole is in denial about it all.  What's going on here?  And why weren't more people doing what Ellen did?   (Rhetorical question, of course.)  Taking photos, chasing UFOs, documenting and shouting from the rooftops about it?  I mean, what's wrong with people you know that they're just...looking the other way, then allowing the mainstream world to perpetuate the idea that this subject is complete fiction, or just "airplanes" ?  Imagine if hundreds of others had done exactly what Ellen did.  Contacted the NY Times.  Taken photos, and logged docmentation, collected physical evidence, and so on.  Instead we have all these random people in society, all spread out coming forward with their various tales, an unorganized situation that winds up being discredited by the skeptics.   But if an entire region came forward, together, in soladarity....hundreds and hundreds of people, with hard evidence, refusing to "just drop it" or "let it go".....then what?

I don't know.  Can only imagine.  So there are signs in Mexico that warn about low flying saucers...and yet most of society still thinks "Oh, this stuff aint real!"   What a trip.

Another thing worth noting is that during the couple of times when media reporters showed up in Pine Bush to have Ellen show them the fields and all the UFOs, it would coincidentally be bad weather.  Cloudy, or storming or whatever.   So the reporters would walk away empty handed with nothing to report.  How convenient!   My conclusion is that "something" deliberately did that and manipulated the weather.   They don't care about being openly viewed by the locals because they know that the locals aren't even going to try to do anything about it.  But when the reporters show up.......well then it's another story.  Bring on the clouds and rain and have a no-show.

I still have reservations about the idea of any formal announcement and unveiling of sorts about aliens the way many believe there will be.  And after reading this book, even more so.  They're already here, doing their thing, and don't seem interested in making anything formal or openly announced.  There's a lot of talk about how things are being manipulated as a staged set up so that the population will accept the Grays or whoever as our saviors when "the big unveiling!" happens, but I just don't see this ever happening.   I could be wrong, but I'm not feeling it.   Either it won't happen, or I just won't be here (as in dead) when it does, which is why I can't feel it happening within my lifetime/realm of experiences.   Who knows.

I'm reading a really kick ass book right now called "Silent Invasion," by the late Ellen Crystall, and wanted to pass along the recommendation.   For starters I have to say that I'm no longer interested in researching aliens/UFOs and all that, and haven't been for years, because most of the time I find it to be rather dull.  How many accounts are we supposed to read about lights in the skies?   And it's always the same old same old abduction scenarios of being taken, poked, prodded, and so on.  yawn.  I don't know, just doesn't interest me anymore and my focus has been mainly on MILABs and such for the past few years.

But then I came across this book, "Silent Invasion," and I am really digging this book.  The only reason I checked it out of the library was solely because it was the first person documented accounts of some up close and personal contact experiences, written by a woman.  I've grown to be quite partial of first person abduction/alien/MILAB material written by women because it seems to be more sincere and genuine, (the women alien channelers aside!  NOT endorsing them....) versus many of the men involved in the field who seem to be acting as disinfo. agents, unfortunately.  Won't name names but people reading this can probably come up with a few names of well known male authors and "investigators" into UFO/MILAB/abduction lore, and probably know exactly who I'm talking about.  Something about their material seems commercialized and "slick," whereas the women's stuff usually is more down to earth, sincere and doesn't conform to the status quo.  Barbara Bartholic, Karla Turner, Eve Lorgen, Ellen, and so on.

So anyway, on to the book for those who haven't read it....

During the 70's and 80's, there was an "invasion" of sorts you could say happening in the Pine Bush/Hudson Valley area of New York.  UFOs were all over the night sky, sometimes up to 30 at a time.  They were landing in fields, parking over people's homes, flying low over tree tops, and didn't even bother trying to hide their presence.  There were aliens running around in fields, underground digging activities going on all night long, you name it.  Hundreds of locals witnessed this, cops included, and in the book Ellen Crystall documents her up close and personal experiences with literally, chasing after UFOs in her car and trying to get to them in the fields with groups of people, and all the "game playing" and "cat and mouse" chase games that went on between her and the aliens.  It's just fascinating stuff to me, not only because these aliens were acting in such an open manner, completely unconcerned with being spotted, but also because of the way the locals were responding to it all - or rather, not responding.  It was like people were either scared into silence, or just had this passive, "wind let out of their sails" (as I term it) reaction to it all. lalala.  Oh well.  Shrug.  Coupled with an almost God-like reverence for these beings, which would cause people to scorn Ellen for daring to try to photograph them and chase after them and approaching parked UFOs.   Their attitude was like, How could you??  That's so disrespectful!  Just leave them alone!    What's also fascinating to me was how it wasn't getting mainstream coverage for the longest time.  Nobody was talking about it, for the previous two reasons - either fear, or complete passivity, coupled with that God-like spiritual reverence.

What also trips me out is that Ellen mentions Middletown, New York here and there throughout the book.  I was born in Middletown, New York.  Ellen makes reference of Newburgh - that whole area was my parents' stomping ground.  My dad spent ages 10 - 18 in that area, then ages 22-25.  Monroe, Newburgh, Maybrook, Middletown, etc.  My mom from ages 13-22.  So yeah, I'm like, "whoa...." reading this.    My mom's side of the family is all in Goshen, Washingtonville, etc. now and growing up we would visit my grandmother in those areas.   

Anyway, it's a really fascinating book and worth a read if you haven't already, and I plan to buy a copy actually, because it's worth owning imo.   I just can't get over the fact that aliens and UFOs are STILL being debated now, in 2006, when there were hundreds of people who were witnessing an open "invasion" of sorts in New York....over 20 years ago.  This reality is so strange.  An entire segment of the population has been blocked from being aware of some things, while others have openly seen it like it's nothing.   ?   Makes me wonder.
