I have never been able to get a handle on Chiron, so I would be interested in your insights.
Background on Chiron Chiron represents the wounded healer. In mythology, Chiron was the king of the centaurs, with the task of teaching spiritual values and respect for divine law to young Greek princes, before they learned fighting with the adult males. Chiron had been injured accidentally in his thigh by one of Heracles' poisened arrows and no matter what Chiron did he couldn't draw the poison from the wound. He learned many things in an attempt to heal himself. He became very knowledgeable, and a wise healer, sought after by many for his healing and teaching ablities. But he never healed his own wound. Because he was immortal (born of Ixion, son of war god Ares and a cloud that Zeus had shaped like Hera his wife so Ixion wouldn't actually sleep with his wife) he could not die and had to live his life in pain, sacrificing wordly happiness and devoting his time to teaching spiritual wisdom.
We all have wounds that we spend our lives (consiously or unconsiously) trying to heal - or a the very least, deaden the pain. When we do heal them, we can then assist others with the wisdom gained from our personal experience. On a purely personal growth/healing level, I think Chiron can give us wonderful insights into areas of greatest healing.
At the course on Chiron, we looked at every possible meaning for Chiron in all of the signs, and the planetary aspects to Chiron. When we came to Uranus aspects/11th house placement of Chiron - some of the meanings presented to us were: a sense of alienation; longing to be a part of the collective, while feeling separate from it; doubting one's intelligence; one's ideas being rejected; physical problems with ankles; being a bit like the lead in the movie "Powder" and also being 'in tune' with aliens, and beings from other realms.
Chiron can maybe take the healing of our wounds deeper, in the light of abduction experiences. It might even give us clues to the best ways to understand and heal these wounds.
Uranus itself is a planet that symbolizes unexpected and sudden (often traumatic) change. People with strong Uranus drives can either spearhead progressive reforms or stand out from the crowd through shocking or anti-social behaviour. Whatever their behaviour, Uranian individuals (and not just those born as Aquarians) can have a crackling mysterious almost electric feel to them.
Uranus can work disruptively, breaking down old attitudes and belief systems that have become fossilised. They can assist in true liberating awakening. Uranus can also correspond to electricity, original discoveries, innovative technology, abstract sciences, thinking 'out of the box', insightful genius, revolutionary ideals and (to my mind anyway as an extension of these more popularly accepted meanings) that which comes from outer space i.e. aliens.
Venus represents on one level, the relationships we have, our relationship potentials.
Mars represents how we express our energy in the world, our sexual expression, our anger.
In writing this post, I'm not looking at widely held beliefs, they're already out there with society, and presented in a way that is nice, comfortable and acceptable by the masses.
I'm looking at deeper meanings, trying to understand this Matrix map (or soul map if you like, the one that shows what your soul is here to experience, understand and learn/overcome in this lifetime) in the context that many people in NR share i.e. aliens, abduction experiences etc.
I have Uranus in 11th.
I don't think I have been an abductee, but I have had a series of weird alien dreams over the years that have been very lucid.
.... Chiron is opposed my Uranus almost exactly. Don't know the exact degrees.I think I have a fascination with the galactic(natal Mars right on the Galactic Center at 27 SAG square my Uranus). Alien contact? Probably not in my case. Interference? I don't think so, but who knows. An interest in these matters--definitely.

Thanks too Nanci. I'd say that those are certainly indications of your interest in all of this.
The Galactic Centre (at 26 Sag 09) to my mind shows that your ideas can be progessive to the point of 'broad awakening' by yourself and others. Although others might meet you with strong resistance, fearful of you inner power. 
It can also show deep childhood anxieties that might be stirred up at this point - but in becoming aware of them, is the potential for healing. (BTW I have Jupiter conjunct the Galactic Centre - not Uranus, but thought I'd stick that in!!!)
Where did you guys get all your astrological info? I know very little about this stuff.
I started off doing a straight astrology course for personal interest. Loved it and went on to do the advanced and diploma of astrological counselling. But I really only scratched the surface - astrology can be read on so many levels. Unfortunately a lot of peole use it as a crutch or excuse "I can't do that... my Mars is square blah blah". I'm interested in it more as a tool for understanding one's personality - to overcome challenges and free oneself from the 'matrix mindset', if you like.
I've also got a hunch that it might in some way, be an encapsulated diagrammatic form of one's DNA - but I don't know how to go about proving that one 
But back to your question, its another tool treehugger, and if you feel drawn to using it, I'm sure you'd find a reputable teacher around - or a good book in the library.
Very interesting thoughts Cipher. I am curious though why you're focused on Uranus mainly in connection with ETs and so forth? I understand the Aquarian Age/Uranus Cosmic Human and all that but was wondering if you're talking about something more......hum.....personal like with it??? But you're talking about ET abductions primarily correct?

I don't have any Chiron/Uranus aspects myself. I do have Uranus conjunct my Venus in the 12th house (along with my Sun/Leo). This gives me abrupt beginnings/endings in relationships (although Venus/Leo does make me a loyal friend). But I've always been curious about ETs, have had some 'other-wordly' contacts mentally and astrally and am fascinated by this as a tool to understand what a lot of NRers have experienced.
Whether that can actually then be used to any advantage, I have no idea - I hadn't thought it through that far ahead. Except one application might be to give us clues to the best ways to understand and heal the wounds received as a result of abductions/alien interference.
I feel that Chiron in general (I have Chiron/Uranus opposition natally as so many do) helps us to get beyond structured physical reality and 'time' and so, be able to connect with higher dimensional beings (ETs also) in general.
Now that's interesting. And one that I think definitely fits in this thread. Does anyone else have any experiences to back up this angle? ETs here being STOs? But conversely, maybe it would also assist (STO) ETs connect to the physical?
I believe that all of the "non personal" planets - starting with Chiron, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto - are the ways and means to get us out past Saturn, 3D physical reality. Many other 'astrologers' don't even believe that most of humanity is capable of vibrating fast enough to connect in an individual way with all of the "outer planets" in our solar system. They may be right, but I do believe that more and more of us are waking up and being able to directly, individually vibrate with Chiron through Pluto now.
When you say "get us out past Saturn, 3D physical reality" - I get confused. Because "past Saturn" to me denotes going out into outer space in this Matrix 3D reality. But "get us out past ... 3D physical reality" denotes vibrating faster and therefore moving dimensionally to a higher frequency. I wasn't sure the two were interchangeable.
However, if the energy represented by the outer planets in our charts can show us a way that our particular personalities can evolve beyond our matrix programming (as shown in our personal charts), then that is a relevant point, albeit not quite what this thread is about.
Anyway lovely people, thanks for replying, your ideas are valuable to me. Its a subtle/intangeable thing to get one's mind around - but it piqued my interest, and I'm glad you found it interesting too.
