I'm not seeing any link for the 'play in full screen' function at that forum, but maybe just search the title at google video and follow the directions above. For instance, this one

http://eternallytransient.com/forums/in … 739.0.html

is here

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid … lete+Video

Apparently google video provides .avi downloads of some of them. Would be nice if the google video page would quit crashing my browser . . . I think what you have to do is _not_ have the keepvid webpage window open when you hit the 'download' button at googlevideo. But then it still won't tell me the complete file size.

To download videos from places like Google Video and YouTube, you can use KeepVid or Video Downloader. There's no need to install anything--just paste in the URL, and select the format you want to save the video as. If you save it as an .avi file it'll be pretty big, but it'll play in most players. If you have the option of saving it as an .flv file it will be small, but it will only play in VLC Media Player (a highly recommended video player--open source and plays everything) or FLV Player.

I checked a couple posts on that forum, and it looks like they have "click for fullscreen" links on most of the videos. To save videos, just copy that link and paste the series of numbers (which may include a "-" sign) at the end into a typical Google Video playback link, which looks like this: "http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid … 3552242731".

So, the Eternally Transient forum link to a fullscreen video at "http://video.google.com/googleplayer.sw … 3552242731" should be changed to "http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid … 3552242731" before you paste it into KeepVid or Video Downloader.

Well I enjoyed watching The Freeman Perspective, anyway. There's some really
cool symbolic connections in there that I hadn't noticed. There's certainly a variety
of videos here which are very well done and have a homemade, personal feeling
about them, which is refreshing. Yet the depth of understanding and exploration
of the subjects, and the quality of presentation are worth delving into. The main
thing is not to get carried away with any one person's agenda, and sampling here
and there without feeling any pressure to buy into anything wholesale. That's a
big part of the fun of this sort of thing. It's always best to consider that no matter
how great the content, there's an entity behind it whom you really don't know, for good or ill. And as far as investigating further whether someone is legit or a crank,
you have to ask yourself if it's really worth it. None of us should be suprised by now
that the internet is full of plagiarized and whacked out material. I would say, though, that I'm beginning to see a pattern in which the more someone is claiming
to be presenting The Most Pure High Truth which is helping humanity, and that their
aims are purely altruisic, the more likely it is that they are Greedy Gollums. It's planned with calculation to bilk the naive, or it's a nutter who honestly thinks
they are in some straight dope with the Higher Ups, which is even more terrifying in a way....

But I feel that with, for example, The Freeman Perspictive, he's simply offering
his discoveries, his perspective from what he's been able to find out, and leaving
it up to the viewer to decide what it means for them. As opposed to outlining this
whole cosmologic whiffer- do program to follow.

Xenopope wrote:

It's the general message of sacred geometry and the inherent Divinity in all things that is important

Well I'll agree with that. It's a topic I've breifly looked at and would like to come back to in more depth sometime. Maybe a good place to start is to read Pythagoreas. I have come across interesting work related musical scales and tones related back in to sacred geometric relationships. (440hz = A was a recent change in approx the last 100 years and some orchestras still won't tune to it. That 432hz as A was harmonious with sacred geometry). It goes like many things take what works for you and leave the rest. Here's a couple interesting and semi-related links:

http://www.akasha.de/~aton/Unidance.html
http://members.aol.com/jamesfuria/secret.html
http://www.greatdreams.com/sound.htm
http://www.greatdreams.com/hertz.htm
http://www.klatu.com/lix/index.html

(and that's stuff I haven't read it all but bookmarked it as it looks interesting)

It bothers me when some people act shady like Mr Winters though, his supporter's websites address the case in broad strokes but not his statements on record. I'd think more highly of him if he attempted to explained it ("The conspirators put a gun to my head and forced me to say those things", or "they kidnapped my daughter and threatened her life unless I did their bidding"). Instead what I observe comes across as avoidance to me. That something in the claims against him does have merit. And I'm not trying to say that would invalidate all his work, but I would suggest extra caution when reviewing it. I have to tread really carefully with some of the stuff that goes into physics, because I am not a physicists and there's a lot I really don't understand to well. It still interests me as a topic though I don't really want to study it at a university level. In that respect I am one of the ignorant masses that could possibly be rather easily deceived by some flashy graphics, rapid hand gestures, some quick flashes of equations, and a charismatic speaker so when their integrity is shot then it seems like a lost game for me to try to wade through their stuff.

And I didn't intend to carry off this fine video thread into this tangent but it happens. And there's probably other video links that could inspire more of this. It's funny that someone else posted a link to google video for Michael Tsarion, because when I first referenced in my first reply "I picked a video, then went to google videos and searched for it, found it, and there's a download option". I was doing that with a Tsarion vid. Which reminds me, getting back on to the topic of those vids. Do you know any sort of torrent sites that would carry these videos? I would like to download them, but as xvid/divx avi or something more standard.

Xenopope, maybe and maybe not. Maybe you have much more time into those people and issues than me, and can make a judgement based on that. This is all first time for me and I'm going as I go from what I see. So you say it's obviously a smear campaign, but to me it's not. Dan Winter's info was interesting and compelling from the videos, but at the same time I didn't follow it all and his terminology completely which is why I bothered to search for him on the web.

For reasonable findings of fact that are court admissible will presumably have been held to a higher standard of quality than mere heresay. Another good example of court harassment was the people behind Quackwatch (who liked to harrass alternative medicine) vs Dr. Hulda Clark. That lawsuit was thrown out because it was without merit. Something different happened in the Dan Winter case. Since I made the mistake of taking an interest in it, I guess I'm going to have to spend some more hours on it. I'll also note another link I put in there is from a Dan Winter supporter site and has much information and the "other side's" view point. So if anyone is in doubt what's going on, there's maybe several hours of reading from both perspectives to allow someone to come to their own conclusion.

I'm not so concerned about the copyright issues. But fair attribution of work, or if he took some bits of good stuff and mixed in pseudo-nonsense to mislead and deceive ignorant but well meaning people. So it is in a lot of ways a question of integrity, and I find this document interesting (signed by Dan Winter)

Dan Winter wrote:

There are many ways to model Mr. Tenen’s "flame letter" sculpture on a personal computer by a spiral strip or a line that will cast letter-form shadows. One need not use a Golden Mean spiral to do it. Thus, the Golden Mean spiral is an irrelevant overspecification for creating Hebrew, Arabic, Roman, Greek, and English (or any other) letter-forms.

...

- I hold no technical or medical degrees.
- Mr. Tenen’s scholarly concern for the integrity of his works is, and has been, fully warranted, and Mr. Tenen is neither greedy, a fanatic, nor secretive, nor a "Jewish or Hiburu priest."

...

I regret that others have been misled by my false claims, and I strongly encourage Mr. Vincent Bridges my publisher, and Drunvalo Melchizadek, a/k/a/ Bernard Perona d/b/a Flower of Life, Inc., and all others who have repeated my false and hurtful reports, to stop doing so.

I refute my misstatements and apologize for all of this, and I request that others now pass on, post, and report this Corrective Notice everywhere that false reports have appeared.

Etc.

Now what would be really helpful to me, seeing that I am confronted with pages of facts, and a tangled legal proceeding, would be an argument accompanied with supportive compelling evidence. I'm sorry if this seems one sided but here I am spending my time trying to compose a post instead of just pure reading. My point here is not that I disagree with you, or think that you are wrong. But that you make an emotional plea:

Xenopope wrote:

Look at the man Winter. Look at his face. Because it was obvious to me that he certainly held no malicious intent whatsoever.

And even if that is true there are several facts that bring his integrity into question, and "he looks honest" is kind of weak if there are signed admissions by Mr Winter that he has not been entirely truthful in his presentations. Your argument is in a way forcing me to spend more time reading this when I kind of want to just drop it and move along.

But if we consider what you say is true, then this truth should become obvious upon further investigation. Can you provide me with some supporting work or facts that can help me see the obvious truth behind your assertions?

Who are the 'good guys' here? The Meru corporation who is trying to collect legal 'damages' on the basis of some 'rights to information' law, or the person who is trying to teach others of the Divine nature inherent in everything that exists? I too have touched apon this fiasco of claims agains the man during my online searchings and I must say that it was obviously apparent to me that the claims exist solely for the purpose of 'shutting him down' and ending the spread of sacred knowledge towards which he so adamently strives. If the Meru corporation understood a single thing about the meaning of sacred geometry then one would think they would agree that the message certainly should not be bound by some legal mumbo-jumbo such as this.

Have you seen the man on the video? Look at the man Winter. Look at his face. Because it was obvious to me that he certainly held no malicious intent whatsoever. This is a classic 'smear' campaign cut and dry. A perfect example of 'scratched-surface' conclusion is what they will have happen to you.

It sounds like by Dan's own admission the results he uses his evidence to conclude to are false and baseless and that he holds little regards for audience: "my audiences are too stupid to know the difference,".

Edit #3: It gets deeper and includes interesting claims against Drunvalo Melchizedek on this page:

I was not at all prepared when Mr. Melchizedek told me that he would not rein in Mr. Winter unless I joined with him and his multi-millionaire benefactor, Jirka Rysavy in "channeling Lucifer." I had previously heard that Mr. Winter was involved in satanism, but I had not taken it seriously or tried to confirm this. (Mr. Rysavy was then CEO of Corporate Express and Transecon in Broomfield, Colorado, and he is now CEO of Gaiam, the health food and exercise equipment mega-corporation that is currently taking over numerous independent businesses.

And I thought it was relevant here because of his spiritual writings and I've run into several people who hold Drunvalo in high regard. Very interesting to me how this turns back towards dark occultism and rich people financing front men well studied in psychology to lead people astray. It looks like this was going on for some time and may be old news. I don't know, this could just be my newness to some authors, info, and claims showing, or maybe it goes deeper and gets weirder still.

.gvp is non-standard. Google thinks that because their search engine went global that they are entitled to proclaim themselves as some authority in the field of video.

I suggest just going the Torrent route to those who are equipped for it or even the p2p route for those who are not, although I do doubt most of those vids will be available on p2p hence my BitTorrent suggestion as the vids will most likely be found in torrent format which will eventually produce a standard video format on your HD.

Then you can share with your friends even when not on the computer!

. . . imagine that.

Well you can sort of download them. I spent a couple seconds messing with it. I picked a video, then went to google videos and searched for it, found it, and there's a download option, but the format is *.gvp. So to play the format you need to download their player also. I'm a little annoyed because the connection always times out on me, used to be skip ahead and back buttons I could unfreeze it, but right now all I see is pause/play, so it is frustratating. But it's kind of cool some of that info is out there. Looks like a lot of videos collected together.
