I've noticed that when I'm extremely relaxed (to the point of where I have control over my pulse), I've noticed that for every beat of my heart, everything within my visual perception brightens and then darkens momentarily... another beat, another bright then dark.

Also have the ability to see the "energy waves" when I'm outdoors. Usually works better when my eyes are relaxed and I'm looking at the sky or "through"/beyond an object, like a tree. The energy waves sometimes look like fine rolling mist radiating out from an object.

I've never taken any kind of hallucinogenic drugs, but I'm not diametrically opposed to the concept either. I agree with you, Matt, that an open mind and observant nature (along with a healthy capacity for imagination) is all one needs to begin noticing these things. Being in a peaceful, calm environment and state of mind also helps.

Also agree with Lono and others, that certain drugs have the ability to open certain "doors" (I call it "activating latent neuro-pathways, but same difference) in one's perception of this reality. I always keep in mind that everything within our visual range appears to us as "solid", but is really just an illusion of a common frequency/vibrational rate of tiny matter, and our eyes are limited in what they are able to perceive. The more "hallucinogenic" visuals are perceived partly with the aid of our "sixth sense" (or "third eye"... I'd wager that those of us with "hyper-active" third eye's also have an easier time seeing these "anomalies").

i see the bubbles, and in my experience its usually crap on my eyelashes. i also see the visual flicker when i first wake up. its generally my eyes getting used to the light. also, its a human eye's natural tendency to spread a solid color when focusing on something in low light. its how the eye works. But, now that ive basically been an ass about those, i will say that i have experienced some of the ones that you are talking about, and i will admit to being able to generate some of these situations at will. The vibration sight, i can generally call up at will. In my experience it happens best when your mind isnt focused completely. It occurs strongest when your basically just thought-coasting, as i call it. The best way i can describe it is that you let your mind go into auto-pilot and just step back and observe. eventually my reality will begin to flicker as i reach deeper states of self-observation, and during this shifting stage everything does tend to vibrate. Ive also noticed the vibration in times of supreme rage. When i let go, let my anger take over, i cant even focus because my site is vibrating. i basically go by sensing everything around me, and feeling things out. I have also experienced what you have described in the bath tub. I have reached the point where i can call it up at will, and it is a lot more intense then what you have described. from what ive experienced, you are sensing life. the best way i can describe this is i would have you picture the world in a weird way. What you need to do to understand what is happening is basically view reality as a very dense liquid. as you move, you create ripples and flows, but since you are submerged in this liquid reality, and since it is so dense, they do not last long. Next time this happens to you, dont focus on it. Ive found that i can do this in the light only when two major things are occuring. first, i need to be in the shower, and second the water needs to be 120 degrees or higher. basically, if its not burning, its not hot enough. What you need to do is accept pain as what it is, merely a message saying that something is wrong, acknowledge it and give in to it. let it wash over you. use it. Pain is a very powerful thing. In a way, you are manipulating chaos. Basically, you use the heat and the sound of the shower. Focus on it, absorb it. Drown yourself in the senses. The goal of this excersize is to make your mind go completely blank. im sure there are less extreme ways to do this, but if you find one that takes as little as a month to master, let me know. but anyways, once your mind is completely blank, you wont just be sensing yourself moving. you will sense everything moving. When i do this, i can sense every detail around me, including things occuring in different rooms. You can basically feel the currents of reality. a cool thing is, a lot of the time when im doing this, ill break out of it because a song or something will pop into my head, and when i go downstairs singing this song, i will be singing along with the TV, or the computer, which is impossible to hear from my bathroom. my advice is try it out, play with it. let yourself go. and in case you havnt noticed form my post, im a big into the fact that everything is chaotic, and if you can learn to see this chaos, and manipulate it, you can do a lot of trippy things.

Hello from the pyrenees of spain, I experienced lot of visual strange perceptions since chilhood, first one and the most important is the ability to see little dots in all things...(not the same as the bright little dancing spots in the blue sky that i also can se since child) . This little points can congregate or link togheter making images usually in a cartonish style..and from the contemplation of this images you can enter in a complete dream scenario like in a lucid dream. Other kind of spots that i see are the spots that surrounded all things...more active in living things, they are specially bigs in trees.

The most curious visual phenomena is the one i have when im outside with a cloudy day or dense fog..and almost always with snow and fog together that make like a isolation box for the eye. this phenomen is close similar to your.. i see in front of my eyes and with the size you mention a strange vortex.. that swirl and swirl at high frequency and is like a maelstrom,, in the middle of the air...

I have read lot of theories about etheric, entopic, hypnagogic, snowy vision, migraine aura vision etc etc etc..but i dont know nothing...i only see this points...
Of course enteogen drugs can improve this kind of vision... but a hard flu with fever can make you see it more,, and i found that staying without sleep more that one day...uffff i can see with my periferic vision like a ghost movie..lot of forms moving quickly around me.

I also have a strange kind of visions every time i close my eyes and stay looking the inner screnn almost every night.. i see eyes...lot of eyes..disambodied eyes,,, perfect human eyes like in the dali picture.. i see this always..every day... is not an all seeing eye...they are a lot and have differents between them,, sombody can give me a clue about this?

Just this few comentaries and sorry for my bad english.
Happy summer to all you seekers!!!
Nacho

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your replies, they are reassuring. To comment and answer some of your questions....

Lono wrote:

I also see small bubbles in the air, especially in sunlight.

I don't see bubbles, but I see the blue sky as millions of little circles that move and change in brightness. I figured it was just me and the way my brain processes it. But I said this to two of my friends at the beach. One said she saw the same thing, the other had no idea what I was talking about.

montalk wrote:

I've noticed the flickering since about 2001. It flashes between 7-10Hz and is most apparent in dim lighting. Looks like if a ceiling fan is passing over some night light.

That's a great way of explaining it. Perfect in fact. At about the same frequency as a moderately spinning ceiling fan.

tenetnosce wrote:

An interesting thing about the "flickering" you describe relates to something I have been thinking about a lot over the last few years. It's the idea that time is not continuous. Just like pictures flashing across a screen at 60Hz, the world only appears to be smoothly flowing by, when in fact it is a sequence of discrete packets of information that the mind uses to create the illusion of continuity.

I think I get what you mean, if so I had the same thoughts while catching a train a few years ago and watching the track next to me. As the train slowed down, you could see the individual sleepers flashing by, and as it sped up you just saw one constant colour which was in place of sleepers flashing by at a higher frequency. It went from individual objects to one constant object. It is a simple idea yes, but once I realised what I was thinking about it just jumped out at me, and made me realise that what if everything exists like that, along with time speeding up and slowing down whenever. I don't have the answer to it, but it remains something to think about and be aware of.

sinaptix wrote:

I was wondering if anyone here has not done a lot of hallucinogens in the past, and is experiencing some of these things?

Dont do and never have done drugs of any sort ever. I haven't even smoked a cigarette. Not that I care if people do do drugs or not, I just figured I have a great imagination to start with and my mind sees some pretty crazy things anyway that I have no reason to hallucinate. So all that I have described is naturally occuring.

visavis wrote:

Do you or have you been meditating? If so, how often and for how long? I'm curiously studying the effects of meditation in light of certain experiences such as how you describe.

I have meditated in the past, but it isn't something I do regularly. Although, I do listen to clasical music in a way that I would liken to meditation, in that I listen to the music and completely zone out. I relax and think about nothing. But if you mean proper meditation, then no. I would like to start doing it more though.

I hope that answers all your questions. If you have any more please ask. I wasn't expecting such a large response, but I am glad to know there are people who understand and experience these things as well.

Matt

Sinaptix, I did much LSD and such when I was younger, and I experience a lot of what everyone else here has mentioned. I think once that door has been opened, once you get that glimpse, you dont percieve things the same way anymore. Im sure a lot of people that have never used hallucinogens probably do experience similar things, but end up going to the doctor for it!

I notice this flickering often. Sometimes it's more present than others. And it coincides with a vibration I can sometimes feel. 15+ years ago I took LSD and the same sort of flicker was apparent if you were in a dark room, and turn on the light, and it stutters/flickers and dissipates within a few seconds. I did a lot of LSD for a span of a couple years. My vision or the way I perceive things was never the same since. I've wondered if I incurred some sort of physical damage, or if it's some low level or beginnings of etheric vision. A few times I think I have noticed that vibration in solid matter, and the double-take where it goes back to normal. I've also thought maybe LSD *does* make you go insane And a few months after I got into the conspiracy reading, found NR, and etc etc. The flicker and vibration things picked up intensity and it's been much stronger and more constant for me. It seems to me to be consistent with what everyone else has written about the flicker above. I was wondering if anyone here has not done a lot of hallucinogens in the past, and is experiencing some of these things?

This only happend to me a couple times a WHILE back like a year ago.

I also have experienced the visual vibration of objects. Infact it was so intense EVERYTHING around me was swaying/vibrating everywhere and then I started to freak out and have been too afraid to do it since. This was approximately a year and a half ago.

Matt, you may find these two threads relevant to your experiences:

NR: Brain Hemisphere Vibrations

NR: Right there but never seen: pointless eye trick

I've noticed the flickering since about 2001. It flashes between 7-10Hz and is most apparent in dim lighting. Looks like if a ceiling fan is passing over some night light. If I close my eyes and get into an alpha state, then open my eyes quickly, the flashing is quite powerful but fades within a couple seconds. If I open just one eye, I see that the pulsation is not just constant, but kinda sweeps across my field of vision, and same with the other eye except at a slightly different sweep angle and frequency, so that if I open both eyes like that, the combination produces this rapidly shifting/rotating and disorienting flickering, something like "flicker-flicker-flicker-SHIFT-flicker-flicker-flicker."

But most importantly, I noticed that days or weeks can go by when the flickering is barely even perceptible, if at all there. But in the week prior to some matrix-manipulated drama requiring me to be coolheaded to handle it well, the flickering starts up and increases, then on the morning of the situation the pulsations are really intense and seem to amp me up with nervous reactive energy that interferes with sleep, disorganizes my thoughts, and comes with overactive inner chatter. So I think it's either just some natural phenomenon, or else it's the visual byproduct of some artificial frequency zapping designed to put one into an alpha brainwave state or else entrain and lower soul frequency to make one more reactive. Just a guess...

It was part of my hallucinating experience.

Recently a friend took some liquid at Kerville Folk Festival. Kerville is akin to Rainbow Gathering and whatnot. Anyway he took a double shot sugar cube of this liquid and what happened to him was that he said he 'saw god' by percieving the vibrations of everything there is at the same time and having the 'knowing' that everything was also him and god. He said it looked just like you said - seeing everything vibrate . . . He has a theory he shared with me about his experiences on LSD and it is that the drug helps him to see things for what they really are . . outside of the 'illusion' - just energetic forms and that he recognizes that this is what is happening with his perception.

Back in 2001 I read a short book called The Superbeings and did a short meditation as suggested in the book. It said be calm, close your eyes and concentrate on a spot directly behind your heart and keep thinking the phrase "I am love". When I did it, it made me to where I couldn't stop smiling and I felt like I was being filled with love and vibrational energy. Then I stopped and went outside and was shocked because I realized I was percieving everything to be different than before. Everything looked just like what you said about seeing everything vibrate! And everything looked brighter, too. And more energetic and just more alive. But everything I could see, when I looked at it, would be vibrating.
