Hi Lyra,

Thanks for the link to Lloyd's site. Very interesting material. If you remember I had asked a question here: http://forum.noblerealms.org/viewtopic.php?id=4530 and you responded by reviving this thread. That is what is so great about this site. I've noticed that many things I think about bringing up have already been brought up and addressed in detail. I was planning to comment on the issues/questions of domesticated plants and animals but you guys (as usual) had already been there. Thanks again.

Did anyone else happen to notice that he dedicated his book to his parents and "The Invisible College". I thought that was interesting because I was not familiar with term until I read "The War in Heaven" from another thread which was all about The Invisible College.

In my mind this invites comparison between the two works.

I found both ("Everything you Think You Know is Wrong" and "The war in Heaven") to be very interesting reading material. I couldn't help noticing however, that even though "The War in Heaven" deals largely with astral realms and Pye's book deals with aliens he doesn't say much towards acknowledging any link between aliens and the astral plane(s).

The important thing that jumped out me was that both books completely ignored any discussion about spirituality.

It just seems to me that both of the books should have addressed this (spirituality) due to the nature of the subject matter. Again I found both books very interesting and I couldn't disagree with very much of the content (especially Pye) in either book but I'm always a llittle skeptical of the sources of (channeled) information....not so much because of what they said.....but what they didn't say.

I realize the Lloyd’s book is based on research and not channeled but I’m lumping the two here based on the whole Invisible College connection.

This seems to be common with channeled information…lots of truth with gaping omissions. I can’t help but find myself questioning the WHY behind omissions in channeled material.

Comments?

Winston

It not only appears plausible but probable. I also like the fact we're not dealing with some Phd. toting tool from Stanford and the like. I was a little taken back however when reading Pye's bio and seeing that his first career was in military intelligence. I have grown weary and leary of such types because often in retirement they're second careers often rarely fall to far from the tree. In watching the video snipets on the site I must say I did see and hear a man who to me was very genuine and had a great sense of sincereity in his eyes. I'm not out to shoot the messenger, but I've learned one must scutinize the messenger equally with the message. Any thoughts?

In case anybody's curious, here's what the bio says:

"Lloyd Pye is a native of Amite, Louisiana. He attended Tulane University in New Orleans, graduating in 1968 with a B.S. in Psychology. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army to become a Military Intelligence (M.I.) agent. Yes, he’s heard the oxymoron joke and still, after 35 years, has no snappy rejoinder. The Army has its share of bozos, like everywhere else."

I wonder what he did exactly in terms of "intelligence work." Guess we'll never know. I like his work, and like you noted, won't automatically discredit him just because he has MI on his resume. He could be a pawn for somebody's agenda, or might truly be a free and independent person, putting valid ideas out there. I'd like to think it's the latter, because he really does come across as sincere and genuine. As far as my thoughts, it's pretty much the same as yours. Ultimately we all have to make up our own minds as to who to listen to and who not to. Lloyd isn't going to be 100% right in his theory - nobody has all the answers after all, we're all just contributing pieces of the puzzle - but I also don't get the impression that the parts that may be wrong are being put out there knowingly, for some sort of agenda. I like him. I recommend his work for people who are looking at both Evolutionism and Creationism and scratching their heads, thinking that neither makes any sense. I think he's holding a MAJOR piece of the puzzle.

I've seen folks start out pristine, trying to make a difference, fighting hard to get the word out... then comes the much agonized moment of "recognition". They wind up perennially on tour to lame shows and their "flame" dies out. It's a way of killing off valid researchers... sombody on some vid that was posted here... I think it was the John Lear one? anyway he called it the "UFO disease" or something like that. People get on a circuit and do no more real work, and in the end start making stuff up. They get co-opted by "success".

Like I said somewhere else, TPTB see only win-win-win situations. You're on the mark? They'll make you famous and flabby. You're powerfully subversive to the Plans? You get either demonized or marginalized... there's lots of ways of "dealing" with "problematic" researchers. With open ears and raised guard.

Anyway I like Pye's site and slideshows and hold them to be tasty food for thought.

AH! that's another way I meant to list...

I think the theory for intelligent evolution could very well be plausible, after listening to an audio version of the book The Language of God by Francis S. Collins whom if I remember correctly was the head of the human genome project, very intelligent guy. He keeps his book at a mainstream level but only ventures out far enough so that the average mainstream idiot can ponder on the things he talks about. He is aware of a lot of the further out theories like ancient astronauts, ET's, the raelians and seems very open minded. His book fuses together the idea that genes and God may go together but as an open minded scientists leaves open the opportunity for questions and further discovery, you'll see he's a very enlightened individual. Anyways to cap off my point about intelligent evolution, after listening to his book you can see the possiblity that something like this might be possibly, Collins doesn't give too many direct end ideas but leaves everything open ended, and after going into things like darwinism and evolution, all of the "junk-dna" might actually be forms of higher evolution certain dna strands that we don't have access to. I don't think we would find anything of him mentioning hybrids and cheetahs and aquatic monkeys as he does have a carreer. Most of these scientists dont jump too far ahead of themselves in mainstream public, after listening to his book though he does seem to be on similar conclusion that there is something "strange" about our DNA.
