I most vigorously agree with that! 

The only fault I find with Karen is that her approach seems to be that of acceptance of ALL, a passive sort of sitting back and waiting for the negative things to pass on by.   I prefer to confront error and/or negativity when I can, as those confrontations bring my most valued learning experiences.

I say it's a fault, but maybe it's more just a difference in style.  Certainly there are some nuggets of solid wisdom to be found in her material, and I appreciate what she does.

I noticed that it was a full moon right before you said that Lyra. It is getting a bit crazy here at home...

Hey, join the club, apparently I do all the time.     At this point I can no longer worry about who wants to get offended by my words or rubbed the wrong way.   They choose to be extremely sensitive, they choose to be offended, they choose to take things personally.  They could choose to be detached, but they don't.  So don't worry about it.  There's nothing wrong with what you said here and it's a shame that there are so many sensitive people who like to manipulate others with oversensitive offense, to the point where they're basically censoring everybody around them making it so that everybody has to cater to them and what they'd like to hear and what they feel is "acceptable." It's one thing when people disagree and want to debate an issue, it's another when they choose to get offended and throw whiny tantrums, trying to manipulate the other person into altering their personality in order to appease them.  That's bunk.  So rock on with your opinions.  Nothing wrong with that. 

To clarify - I found it refreshing that Karen dresses in regular clothes and uses her regular name and not some foofooy new age alter ego character name while dressed in what essentially amounts to a costume but, I too find it to be too new agey for my liking.........hence the reason I said that it's "not enough on my wavelength" for me to recommend to people.  It's far too soft for my liking, it doesn't tackle the dark stuff going on in this reality and the gritty stuff, looking for ways to wield the sword and rise up and find solutions.  Material like that appeals to me, new age stuff doesn't.

Thanks for sharing this. I never took the time to read her bio. The fact that she put that out there certainly suggests these are important aspects of her development in her own mind.  Though I never had any training at the Cayce center in VA. Beach, I spent a good deal of time there in the late 70's reading the Cayce material.  Of course in those days they were NOT what they are now, and the experience proved most enjoyable.  Cayce's son had much to do with turning that into the megabucks operation it now is and I doubt I'd recognize the place (or the energy) were I to visit at this time.

I'm not all that troubled about the psych and law backgrounds. I certainly got sidetracked into fields of study that helped shape my mind but not my soul.  It seems to me she's evolved quite nicely beyond these rather limited parameters over the course of a lifetime.

Loved this!  And you're absolutely right it would be exceedingly boring if we all agreed with all content all the time. 

Here we're in complete agreement!  For me it seems as soon as I decide that THIS is the way (the truth and the light) something or other comes along that bursts the bubble and reminds me it is indeed all illusion.

For me, some of Karen's "very specific predictions" do resonate because they provide a mirror that reflects that at least one other is -- at times -- experiencing energy fluctuations very similarly to the way I'm experiencing them.  As Lyra says, " . . . she doesn't come across like she's trying to scam people and take advantage of their hopeful naivete.  You can tell she sincerely believes what she's writing."

gcg I hear what you are saying and I get the same mirror effect from various other sites and writers that are very skilled in verbalising what one is feeling in isolation, and it does have an amplifying effect when realising our connectedness. I have never really questioned Karen's sincerety and don't think of her readers as being naive but have instead reacted according to my human condition and impulse. The psychology and law background bothers me for obvious reasons (there I go offending a few more NR members probably), and also I have known some gifted people and that has not been the usual chosen pathway - usually more in an artistic, creative or service to others field. The Cayce psychic training is also a bit of a negative for me. If the world was a loving, giving, sharing, just place I would have very different thoughts.

Yes I am being very judgemental and it's easy to judge as opposed to building a site, but if we all agreed on everything then there would be no need for this forum. Just the very first post ...with thousands of replies of ..'my words exactly'.

Lastly I also found her site a bit too new agey (in contradiction with Lyra) but on reflection Lyra is right about the selling of books not really being an issue. I guess we can't live on love alone .....yet. 
I still won't be giving 'er a penny though, for her thoughts or otherwise and I don't think she will be too upset at the loss of my readership. Anyway enough of my thoughts. No doubt as things sometimes work out I will look at her next update and it will resonate with me like nothing ever before and I will go strangely silent as I rethink my world.
