I'd recommend just trying the different presets. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. You also might try the different combinations in the library. "Surf" is a very basic one, yet to me it is very profound in its effect . . . r e l a x i n g

All these files I think are all monaural, monaural and isochronic. This means they can be effective without headphones. The author of these files can be found on the brainwave generator page.
