After using it for a few months now, what surprises me the most is how many Asians and Moroccans want to practice their English. Apparently Skype is big in Morocco...

I've used it now for months, talking to friends in the UK -- for free.  The connections are great -- sometimes we get bumped off -- but usually its awesome.  For within the US, I've had no "bump off" problems.

Here's an interesting article about the developers prior owners of Skype.  Although now owned by eBay, I continue to hope that the philosophy of the original owners remains true -- communication should be free -- and I'll add easy to accomplish and far reaching.  Then perhaps we can have an enlightened society, even within
this material 3D world.
