Just this week i've started writing down my dreams, i can usually remember around a page of writing per dream. I've remembered my dreams every day this week!

I have been trying to live as much of my life as possible without a computer and T.V.
Other than the West Wing and the Sopranos i don't feel like watching ANY TV now. I still want to go on my laptop ( which was also in the shop and that's why i started trying to go without everything.)
For all those who haven't tried, go a week without any TV at all. The world starts to seem quiet.

Intresting, I have also begun to jot down my dreams this week. So far so good, except this morning I didn't write it down and it quickly faded, but I was still able to recall some of it later on.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

Oh, and on the subject of dreams, I've been having quite a few semi-lucid dreams, where I can move things like the jedi's do in Star Wars, I am only able to manipulate things in the dreamscape, moves things towards me or away, semi-flying and quick manifestations.

I kinda miss full lucidity now, instant manifestations along with environmental control and sometimes even character creation!

Whoa.. can't wait to dream tonight!

When you wake up, keep your eyes closed. This is very important. The light sets you in motion for the day ahead and your brain will quicky boot up for, whiz, shower, toothbrush, toast, where are those damm keys, meeting at 9:15 with the team.

Just keep your eyes clolsed and breath slowly and deeply. Stay still and relax. This works, and after a week or so you will have yourself conditioned just nicely to recall your dreams. Remembering dreams is very important.

There is much to be learned by ones dreams as we all know.

Also, try to have the room as dark as possible in the morning when you wake up. Again, its the light that brings your thinking to the forefront and away from the dreamstate.

best regards

Two things I can recommend for remembering your dreams and luckily both of these are cheap. The first one is called the "dream enhancer" which is a small orgone device you put near your pillow at night. I'ved used this and have had some vivid dreams and also felt as if, in some circumstances I had an OBE but had trouble remembering what happened in the OBE.

So for plain old dreaming this might work wonders:

http://www.ozarkorgonite.com/catalog/pr … 504c437b23

Another thing I've noticed is that EMF's interfere with remembering dreams, one inexpensive thing you could do is wear an open ended copper bracelet to bed. They sell them with magnets on them too these days, but either just the plain copper bracelet or the one with magnets is fine. The plain copper goes for about 5 dollars. Open ended copper bracelets cut way down on EMF's either when you are awake or asleep. The bracelet I use is great, and I almost always have more vivid dreams, and for me it's very easy to use, just put it on my left wrist and fall asleep.

Here are two more tricks to try:

* try to fall asleep an hour earlier than your normal time

* wake yourself up after 4-6 hours, stay up for an hour, then go back to sleep.

Also, when coming out of a dream, see if you can quickly think of several keywords or a couple phrases relating to the dream you just had. Hold on to these as you open your eyes and reach for the paper to jot them down. Then you have a set of anchors to jog your memory as you write a more detailed version. I think the attitude of wanting to catch them before they disappear, of finding dream recall to be a precious thing and acting on this by consistently writing down what you remember - that in itself will improve your recall. Intent built up over time helps your self-awareness survive the sleep-wake or wake-sleep transition.

Cool... thanks for mentioning this. I would like to be able to remember dreams more as well. If I can write *immediately* upon waking, without moving much, just turning on my bedside lamp... I can still remember most details usually, and the process helps the memory stick.

I'm trying to 'catalogue' if you will supplements which I can feel do something. So far I've got:

- zinc: overall 'robust' feeling. take with vitamin b6 to help it absorb
- vitamin C, echinacia: upon feeling first effects of a cold, i take one or two good doses of both. The key is, don't take high doses all the time... just when you start feeling it. Usually only works if combined with a positive attidude that it's working.
- green "phyto" powder: balanced feeling mentally, when i take 1 tbsp a day with water. a lot of vitamins and minerals in this veggie powder.
- iron: may provide me with an increased mental clarity
- vitamin a: feeling of better functioning of the eyes... less fuzzy

Forgive me if this has been addressed before.

After reading some of the dream posts I started to get the urge to write my dreams down again. Only problem is that they quickly disappear from consciousness upon waking.

I read somewhere, a long time ago, that taking vitamin B6 helps in remembering dreams. I can confirm this. I started back on it about a week ago and was able to remember multiple dreams from one night with great detail. Not only that but I had the first lucid dream I've had in about a decade. Not sure if the lucidity was assisted by the vitamin but the coicindence is there none the less.

Figured this could prove to be of assistance to some as it has to me. I just take a 100mg tab sometime after a meal.
