I just found a really great white necklace that would go well with any white clothes to keep you in a positive frame of mind. The white stone is quartzite. This is not an expensive stone and would probably do wonders for anchoring positive change:

Funny, I have almost always chosen white furniture, and had a white car for almost ten years. I'd wear more white shirts, except that young kids and "white clothes" do not go too well together. White socks???

Another thing that seems to improve my mood though is wood. My current place is almost all covered in wood paneling and it feels comfortable. Plain brown doesn't seem to have the same effect. It feels different from white. White is more cheerful maybe while wood is more relaxing. At least that's my impression.

Yeah, it was great because the blue carpeting gave it a nice ocean-y feel to it. It matched South Florida perfectly.

Most apartments are unfortunately done up in beige, beige walls and carpeting, and it creates a yellowish tone to everything. I don't know about others, but beige and yellow tones don't go over too well on my psyche. With beige walls I find myself having to compensate with colored lights of some sort (like maybe blue or purple) to drown out the beige. White is nice though, very calming.

Another thing I like and which is another newly formed habit is....white Christmas lights as decorating function (year round). We have white Christmas lights strung up in this one nook area of our living room where the bookshelves are, and it makes things feel and look good when they're on. With a hanging plant there it looks even better.

Wow... that's a great idea. I had not thought to extend the color white to my apartment. Now you got me thinking, about finding a new apartment with white walls and blue rugs. I might even redecorate a bit the apartment I'm in now. Thanks for that!

I forgot to add, the fact that you mentioned material, as well as color having an effect. On the way home today, after coming across the information about the color white in the above mentioned book, I thought "oh wow, I wonder what white silk would do, (thinking of Montalk's article on silk), since those two things are such a good choice". But then thought that finding a nice white silk shirt would be almost impossible for a guy. But maybe a white silk bathrobe?.... I guess we have to get creative here...lol.

Glad I could remind you here Montalk. Its little things like this that sometimes make BIG differences. I too started to think about buying white pants, since I've never owned a pair. I remember seeing white Levi's once, and might try them, although at this time I'm too chicken...lol.

I don't think you have to dress from head to toe in white, to have it have a benefical effect. I also think you can find "cool clothes" in white, and not have to worry. I have some shirts I really like that I think look good even though they are all white.

To dress all in white, I would recommend only doing this at home at first (for guys anyhow). Women have it a bit easier, since wearing white slacks is much more acceptable to most, but I'm sure there are exceptions to this too.

I like to wear bathrobes while I'm hanging out at home, and already have two (green and blue ) but might invest in one more that's all white. So slowly I'm moving in the direction of white. I also dislike the fact (again from a guys point of view...lol) that you can only wear white, let's say, a shirt once or twice, then you have to wash it. I really, really like dark colored shirts you can wear again and again, until they smell really bad....lol.

I had also hoped this string of posts, might make some people go "oh yeah, I've been running into white alot too... I wonder if my HS has been pointing this out to me, without me realizing it?"

Sometimes little things like this, can be easily overlooked when it comes to moving more towards a spiritual lifestyle. So I hope color becomes more of a priority thing now that it's been brought up, I hope more people notice how they feel with different colors on.

This seems to be very true. When I moved to Florida, getting out of "Dark City" Portland Oregon and starting things anew, I wound up with an apartment that had blue carpeting and all white walls and cabinets. It had a great peaceful, positive feel to it, I loved it. Soon after I realized that most everything in my apartment that filled in the space was...white. White fans. White dish rack. White tea pot. White garbage can. White dishes, white handled silverware, white everything! I noticed it and realized that there was something to this, it wasn't an accident that I was choosing everything in white or that things I already owned were coming together in this way, to converge into one huge White Mania. I loved that apartment though, and it always had a really good vibe. Color is everything.

Thanks for the tip. Aren't padded rooms and straightjackets white? Might have been intentional to help patients. Hey, if it works for them, it could work for us - (insert joke here). But seriously, you mean white clothes from head to foot, or just like a shirt? I don't have any white pants for concern over spaghetti and curry accidents. Yes, clothing colors and styles do affect me subliminally - maybe the material itself makes a difference. I'll be more watchful in finding correlations between mood and clothing color, to see how other colors compare with white or black.

It could be a great cure, not to mention cheap one, for depression. I wonder if anyone ever did any tests on manic depressives to see if you dressed them in all white would they feel less depressed?

Aside from the healing aspects of this color, in the beginning of the year I asked my HS/guides/angels to help me move closer to my spiritual self. One of the things I was intutively lead to, not the only thing but one of the main things, was having more white colored "things" in my life. I first felt this happen after having bought a new white shirt, I could not help but feel different in this shirt, but couldn't put my finger on it. Not long after that, I was going to buy a new car and asked my HS/guides/angels to help me find the best car, and also one that would help me spiritually. I had my heart set on a blue car as I shopped around, but couldn't help but notice many white cars being almost forced upon me. At first, I thought, "what is it with these white cars" and then remembered my request for help from my higher aspects. Sure enough I bought a white car.

A few weeks ago I found out through an astrologer that my "soul color" is white. Needless to say, I am slowing trying to wear more white, even though I do have more dark colored clothes in general.

I just thought I'd pass this on to anyone wishing to make a change, or help themselves feel better or less depressed or even heal a long standing sickness. I never really paid too much attention to how I feel with different colors on but now, I can't help but notice how much better I feel with light colored clothing. The more sensitive I become to energy the more I notice the affects of colors.
